Tiny Terrarium

This past weekend, I get together with my girls for another crafting weekend. We do our best to do this once a month. Slowly our circle continue to grow as we find more local card makers. I joke that we should totally hosting a Texas Craft Retreat in Houston considering it really not that far from Austin & Dallas.

Not sure yet if it ever come true, though I really love the idea.

Anyway, during the get together I get to stamp & color some stuff. Right now, I am loving Waffle Flower Tiny Terrarium set. I mean, I  LOVE, LOVE this set. Nope, I don't get paid to say this. I just seriously love this set. Maybe because I always love bunny & I also love terrarium?

And, I love that I get to make this card just for fun! No DT assignment, no challenge. Nothing. Creating just for creating sake!

How about you? Do you feel liberated, excited when you get to to create just for fun? I actually made several cards just for fun. I'll be sharing them here soon. BTW, I do post more cards on my Instagram. So, in case you haven't follow me on Instagram, I'd love for you to do so. You can find me HERE.

That's all for today. Happy Monday, y'all!

Sweet Peek Day 4

Hi peeps!! Welcome to day 4 of Sugarpea Designs release week.

I am so excited for today's sneak peek as it is one of my favorite from this release. Introducing Egg Cut Away, Easter Wishes & Easter Word.

How gorgeous is this die cut egg? So pretty, right? I just love it's soft, delicate look.

For my card, I start by inking up the card base with various distress oxide ink. Then, die cut the egg on a piece of cardstock panel and adhere the panel directly on top of the inked card base. Then I die cut the Easter word three times, layer it up and color the top layer with Copic markers to create the soft gradient look.

Adhere the Easter word to the card. Next, I stamp the word blessings on a strip of cardstock. Color it, add to the card & finish by adding some sequins.

Well peeps, you know the drill. As always, there's giveaway with each sneak peek. Simply leave a comment here and on SugarPea Designs blog as well. Winners will be announced on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019 on SugarPea blog. Below is the list of my teammates blog. Check them out & come back tomorrow for  the final sets from this release. Sweet Peek Day 3

We're half way there peeps with the SugarPea Designs release. I'm happy to see that so many of you love the Greatest Hits and Musical cover plate.

Let's continue with the sweet peek, shall we? Today, we're introducing Tutti Fruiti set.

I have to admit that besides people stamp, I find fruit stamps challenging. There's just something about fruit that for me too serious. Hah!! Yes, people I struggle with serious looking stamp.

So, what one do to overcome this challenge? Well, make it less serious! Yep, I decided to make my pears cute by adding smiley face. Luckily, I remember that SugarPea Knit Wit set has this cute face that I can definitely use to make my pears cute. For the girl pear, I simply draw some lashes. Also added some shadows to my pear to make them look more detailed.

For the background I used the Circular stencil and inked it up with various distress oxide ink. This is  a mini card, measured at 3 x 4.5".

How would you like to win this Tutty Fruity set? Simply leave a comment on Sugarpea Designs blog and here as well as my teammates blog to increase your chance. That's all for me today and see you tomorrow as I share more sweetness. Cheers....

Hi peeps, and welcome to Day 2 of SugarPea Designs Spring Product Release! Hope you enjoy our 1st day. SugarPea have 15 NEW products that will be available for purchase starting this Friday, February 15th at 6 PM EST in the SPD Store.

Let's continue with today's sweet peek. Today we're introducing Greatest Hits Stamp & Dies, Musical Coverplate & Concentric Circle stencil.

For my card, I used the first two items (I use the stencil for my card for tomorrow).

This is such a fun card to make. I started by inking the card base with various ink colors. Then I run the Musical coverplate on a panel of cardstock and adhere it to the card base. I just love the way the rainbow background peek through the musical opening.

Stamp the record and the sentiment. Stamp another sentiment on a strip of cardstock, trim & finish by adding the record player hand (hm... is that the right term? At this moment I just couldn't think the proper English word for it) and add some sequins.

Sweet Peek Day 1

Hi peeps! Happy Monday and welcome to SugarPea Designs release week. It's our 1st release in 2019 and we have line up some fab sets for this.

For today we're introducing a couple fun sets, Elephant Parade & Balloon Numbers.

For my card, I started by die-cutting a panel using the scallop frame from previously release Card Front Element Builder. Then I mask the edges and color the background with distress oxide ink. Once that done, I adhere the panel to the card base with foal adhesive.

Next, I work on the elephant & the mice. Color them all with Copic. At first, I was going to do a parade, but then, I thought a trio of mice playing the trapeze would be another fun option. So, that's what I did. :)

And, the HB2U balloon, isn't that just co cute? I love it.

Now, the SugarPea team has created many fun & fabulous project for these sets. Check out what my teammates have created and increase your chance on winning today's giveaway (we're giving away the Elephant Parade set). Thank you so much for stopping by here and tune in tomorrow as we're revealing more fab sets. See you tomorrow!

Many Thanks

Hi peeps. How's it going? First, I want to wish all my family & friends who celebrate it, a very happy & prosperous Lunar New Year. May this year be year filled with many blessings, joyful moment, good luck and good health.

Growing up, Lunar New Year was an important celebration for our family. Looking back, I miss going to the temple in the morning with my whole family to pray for our loved ones who has passed away, followed with visiting family & friends. For us, Lunar New Year is not about party, it's about being together and family time. It's a week long celebration. We end it with midnight prayer where my family, my aunts & uncles family came over and we have a big feast.

I sure miss those good ol' time. Maybe when I was a kid I didn't appreciate it as much, but as adult, I sure do appreciate these traditions so much and miss them.

Well, I sure do feel a bit melancholy about the whole thing. Funny isn't it things that we miss & appreciate as adult compare to when we were kids.

Anyhoo, I want to share this card that I finished last week. I have shared it on my Instagram account, but I haven't share it here on blog land, so I thought I pop in & share it here as well. :)

I love this Picket Fence Studios' Kendall set. I think she's pretty &  unique. And, I had lots of fun coloring her! For the sentiment I used Ellen Hutson's many thanks dies.

Well peeps, that' all from me today. Hope you have a beautiful day. <3
