Sending You Warm Hugs

Phew... Is it just me or time seems to fly by way too fast? I was just telling hubby that we're only 6 weeks away from a new year!! I remember when I was younger time seems so slow. And, the older I get it seems like time move faster. This makes me feel melancholy sometime.

Holidays around the corner not helping either. I tend to get very moody during this time as this is usually when I feel homesick the most. Nothing beats being with my own family during the holidays. I miss my brothers humorous banters, chatting with my SIL, cuddling with my mom (yes, I still cuddle with my mom whenever I can!!).

Anyhoo... my MFT card below using the adorable moose from BB Merry Christmoose set definitely capture what I've been doing  quite a bit lately. Daydreaming & wishing I could hug my family.

By, the way, I am also up on The Ton blog today sharing a couple sweet cards, including an interactive card. Hope you will check them out. May your Thursday be a great one. Hugs!

Puppy Dog Kisses

It's me again! I am back for my 2nd post for the day. Time for new sketch challenge from My Favorite Things.

Fun sketch, right? Now, for my card, I kind of flippy flip it a bit. Flip the angle, flip the banner location. :)

As you can see, I am still loving the brick stencil. And, how adorable is this puppy?? You know, I can't resist a cute puppy set. From here, please head on over to MFT Challenge blog and check out what my team mates have created for this sketch challenge. Thank you for swinging by here.

Whisking You A Sweet Holiday

Hi peeps! Eeekkk... busy posting day for me today. This is my 1st post for today. It's time for a new theme challenge from SugarPea Designs. This time as the holidays are fast approaching, we all could use some more holiday tags or cards, right? So, our theme this time is Home for the Holidays.

Now, for me, especially when I am home with my family in Indonesia, home for the holidays also means spending some time with my SIL, Gina, in the kitchen as she makes cookies, cupcakes, etc. for her customer's order. I enjoyed this time as this is usually when I get to catch up with her. Trust me, when I chatted with my SIL, we could chat for hours. I only get to see her when I go home which is not often enough and literally we could chat till late in the evening. She's the closest thing I have for a sister. Heck, I never really consider her as SIL, more just my sister. :)

This everyday moment when I am home for the holiday is special for me. So, with this in mind, I made this sweet tag as it reminds me so much of my SIL.

Hope you'll play along with us. For more inspirations, check out the beautiful creations that the SugarPeas have created for this challenge HERE. I'll be back with another post in a couple hours!

You're Kinda Pawesome

I've been going through my cards quite a bit lately and what I notice is that I don't have enough thank you  card. So, time to fix that!

And, when it comes to thank you card, your card doesn't necessarily have to have the word thank you. Like on this card, I went with the sentiment "You're Kinda Pawesome".

I am still saying thank you by saying how awesome the recipient is. :) Funny, how much I am enjoying making cards with cat image, considering I am very much a dog person. Well, I love animals in general, though.

I am sure by now, you have heard of Jennifer McGuire Share Handmade Kindness, which encourage crafters to share kindness with others through our crafts. For me besides doing Caring Hearts Card Drive, I am also been more diligent in sending cards out. And, making more thank you cards is part of that mission. Too often, we don't show our appreciation enough to those who are close to us and I want to be better at it.

So, yes, I will definitely be making more thank you cards or appreciation cards. With all the things that going on around the world, our world need more kindness. Yes, our act may only be a fraction of what needed, but if more people doing it, we never know the effects it may have. Have a blessed Monday everyone.

Cozy Santa

Phew... this weekend is such a whirlwind. So much to do, so little time. Our house remodeling takes longer than we expected. The house still a mess and I am beyond ready for everything to be finished and be put back in their place.

Pretty much spent my Saturday morning cleaning the house, then in the afternoon, we went to an Indonesia Culinary Festival at the Indonesia Consulate General. Boy oh boy, did I go to town buying food! I miss my mom's home cooking so much and the food they sold at the festival were a consolation to ease my homesickness. Let just say, we don't have to cook meals for Saturday, Sunday, Monday. ;)

Then on Sunday, I met up with my girlfriend and went to check out Houston Northwest Christmas Vintage Market. I am glad that it turned out better than what I expected. Most important thing was I get to catch up with an ol' friend.

Besides that I am also cranking up a bunch of card. I have quite a long design team to do list. Now, when you're short on time, sometimes you have to look for way to save on  time. For this, I turned to Crafter's Companion Moonbeam Meadow Christmas digital stamp collection.

Crafter's Companion supplies: Moonbeam Meadow Christmas CD-ROM, Diamond Stickles

This image comes colored and ready to go. All I did was print it out, trim it and add patterned paper to a card base (then add the image). I mean, if you need to do mass production, and you're super short on time, this is definitely the way to go.

Well, peeps, that's all for today. I have 3 puppies that  begging for my attention. See you all later!

Toasty Greetings

Hi peeps! It's time for new color challenge from My Favorite Things! As you can see, above is the challenge color combo. Kind of funny, how a color combo that I  think I wouldn't like, ended up became a color combo that I do love.

Here's a look at my 1st card. This penguin from Toast Greetings  is just way too cute! I love penguins.

I love the way the triangle border look, that I decided to make another card. This time I follow the angle from yesterday's sketch challenge 254. With these color combo, I think these cards would work well for guy card. What do you think?

Now, I know you want to see more fab projects. Please head on over to MFT Challenge Blog to see what my team mates has created.

Oh, oh... I almost forgot. Yesterday, I got this beauty in the mail. Love!

Chaitali Narla who designed the card drive logo for me, decided to spoil me and have Joscelyne Cutchens made this Caring Hearts Card Drive stamp. I mean, after doing this card drive for 6 years, to actually have a stamp made for it, makes me feel so official. I know it just a stamp, but looking at it, I feel so touched and grateful for the loving thoughts that go behind it.

Thank you, Chaitali & Joscie for your thoughtfulness and kindness. Grateful to have you both as my friend. Have a blessed day everyone!
