Sending Lots of Love

Recently, I mentioned to some friend, how sometimes card that I love so much, didn't get that much love from everyone else & yet sometime a card that I thought was blah, get lots of love. Truly show how everyone have different taste, right?

But, when you love a creation so much & those that you look up to think the same way, it's like yay, yippie kaiyay! That's the case with my card that I posted yesterday for Simon Says Stamp. I actually almost didn't want to send it to SSS for the FB live, because I spent so much time making that card. At the end, I did mail it out & created another card using similar technique.

I am pretty excited with this card as well. I sure do love the color combination on this one. So glad that I decided to stick it out and keep working on my no  line watercoloring. I wanted to give up when I made the first card (see my post from t he day before HERE) because at the beginning it just didn't look right & I wanted to just toss it. Luckily, some part of me keep pushing not to do so & now I am inspired to practice more on my watercoloring.

Make sure you check  out Simon Says Stamp blog today as today they have fun hop to celebrate their Friendly Frolic release.

And, I am up on The Ton blog today as well, so check it out will you. May your Friday be a great one. Cheers...

Watercolor Sketch Lotus

Hi peeps! I am excited to share today's card as this was among my rare attempt at no line watercoloring. Hah!

I received this gorgeous Simon Says Stamp Sketch Lotus Flowers & let just say I was so happy when I got it as it is right up my alley. This set is part of the new Friendly Frolic release from Simon Says Stamp that's available starting today.

I stamped the flowers repeatedly using distress ink Antique Linen and then watercolor it. I kind of dig the hard transition between the colors, so on purpose I decided  not to dilute them more to soften the line. Maybe that's not the right way, but hey, that's the fun part of creating, right? Just play & have fun.

Am also entering this card to Simon Says Stamp July Work It Wednesday which is all about watercolor and to SSS Wednesday Anything Goes challenge. I have another card made using this set, which I will share tomorrow. So, stay tune... Cheers....

Birthday Otrichs

Hi peeps. How's it  going? This weekend, I immerse myself in some crafting time. Often, this hobby, card making, helps me to deal with things. It allows me to just let my  mind wander & become a therapy for me. :)

I work on some design team assignment, but I also make card just for fun. It's been a while where I see a set & immediately think I have to have this set. Well, it happened with this Wplus9 Oh My Gostrich! set. I saw it & it was love at first sight. I just thought the ostrichs look soooo cute! Can't resist them.

For this card, I combined it with Honey Bee Hello Gorgeous set. I love the way the flower wreath frame the banner & the ostrichs.

Seriously, this is the cutest ostrich set ever! As animal lover, I sure love cute animal sets.

Well, that's all for me today.

Oh yes, I can't go without announcing the winner from Get Cracking on Christmas hop. Congratulations, Sue D, you're the lucky winner for the Pinkfresh Studio Joy & Cheer stamp & dies set. Please email me with your mailing information.

May your week starts off wonderfully. Cheers....

Get Cracking on Christmas Challenge Hop

Every year, come Chrismas time I always scramble to make Christmas cards. I mean, I always have the good intention on getting ready early, but in reality that very rarely happen.

And, yep, I have quite a few cute holiday sets that I haven’t even had a chance to play with yet.

So, Jenn Shurkus was mentioning about this challenge she does with our crafty friends Chari and Cheiron. Basically they challenge each other to create at least one-holiday card a month. Well, ofr this month, she sent open invitation for us to join this hop. Since I need to do this to build up my Christmas card stash, of course I jump in at the chance.

You should arrive here from my dear friend, the super talented, Emily Midgett. In case you miss any stop, I have complete link of the hop participants at the end of the post.

So, for my card, I played with Pinkfresh Studio Happy Holidays set. I think this is a great set to use for mass produce as there's not way too many area to color.

To add some festive feeling to the card, I trace the Happy Holidays part with Copic Spica glitter pen. Below is pic of the card from different angle and you could see the shimmer on the sentiment and the trees.

GIVEAWAY
Now, how about a giveaway to make the hop more fun. Along the way, some of the hop participants will do giveaway. You will need to check each blog. For my blog, I am giving away this Pinkfresh Studio Joy & Cheer stamp & dies set.

SugarPea Designs Sweet 2 Repeat Blog Hop

Hi peeps! Happy Friday and welcome to SugarPea Designs Sweet2Repeat Blog Hop! I hope by now many of you have our cute Summer Release in your hot little hands. The SugarPea design team has created fabulous projects to inspire you with even MORE creative possibilities featuring our newest and hottest products!

Let's get on with it, shall we? For this hop, I played with Geo Floral CoverPlate SugarCut and made a couple colorful cards.

One card has cool tone and one has warm tone. To start I used various distress & distress oxide inks to color the panels. Once that done, ran the panel & the coverplate through the dies machine & adhere the panels to the card base.

Because of the pattern and the colors, I feel like I don't need to add anything else. I am a CAS girl at heart, so I like to keep things minimal. Just add sentiment. The sentiment is from the Spring release Topiary Garden set. I just love the font combo on these sentiments.

I framed the sentiment so it doesn't just disappear on the card. Again, I simply colored a piece of cardstock in the color that match the background and use that as my frame. I actually almost  tempted to add some liquid enamel to the background, but then I don't want to end up messing the card. Sometime you just have to know when to stop, right? ;)

Now, giveaway time! How would you like to WIN a $20 gift certificate to spend on SugarPea Designs store? Please visit with each of our design team members listed below and leave a comment for your chance to win! The winner will be announced on Friday, July 20th.

Well, that's all from me today peeps. Thank you for stopping by here, enjoy the hop & may your weekend starts off wonderfully. Cheers...

Pinkfresh Studio Lined Floral Hello

Hi peeps. Popping in for a quick post to share this card that I made using Pinkfresh Studio Lined Floral Background stamp.

I actually stamped this panel back in April during a craft retreat and it's been sitting in my need-to-finish pile. And, I finally did it!! Yay...

As you may notice, I haven't blog as regularly. I actually been sharing more on Instagram. If you'd like to follow me on Instagram, you can find me under Wirianta. Just a heads up, I am sharing more than cards there. I don't separate between personal and cards, so you will see my pups & family pic as well. :)

Well, as I said short one. Cheers...
