Witchy House

Hi'ya folks. Today I am sharing my spooky witch house that was published on Paper Crafts September October digital edition.

I tend to stick to cards, but during that submission time, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and actually make a 3D kind of project and the result is this witch house.

The house is courtesy of Mister Q, of course. Oh yes... I do love my Mister Q. ;)

Those tiny characters are from PSA Essentials Halloween set colored with Copic markers. They're are just the perfect size for this house. To make the witch into a sitting position, I scored a couple lines on the witch, fold it and then adhere it to the roof. She is ready to party!! Count Dracula and a happy ghost are ready to welcome guest along with the smiley skeleton.

I know, the house is not super spooky. What can I say, I do not like anything that looks scary. I am a cutesy lover. So, my witch house is cute with a hint of spookiness. LOL, is there even a hint?

For extra fun, I am entering this project for Designed To Color "Horribly Haunting" week. Hope you like my non-card project. Are you dressing up this Halloween? Please share what you're dressing up as. :)

Happy 4th

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July celebration! I spent my day fighting allergy & runny nose. Well, actually I wasn't sure whether it's allergy or the beginning of a cold since hubby just got one earlier in the week.

Let just said I struggled all day long to keep my eyes open and I look like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. Hubby practically had to drag me to watch the firework show because I was sooo not feeling like stepping out of the house. But, since literally we only have to walk for 5 minutes to get to the best spot, I ended up agreeing to go. And, I am glad I did, because our town do give an amazing firework display.

Anyway, just want to share a quick card I made for PSA Essentials that was shared on PSA Stamp Camp yesterday.

Have a blessed day everyone!

Catching Up

I had a few projects that were posted on other blogs as part of my DT requirement, but I haven't share them here. So, I figure today I can share those projects here before I forget. :)

First up, is a goody box I made for SP & Company. It was posted on their site HERE last week. Haven't quite decide what I'll use this for. But, it's always useful to have a goody box handy for when I need it.

Then, I have this Hello Kitty card that was shown on PSA Essentials blog post HERE.

This spring break card was shared a while back also on PSA Essentials HERE.

Today, I am taking Eli back to the vet for a follow up check up after his snip-snip. His stitches seems to heal okay, but there's one part where we just don't feel comfortable about and just want to make sure it was okay. So, back to the vet we go.

Currently, I am working on tons of stuff. Magazine submissions (got a happy email last week. So far I have 1 project accepted for Paper Crafts Holiday Card Volume 7, hoping to get more as they should be sending more happy email this week) and working on lots of behind the scene projects for Some Odd Girl for their first catalog and CHA booth.

All I can say is Kristy has designed some of the cutest stamp that I was delighted to get my hands on. When it arrived here yesterday afternoon, I immediately start playing with it (and I mean it literally). The only down fall is I cannot share any of them yet. Trust me, I want to share them so badly. Especially since one of the set involve something that I hold dearly. Hint.. hint... cough... Eli...hmm.... :)

Time to go. Enjoy your Tuesday.

PSA Essentials & Basic Grey Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to PSA Essentials & Basic Grey blog hop. If you arrived here from Megan Klauer, you are on the right track. In case you missed any of the link, you can always go to PSA Essentials blog for a complete list of the participants.

For my card, I am using this beautiful grayish patterned paper from Basic Grey Boxer collection. The red dots on this paper, makes it perfect to use with any of the image from PSA Essentials Rosettas set.

I simply use the red dots on this paper as my placement guide to stamp the image. I then colored the image with markers, cut the paper into 3 strips before adhering them to the card. The silk ribbon is from May Arts. It's my favorite ribbon to use to do double bows as they're thin and not bulky at all.

Now, a blog hop wouldn't be complete without a giveaway, right. There's several way for you to enter (see below) and here's what you can win:
2 Peel & Stick stamp sets & 1 PSA Stamper (MSRP $55)
1 Basic Grey Plumeria & 1 Konnichiwa paper pack (MSRP $50)

Great prizes, right? I've been eyeing the Basic Grey Konnichiwa paper pack. Saw them at CHA and I LOVE them.

From here, please hop on over to your next stop... Jamie Cripps. Hope you enjoy the hop and thank you so much for stopping by here.

If you arrive here from your regular visit to my blog and would like to join the hop (which include an awesome giveaway, see the end of the post), please start at Touch Twin blog.

For this hop, we get to try the touch Twin Markers by Shinhan Art, which I also had the pleasure to try when I was at the CHA. They're pretty awesome and in my opinion just as good as Copic. And price wise, they're definitely cheaper and they're also refillable.

Challenges:
Allsorts - Three in a row
Crazy for Challenges - Use some green

For my card, I used this fancy rosette from PSA Essentials Rosettas set. I lightly draw a grid and then stamped the image 9 times. To finish the look, I added this gorgeous green silk ribbon from May Arts.

If you're interested to purchase any PSA Essentials products, we currently have an exclusive discount for blog hoppers at Cyber Savvy Shop. Receive 30% of all Peel & Stick packs and custom stamp is only $26.50 (regularly $40). Shipping is just $6 for orders over $50 and free for orders over $100.

California Vacation Pics

Yay... it's Friday!! And last night... my favorite show is back on. Yep, I am talking about Grey's Anatomy. I love that show even though it makes me cry when I watch it. And my fox card was featured on CREATE blog HERE. Double yay... Anyway, I have a long post today as I am sharing some vacation pics.

For those who might not care about pics, etc., let me share this card first. I am not going to make you look through all the pics, unless you want to.:) I made this one last month for PSA Essentials. They actually featured this card on PSA Stamp Camp earlier this month HERE.

Now, let's talk about vacation. This vacation was much needed for hubby and I. Since I got laid off in April and unsure situation at hubby's work, we were quite stress out & unsure if it wise for hubby to take time off. However, things start to look up and at one point we decide, life is all about balance. We cannot just let work rules our life.

We started our vacation in San Franciso (where I had one of the best seafood ever at Tadich Grill, the oldest restaurant in SF) for a couple days, then spent a day with hubby's uncle who lives near by.

We love doing the hop on hop off whenever we're at a new place. Just because they took you to all the major point. We went to Pier 39 and we had lots of fun watching the sea lions. You could hear them the moment we step off the bus. I could watch them all day long, but couldn't quite stand the smell. LOL. Smells like rotten fish if you stand too close. Hah!

Sea lions snoozing at Pier 39.
Our hop on hop off your also include a day trip to Golden Gate bridge & Sausalito and we passed the famous Painted Ladies (the 7 beautiful Victorian houses) that reminded me of Full House. Love that show back in the days. :)

Gorgeous view of The Painted Ladies.
The Golden Gate Bridge.

It was foggy during our stay in SF with maybe an hour here and there where it's actually clear sky. From SF we drove down to Monterey. I just love this place. Plenty of beach to check out. And while walking on the beach there we saw lots of squirrels playing on the rock. Now, having grown up with 2 squirrels in the house, I love watching them and yes, I took quite a few pics of them. I think they are adorable creatures.

Greetings to you! :)

On our way down, we passed this light house and I love light house, so of course we had to check it out. Love, love, love the view! Actually next to the light house is a small inn where you could stay. It looks a bit outdated from the outside, but hey you have gorgeous view right out the door.

Pigeon Point Light Station.
We stayed in Monterey for a couple days and of course, even though hubby and I said we're not going to visit another aquarium, we ended up visiting Monterey Aquarium. LOL, last year on our Seattle, Vancouver trip we visited each city aquarium. What can I say, I was born under Cancer zodiac, we're water babies. :)

From Monterey, we head down to Santa Barbara and drove down Pacific 1 through Big Sur. Oh my gosh, the view is unbelievable. I think at one point I got teary eyes just because it's that gorgeous and I was so grateful that I could see & enjoy it. Here's a pic of me jumping up with joy. I was actually jumping up pretty high in the air, but hubby took the pic from up the hill and the bushes covered my legs. So, no it's not me with my hands up because I got arrested, LOL. Come on the huge smile on my face say it all. :)

Garrapata State Park.
From Monterey to Solvang, our next stop before Santa Barbara is really not that far, but it took us the whole day just because we kept stopping by on the side of the road so many times. Easily we stopped 30-40 times. This pic below show the kind of view that we got to see along the way.
Big Sur.

Remember when I said I ended up with a pretty long grateful list? Here's some:
1. When I saw the view, my heart just swell. The ocean view is one of my all time favorite view. At this moment, I was so grateful that I have a pair of healthy eyes that allow me to see this amazing scene.
2. Grateful for my mind & soul healthy "sights" that allow me to appreciate this view. Not taking it for granted for even a second.
3. Thankful that we're able to take the vacation. Just the fact we can take this trip is a blessing. So many others have to wonder where their next meals coming from.
4. Thankful that I have hubby to share the vacation with.
5. Thankful that God spoil us His creations by creating amazing scene like this for us to enjoy.

Big Sur.

I could go on and on. Hubby and I do acknowledge our blessings. Did you ever get that email that say if you could read, you are blessed than about half the earth population who couldn't, if you have a matching set of plate, you are blessed compare to the millions of people who don't even have food to fill a plate, etc. That's how we often remind ourselves to be thankful.

Like my mom always said don't be jealous of things you don't have. Look down and you'll see how blessed you are compare to so many others. Okay, I don't get to travel abroad as I want to, but many couldn't even afford vacation even inside the States. And, if I had just focus on travelling abroad, I'd have missed this view. Always, always be grateful for what you do have.

I feel like I want to drink the scene, if that makes any sense. I just want to stare at the view and record it permanently in my head. Probably the only thing that could top the whole experience would be to have my mom and my siblings to enjoy it with me. I just know they would LOVE this view. And when we all get together there's always lots of laughter and with a brother who's a superb photographer, I'd have tons of super cool pics. :)

Big Sur.

Only spent one day in Santa Barbara, but boy... the sunset view resulted in one of my favorite pic from the trip. The coconut tree, the sky color. This pic totally untouched. I only add my watermark. Gorgeous colors isn't it?

Hmm... I have maybe about 20 favorite pics from the whole trip. Between hubby and I we took almost 1000 pics. Deleted maybe 300 pics? Many of the ocean view are only slightly different, but I want to keep it, just because even looking at it, soothe my mind.

Sunset in Santa Barbara.

You're still here. Reading all the way down? Yay... you're my favorite person then. LOL. Hope you enjoy the post and I still have a few more pics to share later on. Have to share pics of all the creatures we saw on our trip. My favorite otters. I purchased a T-shirt that say "Hairy Otter" instead of Harry Potter and it has pic of an otter with Harry Potter glasses. Pic coming soon. :)

To my family in Indonesia (blog is such a great way for them to keep up with what's going on in my world) hope you enjoy the pics as well. Have a great Friday everyone and may your day be filled with many blessings!

Grateful Heart

This week started off in such an awesome way for me. Late Monday afternoon UPS knocked on the door and delivered a box full of fabulous stamps from PSA Essentials. Hmm... like 85 stamp sets and plenty of ink pads. I mean, talk about being overwhelmed. This is my DT package.

Then, I received an email from the Jennifer McGuire regarding my recent Hero Arts card that was published on Create Stamping. I basically get several stamps from my wish list being taken off the list, thanks to Hero Arts publication incentive program. I thought I'll get one free set and I am already happy about that. But several?? Oh gosh, I was busting the dance move in front of hubby after I ran up the stairs yelling to let him know. ;) LOL... Hubby call it happy stamp dance.

I organized all the stamps right away and only took out the ones that I need to use for my DT assignment, so I wouldn't feel overwhelm. Then, I received beautiful images from A Day For Daisies for my DT works. All in one afternoon. And, suddenly I just felt like crying. I mean, literally my heart feels like it could burst and I was filled with so much gratefulness.

It was such a strong feeling. Truly, card making has brought me so much joy this past year. I meet some fabulous, kind, & sweet new friends, I get to work with generous companies, I get do what I love, and I get to work with beautiful images all the time. How can I not but take a moment and say a prayer of thanks for all these blessings.

Then there is you, who chose to follow my blog. When I lost my foster dad in March, you all keep me in your prayers, when I lost my job in April you send me encouragement notes, when I received great news about DT, you celebrated with me. So thankful for all of these.

For this reason, I feel the need to express the gratefulness that I feel in my heart. I know, many of these things are just small things. But they are small things that fill me with so much gratitude. It's an amazing feeling and I thank you all for being part of it all. And, special thanks to my mom, hubby, and brothers who always cheering me on. Who always believe in me. Oh goodness... I am all sappy again.

Simply said grateful heart = joyful heart. You're still with me... reading this long post? Thank you. :) How about a card to end this long post? I wish you all many happy wishes.

May your days be filled with many things that fill your heart with gratefulness. Hugs.

My BIG Announcement

Yay... finally I can spill the beans! Today is a big day for me. Peeps... I am joining my very first big stamp company... PSA Essentials!!! I am so thrilled to be working for them.

I mean, they have some very talented and well known ladies in their team and I am so honored that Libby picked me. Of all the new girls, I am the only card maker she picked. Eekkk... Excited & nervous!! She already have some super talented card makers on the team, so I am very grateful that she wants me to join. You can check out the official announcement on PSA Essential blog.

Here's a peek at some of my favorite stamps from PSA Essentials shop. I cannot wait to play with these stamps!!

How cute is this? Kind of reminds me of Tim Burton's animation Corpse Bride
or The Nightmare Before Christmas. I think they're different & unique.
The set on the right had me at the bulldog! it reminds me of my pug, Ollie.

My brother's girlfriend is a Hello Kitty fanatic, so I know I'll be making
her a bunch of Hello Kitty cards.

How cute & sweet is that kissing couple?
These are just a few. They have a lot more on the store. Now, you see why I am like a kid waiting for Christmas?? I'll be receiving PSA Essentials complete line!!!! I am still pinching myself. :) Super duper excited with this opportunity. Super duper nervous as well. Hope I can really bring it on and meet their expectation. Finger crossed.

And thank you so much to everyone who always cheering me on and supporting me. Your encouragement means so much to me.

And, to celebrate, how about a small giveaway?
