Paper Made Bakery Farewell

Today I am posting my last post for Paper Made Bakery. It's been a fun 6 months designing and working for them. Shannon is so sweet and easy to work with. Thank you Shannon for the opportunity. Please check out my post HERE as I am sharing some of my favorite PMB project.

One of them is this layout that I made of my baby boy of course. :)

That wrinkly face, that tongue and that cute expression... gahh... who could resist it? Of course, I am bias since I am his human. ;)

Spread Happiness

Hi peeps. How's your weekend going? Mine is filled with movie (we rented Jack the Giant Slayer, which was kind of okay, nothing special), trips to check out the new Costco in my town and laundry!! Hah... I actually am super excited to do laundry this time because hubby got me a new steamer. I love it! So much better than ironing. Glad that I get to apply the lesson I learned from working at clothing store, which is how to steam clothes efficiently without burning your fingers. :)

And I am squeezing in a card to play along with Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger A Painterly Palette challenge. Here's the inspiration pic:

As you can see I am still into ikat pattern. Last time I play with the ikat pattern here I was using muted color palette. This time I go with happy color palette inspired by the cheerful color from the pic.

To create the colorful pattern I simply use my ZIG markers to color the image and then I huff on the stamp to moisten the ink before I stamped the image. This card come together pretty quick which I love, since lately I've been trying to balance my time between work, crafting & actually have down time to relax. :)

Now, I am off to relax and catching up on my piles of magazine. Good nite.....

You Are Amazing

** For There She Goes Stamps Blog Hop please scroll down. **

Hi peeps. This is my second post for today.  I was browsing for some inspiration and saw Avery Elle July's challenge. Just the inspiration that I needed. :) Here's the inspiration pic:

Inspired by the feather pattern I created the background pattern on my card using Avery Elle Ikat Addition set. I love the ikat trend. So proud to see this traditional Indonesian fabric pattern everywhere nowadays.

The ikat pattern is so much fun to play with. I simply love the various possibilities of patterns that you can created by mix and match the single image. To create the modern feeling, I position the sentiment right in the middle. The sentiment was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad. You can get the stamp set and the ink pad at i {heart} papers.

Fun pattern, right? And simply by changing the color combination, you can end up with totally different look. Give ikat pattern a try and I am sure you'll be hooked. :)

Thank you so much for stopping by here and happy Thursday (which one of my favorite day of week)!!

Happy Octee

Hi folks, how's your weekend? I hope you had a good one. Saturday night I was down with an allergy and after hubby gave me Benadryl, I pretty much went to la la land by 9pm. Lame, right? LOL, I was an optimist and told hubby oh, I just need 15 minutes nap and I'll be good. Yeah, right.... an hour later I couldn't keep my eyes open for more than 5 minutes.

Then Sunday is cleaning day and took the doggies to get their nails trimmed. I feel bad for the groomer as both Abby and Eli do not like getting their nail trimmed. I can give them a bath with no problem, but nail trimming... they bucked like crazy!!

Anyway, nuff' about the everyday stuff. Let's get on to card. I made this card last week for Some Odd Girl, but haven't share it here, so I thought I let this smiley Octee pop up in here to say hello. :)

Seeing the big smile on my pinky Octee makes me smile. I loveeee cutesy stuff.  Well, that's it from me today Please come back tomorrow as we're starting There She Goes Stamp release week!

PS: I also been cleaning up my craft room & need to do some purging. I have some stuff for sale HERE.

Birthday Bot

This week There She Goes Stamps is highlighting previously released "Bots" sets, which include Birthday Bot, Friendbot, and Nursebot.

Since I rarely have any boy's birthday card, I decided to use Birthday Bot so I can have boy's birthday card handy when needed.

Well, I really have no idea what else to write. It's been one of those week, that just work, work, work and I am sure that's something you guys doesn't want to hear about. So, keeping it short. Okay make it super short.  Here's to happy Friday!

And, oh yes, you can check out  my the Trendsetters has created to highlight the Bots series at TSG Blog. :)

Hey There Sweetie

Works been so stressful lately, that I was struggling a bit to create this week. But last night I basically forced myself to sit on my desk and just play. Sure enough, once I start playing with the stamps, I can feel some of my frustration and stress melt away.

I love Wplus9 Monday Mood Board challenge and use that as the inspiration to create this card for my i {heart} papers post.

Yes, I am still so in love with this set, which I am sure by now you know that the gorgeous flowers come from Wplus9 Fresh Floral Cuts with the matching Fresh Floral Die

I almost went with a white card base, but ended up stepping out of my comfort zone and used  my purple cardstock. I find purple a hard color to work with, what about you? Do you love working with purple or no? Or is there any particular color that you find challenging to work with? Please share your thought.

Thank you so much for stopping by here and I hope your Thursday is a wonderful one. Cheers.....

Kate's Surprise Birthday Blog Hop

Today, we're throwing Kate from i {heart} paper a surprise birthday blog hop party! To Kate, I hope you enjoy your surprise, have a wonderful birthday and I wish you all kind of happy things. :)

Now, knowing Kate's love for dogs, of course I have to go with doggy theme. I had this idea of the doggy being naughty (or maybe in the dog's mind he's being helpful) and pulling the birthday banner.  I am also entering this card to Moxie Fab Birthday Card Challenge for Birthday Creation Week.

This cute doggy is from Lawn Fawn Critters At The Park set and the alphabets are from Paper Smooches Alphadot set and the word happy is from Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler set.

To this day, this banner still one of my favorite banner to use to make birthday banner. :)

There's quite a few blog to check out, so I am keeping  my post short and sweet. Again, Kate enjoy your birthday!

Also, I want to mention that there's pre-CHA sale going on right now at I {heart} papers. Great time to stock up. :)

Foxy Birthday

Have you check out the latest Paper Crafts special edition called Birthday Creations?  I am very lucky that I have 3 cards published on this edition and today I want to share my favorite card that I made for this edition.

I had so much fun making this card. Love the heart shaped hot air balloon. The fox is from Paper Smooches Smoocheroos set (available at i {heart} papers ) and I made the heart balloon card using Silhouette. The fun tiny banner is from SP and Company.

Definitely my kind of card, cute mix with cheerful colors. I am saving this card for my niece. Today she turns 7 months old and fingers cross if everything goes well, I can hand deliver this card myself when she turns 1.

Speaking about Birthday Creations, yesterday on Paper Crafts Connection I was so thrilled to see Betsy highlighting my card. Apparently her daughter picked my puppy card as her favorite. Yay... :) That truly made my day.

That's it from me today. Work waiting. :) Thank you for stopping by here and hope you have an awesome Thursday!

Dance Like No One Is Watching

Hi peeps, this week Some Odd Girl is releasing a couple sets of new cute files. One of the set is Rectangle Card Backgrounds and the neat thing is you get 3 different background on this set.

Since triangle is such a trend right now, I decided to play with the triangle background and here's the card:

Fun card, right?

Growing up I was very shy and shyness is something that I have to work on even to this day. So, the saying "dance like no one is watching" is a great reminder to me to keep working on overcoming my shyness. ;)

Actually looking at this card, made me think of my CHA trip this past January. A bunch of us were walking around Downtown Disney and there's this live music show going on and my friend Latisha just start dancing and jamming to the song in front of everyone with no care in the world.  I was sooo jealous wishing that I could do that! In my head I could imagine myself doing that, but in real life... nope. If I force myself to do that my face probably be red like lobster. :(

Well, I am getting better. LOL, if you have met the Vera from 10 years ago, you wouldn't have believe I am the same person. So overcoming shyness is a work in progress, and we all can appreciate progress, right? What about you, anything that you still working on about yourself?

Hello Honey

What I love about i {heart} papers is the fact that they carry stamps from  most of my favorite companies, including Paper Smooches. There's just something about Paper Smooches images that capture my heart. Maybe it's the expression on the image or maybe the cute shape of the image. Either way, Paper Smooches is definitely one of my favorite when it comes to cuteness.

So, this time I decided to play with the Honey Bee set. I made the honeycomb background by layering the washi tape (this one is and old one from My Mind's Eye, but there's many other cute ones you can get from the store HERE).

Yellow, black and white makes pretty striking color combo, isn't it? This card makes me smile and I hope it'll bring smile to the recipient as well. :)

There's Always One In The Group

This past weekend was probably one of the longest  long weekend I had in years. At first, I thought I had to work on Friday, but luckily my boss decided to close the office since many bank and title companies close as well. I am sure I will probably pay for it today. ;)

But, I had a good long weekend. I was in such creative mood, I was able to create quite a bit for for publication call. And completed some DT assignment of course. Speaking about assignment, this week There She Goes Stamp has a new animal challenge. Basically create a card with a scene that use animal stamps. Of course, I am reaching to my favorite duckies set.

I had so many people commenting on how  much they love my tie-dye duck, I had to make another one. This tie  I created a parade scene and my odd ducky just have to be different to liven up the party a bit. ;)

I don't know about you, but these duckies make me smile every time.  I hope you will play along with us. You can find all the details and enter the challenge HERE.

This weekend another fun thing I did was meeting up with Trinh & new crafty friend, Angi Barrs. Sigh... I really wish they live closer to me. Trinh lives about 3 hours from me and Angi about hour and a half. Anyway, we had lots of fun and I really hope we can get together again, soon! Cross fingers we will be able to do some crafting together. Of course, no get together is legit without a picture. :)

I didn't get the memo to wear teal. :)

Thank you both for making the trip down and thank you for my birthday goodies. I appreciate you both so very much!!

That's it from me today. May your week starts off wonderfully!

Thinking of You Foxy

I can't believe it's already July. Seems like time just flies nowadays. With the new month, it's time for new Some Odd Girl sketch challenge.

And following the sketch, here's my foxy card:

Isn't this foxy a cutie? Many times I find playing with fancy sketch can be challenging, since I rarely do layering. But, I managed to follow the sketch and doing something challenging can be fun! ;) I hope you will play along with us. You can see more inspirations from the Oddies and prize detail HERE.

Also, today is my day at Paper Made Bakery. Here's a sneak peek of my card. You can see the full card HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by here!
