Merry Christmas

Selamat hari Natal. Feliz Navidad. Joyeoux Noel. Merry Christmas to all my family and friends who celebrate it. We had a pretty quiet Christmas. In the morning hubby and I exchanged gifts and surprise, surprise, our gift for each other has Pug on it.

That's how you know you live in a Pug lover home! I got  hubby a Pug shirt and mug and got myself a set as well. Hey, when you want to get the present you really want, sometime you just have to go get it yourself. 

But, hubby been learning, too. This year he got me a Pug puppies calendar, 2 Pug socks (cause he knows I love colorful socks) and a Pug pillow cover that actually still on its way in the mail. Hah! Hubby said my reaction to his presents this time is much better than when he got me a Coach purse when we first dating. LOL, I am just never a brand kind of girl. We ended returning that purse for a Silhouette. 

These Pug gifts, I love them. They make me happy. sometime, it's the simple things that counts. :)

Now, that you know how much I am obsessed LOVE pug, do I need to say  more about the set I used for this card below?

When I saw this Playful Pooches set from Clearly Besotted, I pretty much squeal and ordered it right away. All, because of the dog with the curly tail. Hah!

It's the night before Christmas.... And, all the elves are busy scurrying around to make sure all the gifts are all packed and ready to to go. Except, for this li'l elf, who's more interested in decorating his Christmas tree. He's trying to find the perfect placement for his ornament. :)

Elephants & Giraffe

Eeepss... Two more days before Christmas!! This week sure feel weird to me. We had our company Christmas part on Monday evening and by the time the evening end, it felt as if it was weekend. I definitely didn't feel like getting up the following day.

But, from the moment I arrived at the office, it's been go,go, go. Being a short week, I am scrambling to finish thing a much as possible. Literally, all 3 of us girls in the office, just working away, only had fast food for lunch and then it's all back to work. I felt like I went home still frazzle and all.

Hopefully, with Thursday off, I can finally chill out for the first time this December. Yes, it's been that crazy! Anyway, in the midst of all the hustle and bustle of the season, we have this sketch challenge for you, just in case you need your own you time to just play & chill with some card making. :)

And, here's my interpretation of the sketch. And, yes, sorry, I am still way obsessed with these elephants!

For my card today, I am showcasing The Ton Stamps who's also sponsoring today's event. I have made a card with a very similar design using this Holiday Flourishes set before. I just can't resist to repeat the design again with slight change here and there.

I love adding detail to solid stamped image. Here, on each leaf, I added some shading to create interest. Once I laid all the leaves, I added shimmer to the leaves and berry using Spectrum Noir Shimmer marker. Finished with various size sequins (I used Glass Slipper Sequins). To let the pretty layers on the card shine, I stick with CAS design.

SSS You Have My Heart Release

Today, Simon Says Stamp is releasing their newest collection called "You Have My Heart". There's plenty of products that's perfect for the  upcoming Valentine's Day, but they can easily be used for everyday project as well.

I got to play with Scribble Heart & Arrow wafer dies and made a sending love card that could be used for Valentine as well as non-Valentine moment. :)

Once I finished laying all the cut out and adhere them to the card, I cover each heart and the sentiment as well with Spectrum Noir Shimmer Marker. I usually work on my cards at night, so kind of hard to get good lighting to capture the shimmer. On the close up below, you could see the pretty shimmer on the purple heart.

The Voice & A Sweet Elephant

Weee... I am super duper happy today. Hah... My favorite on The Voice won it! I was so anxious waiting for the result and was holding my breath, that literally when they announced the winner, I jump and clapped so hard, that I literally scared Eli out. He probably thought, yikes, my mommy went crazy cray!

LOL, I know, I get way too invested on The Voice this season. But, what can I say they're soooo good this year. Best season so far!

Anyway, back to card making stuff, now that I let my excitement out. :) It's time for a new sketch challenge from My Favorite Things. Here's the sketch:

And, here's my card that I think is simply sweet & adorable to boot! Have I told you how much I love elephant? Hah!!

Seriously, the elephant combine with the scallop rectangle just ooze cuteness & sweetness, don't you think?

Friends Are Like Flowers

Hi peeps. I just want to pop in quick to share this sweet card I made for Crafter's Companion. Have you heard of Spectrum Noir Sparkle? It's the newest collection from Spectrum Noir. It's an array of shimmer markers that add shimmer & sparkle to your image.

Well, for my card today, I decided to give the market set a twirl and use them to color the flower bouquet.

It's been cloudy for a few days on my neck of the wood, so I couldn't get very good lighting where I could catch the shimmer. But, in person, the flower bouquet shimmer so prettily. I especially love the clear sparkle as you could layer it with any colors and it simply added some sparkle to your card.

I definitely will play more with the shimmer markers. Goodness, is it just me, but I feel weird to do a non Christmas cards at the moment. :)
