SugarPea Sweet 2 Repeat Blog Hop

Hi everyone. By now, hopefully you have the new SugarPea goodies on your stash to play with. And, as always, the SugarPea team is ready with a line of inspiration.

For today, I can't help but chose to play with the sweet Strike Up The Band set. A parade of cute critters? Yes, please. :)

Since I want to fit quite a few of the critters on my card, I decided to make a long card. Colored a panel with various distress oxide ink and sprinkle with some water for added intereest. Adhere to the card base. Next, stamped, die cut and colored all the critters and then arrange them on the card. I used foam adhesive for all my critters as I love dimension on my cards.

How cute is that baby elephant? I find him irresistible!! Oh, and the floating hedgehog? Love...

Below is the list of the hop participants. I hope you will join us hopping along and SPD also giving away $20 gc to the shop. Simply leave a comment along the way. Thank you all for stopping by here & wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Next, using the ever versatile Element Card Builder II, I die-cut the tag. Stamp, die cut & add shading to the hat and adhere to the tag with foam adhesive. For the sentiment, I mix & match 3 different sentiments. That's what I love about these sets, that I can make them work together & create the kind of sentiment I want.

Hi peeps, and welcome to Day 4 of our Spring Product Release! We're almost there! For our April release there are 16 NEW products that will be available for purchase starting tomorrow, April 26th at 6 PM EST in the SPD Store.

For today, we're introducing a sweet set that will inspire you to let your creativity sprout, bloom and grow. Introducing this darling springtime stamp set called Sprout Bloom Grow.

I ground my sweet dog that peeking from the flower pot on a tag created by using the Card Front Element Builder II die set. I just love the look of this round top tag. Then, surprise... LOL, yes I am still going strong playing with alcohol pearl ink. I used it to color the tag.

For the background I use the Stacked Honeycomb and arrange them on the background randomly and shaded them with Copic, just so they don't look so plain. I think the addition of some soft colors make a difference, don't you think?

This is such a fun & cute set. I love it and I hope you do, too.

I hope you’ll continue to join us over the next couple days as the SugarPea team share Sweet Peeks for the 16 NEW products that will be available for purchase starting this Friday, April 26th at 6PM EST in the SPD Store.

For today I am showcasing a set that is just a classic, called You're My Type.

I don't know about you, but this set kind of make me want to own an old typewriter. There's just something sentimental and sweet about it. I remember that I used one to type some report back when I was in junior high.

For my card I ground the typewriter on some lines that I created using Card Front Element Builder 2. This is such a versatile dies and you can use the parts individually or together. And... teal typewriter? Heck, yeah.... Hah!! This is the favorite color for most card maker, right? ;)

Now, would you like to win the You're My  Type stamp set? Simply leave a comment below. You have all week to comment! Winners will be announced on SugarPea blog on Sunday, April 28th.

SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Day 1

Hi peeps! Welcome to day 1 of SugarPea Design sweet peek. We have loads of fun & cute sets to introduce on this release. We’re excited to finally able to share it with you all. Please join us over the next 5 days as the SugarPea Designers and I share Sweet Peeks for the 16 NEW products that will be available for purchase starting this Friday, April 26th at 6PM EST in the SPD Store.

Let’s get on with the project, shall we? For today,  I am playing with Hey Honey set (there are also Honeycomb Cover Plate & Stencil along with Stacked Honeycomb dies that complement this set perfectly).

At the moment I am going through alcohol ink phase, so that’s what I did for my background. I just love the glossy look on this background. It’s so shiny! :) Next, I stamped the bear twice, colored & fussy cut them. Granted there’s matching dies for this set but I wanted a cut that’s right on the line. Besides, I find fussy cut relaxing and this was an easy one.

I want to make the m as couple, so on one of the bear I simply added eye lashes. Hah... I love how pretty she looks. Simply adhere them to the card base. I did curl them a bit and added foam adhesive to the middle of the bears so it doesn’t look too flat. Finished by stamping the sentiment using Grateful set from previous release.

Now,  how would you like to win Hey Honey set? Check out SugarPea blog and leave a comment there.

Our team has some amazing and creative inspiration for you using the products featured here today. You can visit each of our designers’ blogs below for details on their projects. And while you’re there be sure to leave a sweet comment for them, giving you an extra entry to win today’s giveaway.

I sure hope you’re as excited as we are over this release. Thank you for stopping by here and may your week starts off wonderfully.  Happy Earth day!

The Ton's Spring 2019 Release Blog Hop

Hi peeps! This weekend we are celebrating The Ton's Spring 2019 Release with 7 new designs! And, there are additional promotions with free gifts. Head over to The Ton's blog for more details.

Without further delay, let's get on with the projects right away, shall we?

Now, this first card using Wildflower Bouquet Builder is my favorite. I really love the way it turned out.

For the rainbow background, I created it using the alcohol pearl on yupo paper. I just love how pretty it look! At first, I was going to leave the flower black and white, but then I couldn't resist to color it. Hah... the power of color. :) For the sentiment, I used my favorite sentiment from previously released Wishful Wildflower

Next, a happy rainbow card using the happy Daisy Field set.

Again, I created the background using alcohol pearl inks and heat embossed with the Daisy Field set on it. For the sentiment, I used the hugs dies from Love & Hugs Word Plates dies set.

And, last but not least we're introducing this gorgeous Fantastic Feathers set.

This set might look complicated, but seriously, it's not. I was happily surprised at how quick I can lay everything together. Literally you could finish stamping the whole peacock in 5 minutes. And, since the feathers already so pretty, I feel like I don't need  much to complete this card. I simply stamp & heat embossed the sentiment. Add some shimmer with shimmer marker and that's it.

So, what do you think of these sets? Gorgeous, right? Now, let's talk about giveaway and free gift with purchase.

Giveaways - Three winners will receive a stamp set of choice from our new Spring 2019 release (excluding Fantastic Feathers). To qualify, please leave a comment on each blog or youtube video. Comment period will close on 4/10 at 6pm EST. Winners will be announced on the The Ton's blog after.

Free Gift with Purchase - Mini Bud 2x3 Stamp
This a free gift with a $50 purchase. Order must include a new Spring 2019 release stamp. The $50 threshold amount is the subtotal amount that is calculated AFTER any discounts have been added to the order but BEFORE shipping and taxes. Promo does not apply to prior purchases. Promo ends on 4/12 at 11:59pm EST.

Simon Says Stamp Full Bloom Release

Hi peeps. I am popping in to share a set of trio that I made for Simon Says Stamp Fresh Bloom release. I get to play with Dog & Cat Dress Up set and as animal lover  this is totally right up my alley. :)

I decided to make a trio of mini cards and am super happy with the way these cards turned out.

For the background I started by blending in some distress oxide ink and then trim and emboss it with We R Memory Keepers embossing folders. I am a bit obsess with this embossing folder at the moment. If you see my cards on Instagram, you see I use them quite a bit lately.

Once the background done, I stamp, color and fussy cut them all and adhere to the panel. Sentiment is from SSS Tiny Words.

Now, this one below somehow make me think of my pug. Although, the tail need to be more curly to be a pug. Hah!

All the sets from this release is now available in store at Simon Says Stamp. I, myself is very curious and excited to see all the sets! Well peeps, that's all from me today. I'll be back on Friday for SugarPea Sweet 2 repeat blog hop. See you then. Cheers... :)

The Ton Washi Tape Release

Hi peeps!! The Ton is celebrating their first washi tape release with two new washi tapes! This is a small release but it's one that's close to Effie's heart because the designs are based off of her actual watercolor work.

I can tell you that I actually gasp when I first got them. They're so pretty with the rose gold foiling on some of the leaves. I am not kidding, I love it so much that I actually made these 2 cards the very same day I received the tapes. Let's just say I've been waiting to share these cards.

For both cards, I used the Pink Peonies washi tape.

For the 1st card, I started by stamping the Mini Heart Cling Background directly on my card base with Versarmark ink as I want to keep the background subtle. Next, I cover a panel of cardstock with Pink Peony washi tape and then die cut it with Monarch Pop Up Butterfly dies.

This dies is meant to create pop up butterflies for the inside of the card, but with a little trimming & adjustment you can easily use it for the front of the card. Basically, this card will need to be mailed in square envelope to keep the wings safe. :) Finished by stamping sentiment from Toned Squares set.

Next one is a simple & quick one. Well, both of them are actually pretty quick cards.

For this one, I adhere the washi tape to a panel of cardstock and trim it out at an angle. Then die cut the sentiment using Love & Hugs Word Plate Dies from white cardstock (3 times) and from foil cardstock. Adhere panel to the card base and layered the words so it pop out a bit. Finished by adding a strip of matching foil.

There are some free gifts with purchase promotions ongoing. Head over to The Ton Stamps' blog for more details.

Also, The Ton is currently have a 30% off non new release stamps and dies sale. The code is "BYEFEB30". You btter take advantage of this sale as they're only last for a limited time.

GIVEAWAYS: Win one of The Ton's new washi tapes! To enter, leave a comment on each blog. Effie will choose three winners and announce the winners on The Ton's blog by March 9. The comment period for this giveaway will close on March 8 at 7pm EST.

Tiny Terrarium

This past weekend, I get together with my girls for another crafting weekend. We do our best to do this once a month. Slowly our circle continue to grow as we find more local card makers. I joke that we should totally hosting a Texas Craft Retreat in Houston considering it really not that far from Austin & Dallas.

Not sure yet if it ever come true, though I really love the idea.

Anyway, during the get together I get to stamp & color some stuff. Right now, I am loving Waffle Flower Tiny Terrarium set. I mean, I  LOVE, LOVE this set. Nope, I don't get paid to say this. I just seriously love this set. Maybe because I always love bunny & I also love terrarium?

And, I love that I get to make this card just for fun! No DT assignment, no challenge. Nothing. Creating just for creating sake!

How about you? Do you feel liberated, excited when you get to to create just for fun? I actually made several cards just for fun. I'll be sharing them here soon. BTW, I do post more cards on my Instagram. So, in case you haven't follow me on Instagram, I'd love for you to do so. You can find me HERE.

Sweet Peek Day 4

Hi peeps!! Welcome to day 4 of Sugarpea Designs release week.

How gorgeous is this die cut egg? So pretty, right? I just love it's soft, delicate look.

For my card, I start by inking up the card base with various distress oxide ink. Then, die cut the egg on a piece of cardstock panel and adhere the panel directly on top of the inked card base. Then I die cut the Easter word three times, layer it up and color the top layer with Copic markers to create the soft gradient look.

Adhere the Easter word to the card. Next, I stamp the word blessings on a strip of cardstock. Color it, add to the card & finish by adding some sequins.

Sweet Peek Day 3

We're half way there peeps with the SugarPea Designs release. I'm happy to see that so many of you love the Greatest Hits and Musical cover plate.

Let's continue with the sweet peek, shall we? Today, we're introducing Tutti Fruiti set.

I have to admit that besides people stamp, I find fruit stamps challenging. There's just something about fruit that for me too serious. Hah!! Yes, people I struggle with serious looking stamp.

So, what one do to overcome this challenge? Well, make it less serious! Yep, I decided to make my pears cute by adding smiley face. Luckily, I remember that SugarPea Knit Wit set has this cute face that I can definitely use to make my pears cute. For the girl pear, I simply draw some lashes. Also added some shadows to my pear to make them look more detailed.

For the background I used the Circular stencil and inked it up with various distress oxide ink. This is  a mini card, measured at 3 x 4.5".

How would you like to win this Tutty Fruity set? Simply leave a comment on Sugarpea Designs blog and here as well as my teammates blog to increase your chance. That's all for me today and see you tomorrow as I share more sweetness. Cheers....

Sweet Peek Day 1

Hi peeps! Happy Monday and welcome to SugarPea Designs release week. It's our 1st release in 2019 and we have line up some fab sets for this.

For today we're introducing a couple fun sets, Elephant Parade & Balloon Numbers.

For my card, I started by die-cutting a panel using the scallop frame from previously release Card Front Element Builder. Then I mask the edges and color the background with distress oxide ink. Once that done, I adhere the panel to the card base with foal adhesive.

Next, I work on the elephant & the mice. Color them all with Copic. At first, I was going to do a parade, but then, I thought a trio of mice playing the trapeze would be another fun option. So, that's what I did. :)

And, the HB2U balloon, isn't that just co cute? I love it.

Now, the SugarPea team has created many fun & fabulous project for these sets.
