All The Sentiments

Hi friends. Today, I hope to bring smile and joy to you through my cards. First up is this card featuring Dancin' Birthday Dragon from Spellbinders paired with the newly released Stampendous All The Sentiments stamp & die set.

I die cut all the dragon pieces from white cardstock (except for the eyes and claws) and ink blending various colors on the. Piece them all together. On this card, I actually stamped the small sentiment first after measuring that I have enough opening for the cursive happy word. Stamp and die cut the cursive word. Adhere the dragon head with foam adhesive and leave the rest of the body dangling, so the body can swing. Here's my confession.... Only after all these done that I realized I want to add some shading on the background and am too lazy to undo the sentiment, so I ended up adding the shading above it.

I fix that booboo on the card below. Here, I actually added the shading before I adhere the word happy. For variation, I decided to use Dancin' Birthday Monster Etched Dies set. I adore this li'l monster.

2 fun interactive cards. These cards makes me smile and I hope somehow in a small way they also makes you smile & brighten your day. Till next time... :)

Glimmering Buttercups

Hi there. As fans of hot foiling, I am excited that I get to play with the new Spellbinders Glimmering Buttercup Glimmer Plate & Stencils Bundle. They really knock it out of the park with the new Glimmering Flower collection. I want them all!

For my 1st card I hot foiled the flower using Copper hot foil roll. Then colored the image with various inks using the stencil that came with the bundle. Finish by adding sentiment from More Sentiments set hot foiled with Mini Rainbow Stripe hot foil roll.

For my  next card I went with pink and orange tone for the flowers and hot foiled the image with Matte Gold, which is one of my all time favorite hot foil roll to use. It just has such an elegant feeling to it.

Here's  close up look to show the gold shimmering under the light.

I hope you enjoy today's inspiration. As this post goes up, I will be in Japan with hubby chasing the cherry blossoms. If you'd like to see my travel adventure as well, you can follow me on Instagram under WIRIANTA. I don't have separate account for personal or card making, it's all in one. Just For Fun

Hi friends. This year, I definitely been making more cards for fun and not for assignment. I am making a conscious effort to use sets that I bought but haven't use or rarely use. Considering how much I spent in crafting goodies, I feel like I should actually us them instead of just collecting them. Hah!!

Today I want to share a few cards. For this first card, am using The Greetery Leaves All Around stencil with sentiment from Verve Stamps (they closed their door a few years ago, but they used to be one of my favorite company). I love Irish Blessings sentiment. For me they're just such a nice wishes to send or to say to your loved ones.

For the next two cards,  I used Pinkfresh Studios Berries & Blossoms set and again sentiment from Verve Stamps set. This sentiment set is part of my must keep for as long as possible. :)

I have shared the last 2 cards on my Instagram, but then I realized I haven't share much cards on my blog, so might as well post them here as well. I hope you enjoy these cards and my hope is somehow, some way in my little way I can help inspire you to keep creating. Thanks for stopping by here. Till next time.

Spellbinders' March Stitched Die

Hi there creative peeps. Happy March. I want to pop in today to share my Spellbinders' March Stitching Die Club card. Spellbinders has lots of kits to choose from, so you have plenty of options. This month's stitched die kit is beautiful and can be used for so many occasions. From birthday to just thinking of you or on my case I think this be great for my niece who's been studying hard to pass her exams and I just want to let her know I am proud of her.

As a book lover myself, this set reminds me so much of the beauty of real books. Not the digital kind. I love digital book, but there's something about touching those pages. Anyway this card is pretty straight forward. Die cut the pieces, add the stitching and then simply arrange all the pieces. Finish with sentiment from Always and Forever Sentiment Strips Press Plate.

And, I chose the dark background to make the pastel colors of the book, the teacup and the flowers popped. I hope you enjoy today's inspiration and as always may something good happen to you today that make you smile and fill you heart with gratitude.

Monster & Dinosaur

It's been a long while since I play with fun, cute monster stuff. When I saw these monsters from Spellbinders, I knew I need to have them. I mean they're ridiculously cute! Here are some of the cards I made. The first 2 cards are using the Dancin' Birthday Monster Etched Dies set.

And, the best part? Their legs can swing side to side. There's little opening on top of the legs where I can put a small piece of foam adhesive (which hidden behind the monster body) and since there's no adhesive on the leg, the legs can move freely around the foam adhesive.

I just love how they're turned out. Like candy cute monster. The color reminds me of cotton candy. Hah!

For the next batch, I am showcasing Birthday Dinosaur Etched Dies. I think this would make such cute birthday cards for kids.

To add a bit more festivities, I decided to use rainbow hot foil for the sentiment.

I hope you enjoy today's cards. Wherever you are I wish that may today something good happen to you that makes you smile.

Queen Anne's Lace

Hi there. I am popping in today to share this card I made using Spellbinders Queen Anne's Lace & Ladybugs Etched die set.

I have to admit, at first I feel a bit apprehensive about this set because it seems like it's difficult, but thank goodness I was wrong. Since I've been into lilies a lot lately, I decided to paired it with the lilies from Oriental Lily and Wellies from Garden Club by Susan Tierney-Cockburn. I think the yellow lilies paired really well with the navy background.

This card definitely not for mailing. I do however love to tuck in this kind of 3D card inside a gift bag. I think it will brighten the day of whoever receiving it. Stay tune for simple but fun cards that's the opposite of this 3D beauty. Till next time.

The Ton 9th Anniversary Release

I still can remember when I got invited to join The Ton design team 8  years ago. Right about when  they're about to celebrate their 1st anniversary.  I was so excited because I love their gorgeous flower sets and am grateful that as we celebrated The Ton 9th anniversary I am still part of the team. And, I can honestly say I still have most of their sets because for me, their flower sets are just gorgeous and I just can't part with them.

To celebrate this anniversary, the Ton is releasing some fun sets and I am showcasing a few of the new sets. First up is my card featuring Postage Party Die and Postage Sunflower Stencil.

I die cut the postage  background and then adding the sunflowers using the Postage Sunflower Stencil. Put aside. Directly on the card base I used the Postage Stripes Stencil to do the border. Once finish, I adhere the Sunflower postage panel to the card base. Stamp the sentiment and the postage mark from Not A Bill set .

Next, am showcasing the Sweet Cherry Blossom stencil and Sweet Cherry Blossom Coordinating die.

This card pretty straight forward. For the background panel, I embossed it using Single Plaid Coverplate Die. Then, I inked up the stencil, die cut it and then adhere to the card base. Finish by adding sentiment from Rose Labels set and Soft Pink Gem Rhinestones.

That's all I have for today. Please stop by The Ton blog and teammates blogs for more inspirations from this release. Thank you for stopping by here.

XO Monogram Cards

Hi peeps. One of my favorite card maker is Yana Smakula and my cards today are inspired by her creations HERE. For me, her cards always so eye catching, so inspired by her monogram cards, I created the cards below showcasing more of Spellbinders Every Occasion Floral Alphabet.

First up is the Floral X

For this one, I used white ink pad for the press. Then since the result only soft white and I want it to pop more, I decided to do white embossing. The white embossing definitely make it popped more against the black background. Then, I decided to use my pastel to add some color. I simply rubbed the pastel chalk on the flowers and get this beautiful result. For the flower, I used Blooming Heart Large Die.

I really love the way this card turned out. Now, if my 1st card is bold, the next one I went with softer design, to showcase Floral O.

This time, for the flower I used Four Petal Thank You Floral Etched Die and finish the card by adding some mix size rhinestones.

I hope you enjoy today's cards and may you always find some times to do things that brings you joy.

Monogram Cards

Have you try Spellbinders BetterPress, yet? I am a fan of them, so am pretty excited when I saw their new alphabet collection, Every Occasion Floral Alphabet BetterPress plates collection. Below are some of the cards I made using some of the plates.

For my cards I used monogram that closer to the end of the alphabet list. First up, is the Floral U.

I inked up the plate and run the cardstock and the plate through the BetterPress machine. I always love the crisp look of the result. Once done, I die cut the piece using one of the arch die from Essential Arches Etched Dies set, I watercolor the flower and added strips of glittery paper to the bottom of the arch. Adhere the arch piece to card base and finish by adding some sequins.

On to the next card, am showcasing the Floral Q. For this one I used gold ink and since the color not quite as dense as I want, I use metallic watercolor to make it denser.

Last but not least for this post, am showcasing Floral W. Of course, I choose this monogram because W also happened to be the initial of my family last name. On this one, I did soft watercolor wash for the background and once that dry, I watercolor the flowers.

That's all I have for today. I have more monogram cards to share, so, stay tune! Happy Mondal all.

Carnation Thanks

Growing up, my 1st flower bouquet was a bouquet of carnation from my dad. I remember my mom got the roses and I got the carnation. Now, my dad wasn't good at these kind of thing, so getting the flower was very special for me and since then carnation have a special meaning for me. So, when I received this Spellbinders Carnation Etched dies, I was pretty excited to play with it.

When you click on the Spellbinders Carnation Etched dies link, you'll also see the video of how to put together this flower. For my card, I decided to paired it with Floral Archway 3D Embossing folder. I love, love this embossing folder. I consider it as one of the prettiest 3D embossing folder from Spellbinders. For the greenery, I used Winter Evergreen Foliage dies and Towering Blooms dies. To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment from Sending Sentiments set and die cut it using the Coordinating Sending Sentiment die set and added some mix size rhinestones.

Hope you enjoy today's card and may your week starts off wonderfully. Cheers....

Kaleidoscope Garden

Hi peeps. I am enjoying some crafting time this weekend and excited to share a couple of the cards that I finished. It's been a while since I played with Spellbinders Better Press plate and am happy to get back to it. I made a couple cards using Kaleidoscope Garden set that was released this January.

This set reminds me a lot of those coloring book. It's quite therapeutic to color. After I pressed the image I took the time to watercolor the image for the card above. For sentiments, I stamped the sentiment from Sending Sentiments set and die cut it using the Coordinating Sending Sentiment die set

Now, for my next card, I took the easy way. I simply did ink blending on the background panel before doing the letter press.

I am using the same sentiment set as on the first card to finish it. I do like the easy way of the 2nd card and I think it would be fun to create the gradient background with green or blue hues. Well peeps, that's all I have for today. Hope you're enjoying a good weekend.

Spellbinders Stitched Floral

Hi friends. Happy February. I want to pop in today to share this card I made using Spellbinders' February Stitching Die Club kit, This month's kit is a beauty!

I used my favorite soft blue cardstock from Spellbinders called Glacier to die cut the background and used teal and green thread for the leaves and circles. As someone who loves soft colored cardstock, I try to keep several sets of this Glacier cardstock in my stash. Once I am done with al the stitching, I adhere all the pieces to the card base. For the sentiment, I hot foiled one of the sentiment from More Sentiments Hot Foil set. The complete the card, I die cut one of the flower from Four Petal Thank You Flower set a couple times and tucked it behind the sentiment.

Am pretty happy with the way this card turned out. That flower is a un one to stitch as you really can stitch it in different pattern. Here's hoping I'll get to do more card with this set.

Friends, that's all I have for today. Till next time.

Spellbinders January Stitched Die Club Kit

Hi friends. I've been doing some stitching this weekend and want to pop in to share this card I made using Spellbinders' January Stitching Die Club kit,

How adorable is this kit? This bee is a fun one  to stitch. And, if you're not into stitching, you really could just draw line with fine tip colored marker to create faux stitching. I happened to enjoy stitching, so I went for it. For the body I used double threads and for the wing to create a delicate look, I only use a single thread. Once I am done with all the stitching, I assemble the body and the wings and put aside.  For the background, I die cut the flower stems several times. I estimate where I want to adhere the bee and only added the glue on the body part at this point. This way, I can arrange the flowers all around it. Only once I am happy with all the flower stems placement that I added glue to the bottom wings and foam adhesive to the top wings for extra dimension.

Hope you enjoy today's card.  And, be sure to check out my Instagram account HERE as I posted more cards there than on the blog. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Cheers....

Whale In A Bottle

My intention for 2024 is to create more using sets that are brand new to me. They might have been an older sets that were released last year or even 2 years ago, but they're still new to me because I haven't use them. Well, this set here, Spellbinders Whale In A Bottle, I got back in August 2023.

I remember when I saw this set, I was like I have to have it right away. I can't wait. And yet, it sat on my box of sets to use for months. Whether it's work or other stuff, this set just sat there till this past weekend! I finally get to use it. Yay!

I had so much fun playing with this set. Whale is one of my favorite animal and quite a few of the Instagram account that I follow are whale related accounts. I am so thrilled for the way this card turned out and definitely am planning to create more with this set.

Hope you find some time to create this week. See you next time. Cheers....

More Hummingbirds

Hi friends. This past couple of weeks, I've been enjoying crafting for the sake of crafting. It's not for any assignment. I find it as quite liberating and I've been making a bunch of cards. On my last post I shared a project using Spellbinders Hummingbird and Lily Dies from Bibi Cameron. Today, I am sharig another card I made using the same set, just changing the color theme and the sentiment.

For the next card, I am using just the lily from the set & paired with this super adorable Memory Box  Layered Hummingbird. I am pretty picky on the kind of bird set that I love and this one just went to the top of my favorite because it's so cute and I can make a bunch of them in short amount of time.

To finish the card, I used a sentiment from old Papertrey Ink set. And, I am not kidding when I said old, but it's one of those set that I just adore.

Well peeps, that's all for today. We're getting ready for a downpour tomorrow on our neck of the wood and I have a feeling that I'll be spending quite a bit of my time in my craft room. Till next time.

Hummingbird Love

Hi friends. Happy 2024! As we enter this new year, my goal is to spend more time using sets that I purchased but haven't really used. I am sure you all been in my position, where you see sets that you just have to have and then once you get them, they sat in your drawer for the longest time unused. Well, I am challenging myself to change that. At least every 2 weeks, I want to create using set that  is brand new to me. They might be released a year ago or longer, but they still brand new in their package, so, new to me. :)

Not only I find this challenge refreshing, it also give me freedom to just use any sets and combine sets from various different company.

And with that in mind, I want to start this year with this gorgeous Spellbinders Hummingbird and Lily Dies from Bibi Cameron. I love hummingbird and lilies are among my favorite flowers, so when I saw this set, I just had to buy it. And, yep, it sat unopened for the longest time and other new release becomes priority, etc. Well, now I am happy that I actually get to use it!!

I am seriously in love with this set. I actually made 3 cards with this set and will share the others soon. Anyway, with this one, I just die cut everything from white cardstock and then ink blending various inks for the flowers and the bird. Splatter the card base with some gold watercolor and splatter the flower and the bird with some white ink. Finish with sentiment from and old, old set from Papertey Ink.

The way the color come out on the hummingbird makes me happy. So, friends, what do you think of this challenge? Care to play along just for fun? I hope you will and create just for the sake of create. For fun. Not an assignment, just creating because that's something you enjoy.

May this 2024 be filled with many creative moment and joy for you all. Cheers!!
