The Ton Winter Die Flash Release

Hi all and welcome to The Ton Winter Flash Die release. Today The Ton is releasing 4 new standalone dies that I think are just perfect to celebrate the cooler weather.

For my card, I am showcasing the Holiday Coffee Dies.

To start, I die cut the background using Grid A2 Coverplate die. Then I die cut all the coffee cup elements. My favorite is the snowflake die & embossed sleeve. It added such fun details. Before putting them together, I ink blended the cup with Soft Garden, Cali Blue, Hollywood Star & Coral Cavern. Adhere the cups to the card base with foam adhesive.

Next, for the sentiment I used Easy Expressions Holiday set and finished the card by adding some Blue Ice Couture sequins mix.

This card actually come together pretty quick and I know my coffee loving friend would love this card. My teammates has created some more fun inspiration for this release. Please check out their blogs for more ideas. Thank you all for stopping by here and my your weekend starts off wonderfully. Cheers...

The Ton October Release

Hi all and welcome  to The Ton holiday release. The Ton is releasing 14 New Standalone Dies and 2 New Stamps and Coordinating Dies. And, I am honestly super excited for this release as so many of the sets allowed me to create clean & simple cards that I just loved.

Let's get on with it right away. For my 1st card, I am showcasing the pretty & fun Holiday Border dies

The cool thing about this die sets, you can re-arrange the borders to your heart desire. You want the snowflakes border on top? Then place that border on top. No likey? Switch it around. In my opinion, tis is just brilliant. It's the simple thing for me. I love having that option.

I started by watercoloring a panel of watercolor cardstock, let dry and then run it through my Gemini. Tips, to keep the border dies from moving, I taped my Gemini plastic, magnet & spacer together to keep them flat and also taped the dies together with washi tape. You could also use blue tape.

Once that done, trim and adhere the panela nd the pieces to card base. Finished by adding some sequins mixes and die cut the word joy using Modern Alphas Updated.

For my next card, I blended Soft GardenBright Fern & Bright Emerald ink on a piece of cardstock and then die cut it with Pine Tree Dies. Instead of just making 1 card, I decided to use each tree separately to make several cards. Hey, any excuse to get the Christmas card stash growing quickly, I'll use it. Hah! :) I sprayed the tree with white ink and also added some dew drops.

To ground my scene, I die cut the scallop frame using Scalloped Nested A2 Dies. Then I simply arrange the tree and the deer. Oh yes, the deer is from Deer Coverplate Die (another favorite from this release!).

Sentiment from an older Holiday Ornaments set. I used the other trees die cut for the card below.

And, last but not least, this card I made using the Holiday Border dies, Deer Coverplate dies & Bold Alphas Lower Dies

Well peeps, I think this is quite a record for me to share this many cards in one day. There are a lot more inspiration from my teammates. Please check out their blogs for more fun inspiration and thank you all so much for stopping by here. Have a blessed week everyone.

Honey Bee Stamps Autumn Afternoon Release Blog Hop

Hi peeps! Welcome to day 1 of Honey Bee Stamps Autumn Afternoon blog hop. I am super excited for this release as here are so many gorgeous and fun sets to share.

One of my favorite from this release is the gorgeous Harvest Bloom designed by my dear friend, Emily Midgett.

Here on my 1st card, I went with bright colors. I stamped and heat embossed the image and then watercolor them. Trim the panel and adhere to card base. For sentiment, I die cut the word hugs from Simple Sentiments Eyelet three times and layered them. Finished by stamping and heat embossing the word Sending You from Kisses set.

I also want to share a couple of the cards for this release that I have shared on Instagram. I've been sharing more cards there then on the blog. You can find me on Instagram HERE.

You can see how much I love the Harvest Blooms since I made a card for the sneak peek and for the hop.

This card below was so much fun to make. I combine 5  sets from this release on this card. I used Slimline Sentiments Blanket dies, Little Red Wagon dies, Nuts About You stamp & dies set, Itty Bitty Leaves dies & Let’s Hang Out stamp & dies set. Yay, me! Hah.... Sorry, I have to pat myself on the back, since it's very rare where I used so many sets in 1 card.

The Ton Slimline Die Release

Hi all and welcome to The Ton Slimline Die release party. The Ton is releasing 14 Slimline Dies and 1 stamp with coordinating die. Seriously, when I received my package it felt like Christmas. So many cool & fund dies!!

When I saw the sneak peek of the dies, this one below, the Slimline Candy Cane Stripe Coverplate Die totally caught my attention & I just had to use it first.

I know right away that I want to pair it with the recently released Poinsettia Wishes and Berry Branches. I stamped the Poinsettia with Soft Garden and Bright Fern. The leaves were stamped with Crystal Pewter & Smoky Quartz. In case you're wondering why they looks greenish gray it's because apparently I didn't clear my stamp good enough & still have a bit of green on it when I stamped the gray inks. I decided to keep them since the color looks unique enough. Hah! Why waste it, right?

Then I decided to soften the overall design by adding the outline Poinsettia & candle from an oldie but goodie set called Fresh Cut Poinsettia. For the berry I stamped the branch with Aspen Cocoa and the berries with Coralline & Lipstick Red

I also used a metallic watercolor to add some shimmer & sparkle to the Poinsettias. I am a bit obsessed in playing with metallic watercolor lately. To finish the card, I used sentiment from Easy Expressions Holiday.

I was so into playing with the dies, that I decided to make another card. This time I used the Slimline Star Coverplate Dies.

I ink blended Soft Garden, Lemon Drop and Azurite for the background and run it through the dies. Next, I used one of the Slimline Nested Pierced Dies to trim the star panel and adhere it to  the card base.

At first I was going to pair it with some flowers, but then I feel the background is busy enough that I should keep the rest simple. So, I decided to play with several of The Ton alphabets set. I used Floral Alphas, Skinny Alphas Coverplate dies & Modern Alphas Coverplate dies. Finished the card by adding some mix dew drops.

I know slim card is trending right now. Are you into slim card, too? I used to make long card every now & then, but usually at smaller size (3.5" x 7"). These cards above are slightly longer. It is fun though trying out different sizes.

Well peeps, that's all from me today. For more inspiration for this release, please check out what the team has created. Thank you so much for stopping by here. Have a wonderful weekend all!!

SugarPea Designs New Release Day

Hi peeps. Happy Friday. I am sooo ready for the weekend. How about you? And, guess what? All the products we've been showcasing for SugarPea Designs are available in store today.

So, what's on your wish list? In case you need more inspiration, we're sharing even more projects today.

I just had to make another card using my favorite seta, SugarCut Open Book & Beautiful Books stamp set. If last time I went all soft, for today I decided to use bolder, brighter colors. I was inspired by my teammates, Tatiana. Her rainbow row of books HERE is simply fun and eye catching.

For my card, I used the rainbow row of books as background for the open pages. For the glass part of the glasses I used vellum and of course, you could always make any card a bit sweeter by adding a cute critter. Here, I added the squirrel from Hey Fall set. This card has 2 things that I love. Books & critters!

On a perfect day, I love sitting outside reading and if I am lucky, I also get to watch the squirrel from our tree zooming on the fence and Abby one of our dog, would run along under. Hah... hubby think the squirrel is teasing Abby on purpose, because often after running on the fence it would jump to the tree and just stare at Abby. A challenge perhaps? Or just curious? Hah!

SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Day 4

Hi all. Happy Thursday and welcome to day 4 of SugarPea Designs sweet peek week. Today's set is all about cozy corner of your house in my opinion.

Introducing Let's Stay Home. I can't help but base my card on my favorite chartreuse wide chair in my living room. It's a pop of color in our neutral color home and definitely my favorite find when we were furnishing the house.

I decided to do a window card using the new Card Front Elements 3. I die cut the windows first. Then stamped, colored and arranged the pieces behind the window. I decided to layered the plants so the front of the card is not too plain. I just make sure they aligned exactly.

I die cut the sentiment from a black cardstock and watercolor it with metallic watercolor that my friend recently got me hooked into. Check out my Instagram (under wirianta) to see the short clip showing the pretty shimmer of the sentiment.

SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Day 3

Hi peeps and welcome to day 3 of SugarPea Designs sweet peek week. For today, we are introducing the gorgeous Autumn Background and Autumn Blessings set.

I started by stamping and white heat embossing the background on a panel. Then I simply blended various distress oxide ink on top of it. Trim the panel and adhere it to the card base. Stamped and gold heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of circle vellum & adhere to card. It's pretty quick card, but I am happy with the way it turned out. :)

SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of SugarPea Designs sweet peek week. Today we have adorable & fun sets that's perfect for fall cards & more. Introducing Hey Fall, SugarCut Birch Forest & SugarCut Card Front Elements 3 (I didn't use this last one on my project today, but check out my card this coming Thursday).

I die cut the scallop panel using Card Front Element Builder. An oldie but goodie that I just love. The die cut Birch Forest from 2 cardstock and 1 patterned paper. I layered them together to create depth. Then, I stamped, color & die cut all the images and arranged them on the card.

I love that I can build all kind of scene with this Hey Fall set. By mixing and match it with other SPD sets, I can totally change the theme of the card. Am looking forward to do so for my future projects. :)

SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Day 1

Hi all and welcome to day 1 of SugarPea Designs sweet peek week. For this release we have quite a few beautiful & fun sets to share. I really hope you love them as much as I do.

For today, we are introducing my favorite set from this release SugarCut Open Book & Beautiful Books stamp set.

The coolest thing about this book die cut set is the layered pages. On my card, I only glued the spine part of the pages, so you can kind of flip or move the pages a bit. Little things that for me make this card fun. And, despite we're  heading to fall, I can't help going with my kind of colors. Spring color. :)

The Ton August 2020 Release Day 2

Hi peeps and welcome to day 2 of The Ton fall release. For this release The Ton introducing 23 new stamps and coordinating dies. All the new products will be available to ship on 8/21 EXCEPT Grouped Grand and Holiday Bows and Modern Christmas Greetings, Winter Foliage and Leaves. These will begin shipping around 8/28.

I definitely feel inspired by this new release. With so much beautiful new sets, I can't help feeling creative. And, since I m recently got into shimmery, metallic watercolor, I added that to all my cards for today.

First up is this Christmas card I made using Poinsettia WishesBerry BitsPine Cones, and Berry Branches.

I stamped all the pieces using The Ton ink pads in Cali Blue, Azurite & Parisian Blue and die cut them using the coordinating dies for each set and then arranged them on the card. For the sentiment I used the word merry from Script Word Dies Bundle. Just like yesterday's card, this card has gorgeous shimmer. Make sure you check out my Instagram (wirianta) to see the card in action.

Now, on to the next card. Yay for getting head starts on my Christmas card stash. For this one, I used Poinsettia WishesBerry Bits, and Easy Expressions Holiday.

For the background, I used one of the layer from Diamond Plaid Layering Coverplate dies that was just released recently. Then I stamped the Poinsettia using The Ton Lofty Mint, Bright Emerald & Hot Tourmaline, leaves (stamped with Soft Garden & Bright Fern) & berry leaves. Die cut with the coordinating Poinsettia Wishes dies & Berry Bits dies. Adhere all to the card and finished by stamping (ink color: Caviar & Bright Fern) & die cutting the sentiment from Easy Expressions Holiday. I added metallic watercolor to the Poinsettia and added glittery enamel drop to the center of the flower.

Finally, my last card. I decided to combine the Berry Bits with Regal Rose set. And sentiment from Wildflower Bits set.

I stamped the rose with Lemon Drop, Beach Blondie & Amber Citrine. The leaves were stamped with Soft Garden & Bright Fern and the berries with Coralline & Coral Cavern. I realized I don't use yellow that often and I have to say, I actually surprise at how much I love the way this card turned out.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy all sneak peek of the new products. Check out what my teammates has created for this release for more inspiration. Thank you all for stopping by here. Happy Thursday!

The Ton August 2020 Release Day 1

Hi all! Welcome to day 1 of The Ton August/Fall release. The Ton have lots of fun & beautiful sets for this release & I am excited to share it. All products will be available to ship on 8/21 EXCEPT Grouped Grand and Holiday Bows and Modern Christmas Greetings, Winter Foliage and Leaves. These will begin shipping around 8/28.

Without further delay, let's get on with the cards, shall we? For my 1st card, I am showcasing the gorgeous Fall Bouquet set.

This set is so beautiful in my opinion, that you can just let it shine without coloring it. I simply stamped it with The Ton Caviar ink. However, I did make the sentiment in color to make it pop. The letters were die cut using Modern Alphas Coverplate dies. Once I adhere them to the card, I added the other sentiment.

On to the next card, where I am showcasing the elegant Regal Rose set.

For the background I used one of the layer from Diamond Plaid Layering Coverplate dies. I didn't remove any of the area. I just glued the whole piece for subtle background. Next, I simply stamped the rose in Vanilla FrostedPeach Blossom & Coralline and die cut it using its matching dies. The sentiment was die cut from Script Word Dies Bundle that was released recently & already available for shipping.

Now, I jinx myself here. I was asking my friend to bring her color shifting watercolor & she warned me that I can't blame her if I ended up getting hooked. I was confidently saying nope, I won't get hooked. Hah... I was totally wrong. I tried it and oh my goodness, my card is shimmering with beauty. Seriously, the picture didn't do it justice. Check out my Instagram (wirianta) so you can see the video as I moved the card around to show the pretty shimmer. The word hugs is a gorgeous green shimmer!!

Last, but not least for today, I made this card using Rose Labels set.

I started by stamping the sentiment in Dark Roast using Fill It In Holiday set as I wanted to make sure I have space for the sentiment, so I did it backward. Usually I do the sentiment last. Then I stamped the roses in Soft Amethyst, Iris Blooms & Violet Fringe & die cut them. For extra pop of colors. I inserted the little flowers from Wildflower Bits that I stamped with Lemon Drop & Amber Citrine.

Well peeps, that's all for me today. Considering that I haven't made too many cards lately, am pretty happy that my mojo is cooperating. Amazing what new stamps can do for the your creative mojo. :) Please check out what my teammate has created for this release. I hope you love this release as much as I do. Thank you for stopping by here and may your day be a good one. Cheers....

Pugs & Kisses

Hi all. Quick post to share this card I made for SugarPea Designs mix it up challenge # 70 for the month of August.

Am pretty stoke that I actually get to follow the color and the layout challenge. Hah.. I tend to just follow one of them. And, what got me even more excited? I get to use my first & only (so far) stamp design, For Pugs Sake.

For the panel, I die cut the scallop using Card Front Element Builder. Then, I die cut a circle and did some ink blending using distress oxide inks. Then stamped, color & die cut the pug. Adhere to panel and stamped the sentiment on a strip of cardstock. This was pretty fast card.

Below is the challenge inspiration pic. Nope, I didn't follow the inspiration pic. Just the color & layout. That's what fun about the challenge. You get to choose! Now, you have till end of the month to play along. To enter and for detail of the challenge please go HERE.

Well peeps, that's it for now. Be back in a few hours with fun post for new releases. :)

Caring Hearts Card Drive & Bring Smiles to Seniors

As many of you know, I started Caring Hearts Card Drive back in 2009 with the goal of sending out holiday card to the elderly that lives in nursing homes to let them know that they still matter & not forgotten.

Throughout the year, the card drives grow so much thanks to the support of generous card makers all over the world. I am proud and grateful that I was able to do it for 10 years in a row.

As usual, around this time of the year, I started getting quite a few emails asking if I am hosting it again this year. This card drive is my labor of love and a cause that's really close to my heart as I dedicated it to my mom. After long thoughts and consideration, I have decided not to host it for this year. I need to take a break as I want to focus on my family time. This is not a decision that I make lightly. I don't want to disappoint the people that expecting our cards every year.

However, I am delighted to share that Ron Tyson from Bring Smiles to Seniors organization have contacted me and offer to take over and continue the effort. And, the good thing about Ron's organization, they have dedicated team of volunteers and they send the cards all throughout the year. Not just on holidays. So, you can send in your thinking of you cards or any extra cards you have to them any time. Yay!!

Please note though, Bring Smiles To Seniors only sending cards to nursing homes in the US only. For those in Canada and Australia who are interested I encourage you to reach out to your local nursing homes & send cards to them directly. It will brighten their day. No need to wait till the holidays.

Here's a little bit about Bring Smiles to Seniors on their own words.

Bring Smiles to Seniors is in its 5th year of sending cards to senior communities all across the country. We work with schools, civic groups, individuals and companies to make and decorate greeting cards. These cards are then sent to nursing homes, assisted & independent living communities, seniors at home and those participating in elderly nutrition programs like Meals on Wheels. This year Bring Smiles to Seniors will be sending to our Caring Heart Senior Communities for us (my genuine thank you to Ron for this offer)

This organization is a 501(c)(3) non profit and sends to senior communities all throughout the year. They have sent over 106,000 cards so far in 2020. With seniors in isolation the need is great. They welcome holiday and every day cards, with messages or without, which can be sent to them at Bring Smiles to Seniors P.O. Box 226 Odessa, FL 33556. You can learn more about them on their website at www.bringsmilestoseniors.com, on their facebook page at www.facebook.com/bringsmilestoseniors or on instagram @bringsmilestoseniors. If you have questions you can email them at info@bringsmilestoseniors.com.

Please feel free to share this info. I am hoping to host the card drive again in 2021. I am not sure. What I am sure is I am grateful for Bring Smiles to Seniors for their commitment & mission. Their offer brings me comfort knowing that the residents of nursing homes will continue to get cards, which I am sure during this current time are needed even more.

Thank you all again for all your support this past 10 years. I hope you will continue sending in your cards by sending them to Bring Smiles to Seniors. Kindness matter and sharing handmade kindness definitely make a difference.

Hi all & welcome to day 2 of Honey Bee Hello Summer release blog hop. For complete list of the hop for day 1 please visit HERE.

Honey Bee is really rocking it with this summer release. And, one of my favorite set to play with from this release is the Birds of Paradise set The birds are fun & cute.

Here for my card, I paired the bird with the Hexagon Thin Frames dies. I die cut the thin frames on a piece of white cardstock and then colored them with Copic markers. Then, I simply having fun with the placement before finally adding the bird and the leaves. Finished by adding sentiment from Tropical Tweets set & Candlelight Confetti Mix.

I got into this design so much that I ended up making another card with same style, just different color & different bird. :)

The Ton Stamp July 2020 Release

Hi all and welcome to The Ton Stamp July 2020 release. We are releasing 9 new dies and they're a available in the store today.

Let's get on with the projects, shall we? For my 1st card, I am using Anemone Spray & the Tall & Skinny Alpha Coverplate.

For this card, I totally go for a clean & modern look. I just love the contrast of the black  outline with the white background and only add soft coloring to the flowers. Seriously you could go as simple or as fancy with this image. It's so pretty on its own. And, the tall & skinny dies definitely help to create the modern design.

For y next cad, I am using the gorgeous Lovely Dahlia Layering dies.

I really, really love The Ton layering dies. I am not saying this because I design for them, but because I really love them. I think Effie is pretty brilliant in her layering design. I die cut each layer from white cardstock and then I did ink blending using Iris BloomsViolet Fringe & Bright Fern.

To finish the card, I used sentiment from Easy Expressions set.

On to my next card, which is using one of my favorite flower, hibiscus. The Lovely Hibiscus Layering dies is simply beautiful and I just love it.

For this one, I did ink blending using Soft Garnet, Coral CavernBright Fern. One of the reason I love using ink blending techniques for layered dies is because you can achieve so may different shade from using 1 color based on how much ink you put and the pressure you used. No need to cut layers from many different colored cardstock. This is just my preference. For the outline & sentiment I used metallic cardstock. Sentiment is from Many Sentiments Coverplate dies.

The team has created some amazing projects for this release. Please check out what the team has created & I hope you love this release as much as we do. Hugs....

Butterfly Hugs

Hi all. I am popping in for a quick post. I know I haven't been posting regularly on my blog as I tend to just post on my Instagram account. But, I've been having so much fun playing with The Ton Monarch Butterfly Layering dies & am very excited with the way this one turned out. So, I just had to share here as well.

For the background, I die cut a couple square from watercolor cardtsock using Double Pierced Square Coverplate Die. Watercolor the pieces, let dry & adhere to the card base. For the butterrfly itself, I die cut the outline on glitter cardstock & adhere to the butterfly base & blend in some colors. Finished by adding a sentiment.

I have a couple more butterfly cards on the works and I'll be sharing those on The Ton blog tomorrow. All I can say, I am a bit obsessed with butterflies right now. :)

That's all for me for now. May your week starts off wonderfully.
