Believe In Your Dreams

A quick post to share a cards that I made using Market Street Stamps Dreamcatcher set for their October block party. I got this set because I am in love with the feathers. And I chose to do CAS card as you know me, I love to make my favorite stamps shine.

I read it somewhere a while back that saying your dreams are yours. You don't have to explain it to anybody. It's yours to aim for, to reach. :)

TGIF! :) Are you ready for the weekend? I sure do. I want to do some major cleaning & organizing of my room as right now my desk looks like a ship wreck. Sigh... I am  trying to be better at using my scraps and all, but if I don't see it I forget. So, I've been leaving them on the desk as a reminder, but the pile getting dangerously high. 

As much as I want to be the super organized crafter, I am not that kind of crafter. No matter how many time I organized everything, my room will never look like the ones you see in the magazine. Anyway, am planning to do some cleaning and I don't know about you, this is actually exciting for me. There's something about sorting things out and finally able to see your desk. :)

Well, last night despite the mess on my desk, I made this card for Market Street Stamps Paint The Town color challenge. I didn't have the  best lighting as it was late night when I did this card, but the brown part of the woodgrain really is not that dark.

I believe in giving honest review and I don't get paid to say this, but when it comes to customer service, many companies could learn from Market Street Stamps. Last year, when one of my stamp broke in two, I emailed Angelica and no question ask, she sent me a replacement immediately. And, yes that's another thing that I love. I order stamps from them and I receive them 2-3 days later.

Love the quality of their stamp, too. It was one of the rare moment, where I stamped something and feel, wow, this is so cool. Their rubber has kind of a bounce feeling to it (I don't know how to explain it, bounce came to mind) and it stamps very clean and clear. I just remember feeling very impressed.

Again, I am not trying to sell their stuff. Just want to share my review. One of my friend pointed out that I like to try stamps from many different company, so I thought hey, why not share my opinion about them.

Eli

Well, how fun, it's Wednesday already. Love short work week.  :) Time seems to fly by faster.

Yesterday, hubby and I took Eli to the dog park and he had his first experience of being completely submerge in the pool. It was by accident of course. He was chased by the other puppy and by the time he flop down, he was totally in the pool. I wish I had remember to take picture, because his face was just so comical. It was like, what the heck just happened here? And, being surrounded by 3 bigger dogs, not much time to think of the wetness.

Then, he started walking around the edge of the pool and I guess he din't know what's the splash all about as he was busy trying to catch the splash he made. He kept trying to bite at the splash. At first, I thought he was trying to chase a dragonfly that I saw flying around the pool, but nope... chasing splash was more interesting for him. He cracks me up! :D

That's what I love about Eli, how he could find things to entertain himself. Needless to say, he slept on the way home. Sorry, babbling on about Eli here. :)

I do have a card to share. This time I actually pull out my patterned paper and combine it with some stamping. This beautiful sentiment is from Market Street Stamp. I'm entering this for Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge.

Yep, slowly vintage looking project starts to grow on me. I only like it in small dosage, though. Heh... Have a great day everyone. :)

Just Because

Yesterday, I came home to a nice little surprise from my family. My brother's girlfriend had a show to perform in Washington, DC last week, so she and my brother were here in the States all the way from Jakarta. I was sad that I couldn't meet up with them. It was last minute trip and we didn't get a chance to plan anything. But, to my surprise, my family knew how much I want to see them and to cheer me up and as a surprise belated birthday present, they sent me some goodies!!

Usually, with Indonesia mailing system, we just don't mailing things except letters or cards, cause the chance of you not getting your package is pretty big and the cost! But, since they're here, they just mailed the package from Washington and lucky me... get to be the surprise recipient of a neat package. Thank you Mom, Jeff, Gina, Jerry, & Dena for the presents. Me likey very much! :)

Another exciting thing, a week from now I'll be in Chicago to attend CHA!! This will be my first time attending the trade show (last year I went to CHA Super Show) and I can't wait to seeing some blogging friends that I met last year and meeting new blogging friends. If you're going, let me know, I would love to meet up.

Today, I have another CAS card to share with you. This time I am using Market Street Stamps. If you never heard of them before, check them out. They have wonderful quality stamps and superb customer service. I am making this card for their Color Cue Challenge # 4.

Snails & Smiles

Today I feel kind of okay and trying my hardest to get back to normal. I went back to work yesterday and just throw myself to work. Not easy, I am telling ya. I'll be in the middle of typing something and holly molly I just burst into tears. What helps is every time I did that, part of my brain start saying, you know Ling, dad probably watching from above and he probably rolled his eyes and said again??! :) And he'll say something silly to make me stop crying. As I think of what he might say that makes me smile. I really think laughter or humor is important to maintain even when you go through tough times. I think it's going to be like this for a while.

So, to cheer myself and to distract myself, at night when it's calm and quiet, I just put all my focus and energy into card making. I recently found Market Street Stamps and won this Slow Movin' set from their February release. I love snail images, so of course, I was excited when I won this. 

And, when I get inky and play with it... oh my... LOVE....! It stamps smoothly and the quality of the rubber is so awesome. Seriously, my heart leap a bit when I stamped and saw the result. After just trying this one set, I am a fan of Market Street Stamps. What I love even more, this snail made me smile. It's just so sweet.

I decided to make the snail movable. And here's the result.

I love this snail so much, that I inky another one and play with glimmer mist as well (my first time and I love it!). Yesterday, I found out that Latrice, whom I met at CHA last year is collecting card for one of her co-worker who's son has leukimia. You can find details about Gavin HERE. I am sending this card to Gavin and hopefully this will make him smile.

As these cards brings smile to me, I know with time, slowly the healing process will continue and things will get better. Like my dad used to say, "Everything will be okay." :) As always... take the time to tell your love ones you love them! Have a blessed day.
