Simon Says Stamp Full Bloom Release

Hi peeps. I am popping in to share a set of trio that I made for Simon Says Stamp Fresh Bloom release. I get to play with Dog & Cat Dress Up set and as animal lover  this is totally right up my alley. :)

I decided to make a trio of mini cards and am super happy with the way these cards turned out.

For the background I started by blending in some distress oxide ink and then trim and emboss it with We R Memory Keepers embossing folders. I am a bit obsess with this embossing folder at the moment. If you see my cards on Instagram, you see I use them quite a bit lately.

Once the background done, I stamp, color and fussy cut them all and adhere to the panel. Sentiment is from SSS Tiny Words.

Now, this one below somehow make me think of my pug. Although, the tail need to be more curly to be a pug. Hah!

All the sets from this release is now available in store at Simon Says Stamp. I, myself is very curious and excited to see all the sets! Well peeps, that's all from me today. I'll be back on Friday for SugarPea Sweet 2 repeat blog hop. See you then. Cheers... :)

The Ton Washi Tape Release

Hi peeps!! The Ton is celebrating their first washi tape release with two new washi tapes! This is a small release but it's one that's close to Effie's heart because the designs are based off of her actual watercolor work.

I can tell you that I actually gasp when I first got them. They're so pretty with the rose gold foiling on some of the leaves. I am not kidding, I love it so much that I actually made these 2 cards the very same day I received the tapes. Let's just say I've been waiting to share these cards.

For both cards, I used the Pink Peonies washi tape.

For the 1st card, I started by stamping the Mini Heart Cling Background directly on my card base with Versarmark ink as I want to keep the background subtle. Next, I cover a panel of cardstock with Pink Peony washi tape and then die cut it with Monarch Pop Up Butterfly dies.

This dies is meant to create pop up butterflies for the inside of the card, but with a little trimming & adjustment you can easily use it for the front of the card. Basically, this card will need to be mailed in square envelope to keep the wings safe. :) Finished by stamping sentiment from Toned Squares set.

Next one is a simple & quick one. Well, both of them are actually pretty quick cards.

For this one, I adhere the washi tape to a panel of cardstock and trim it out at an angle. Then die cut the sentiment using Love & Hugs Word Plate Dies from white cardstock (3 times) and from foil cardstock. Adhere panel to the card base and layered the words so it pop out a bit. Finished by adding a strip of matching foil.

There are some free gifts with purchase promotions ongoing. Head over to The Ton Stamps' blog for more details.

Also, The Ton is currently have a 30% off non new release stamps and dies sale. The code is "BYEFEB30". You btter take advantage of this sale as they're only last for a limited time.

GIVEAWAYS: Win one of The Ton's new washi tapes! To enter, leave a comment on each blog. Effie will choose three winners and announce the winners on The Ton's blog by March 9. The comment period for this giveaway will close on March 8 at 7pm EST.

Tiny Terrarium

This past weekend, I get together with my girls for another crafting weekend. We do our best to do this once a month. Slowly our circle continue to grow as we find more local card makers. I joke that we should totally hosting a Texas Craft Retreat in Houston considering it really not that far from Austin & Dallas.

Not sure yet if it ever come true, though I really love the idea.

Anyway, during the get together I get to stamp & color some stuff. Right now, I am loving Waffle Flower Tiny Terrarium set. I mean, I  LOVE, LOVE this set. Nope, I don't get paid to say this. I just seriously love this set. Maybe because I always love bunny & I also love terrarium?

And, I love that I get to make this card just for fun! No DT assignment, no challenge. Nothing. Creating just for creating sake!

How about you? Do you feel liberated, excited when you get to to create just for fun? I actually made several cards just for fun. I'll be sharing them here soon. BTW, I do post more cards on my Instagram. So, in case you haven't follow me on Instagram, I'd love for you to do so. You can find me HERE.

Sweet Peek Day 4

Hi peeps!! Welcome to day 4 of Sugarpea Designs release week.

I am so excited for today's sneak peek as it is one of my favorite from this release. Introducing Egg Cut Away, Easter Wishes & Easter Word.

How gorgeous is this die cut egg? So pretty, right? I just love it's soft, delicate look.

For my card, I start by inking up the card base with various distress oxide ink. Then, die cut the egg on a piece of cardstock panel and adhere the panel directly on top of the inked card base. Then I die cut the Easter word three times, layer it up and color the top layer with Copic markers to create the soft gradient look.

Adhere the Easter word to the card. Next, I stamp the word blessings on a strip of cardstock. Color it, add to the card & finish by adding some sequins.

Sweet Peek Day 3

We're half way there peeps with the SugarPea Designs release. I'm happy to see that so many of you love the Greatest Hits and Musical cover plate.

Let's continue with the sweet peek, shall we? Today, we're introducing Tutti Fruiti set.

I have to admit that besides people stamp, I find fruit stamps challenging. There's just something about fruit that for me too serious. Hah!! Yes, people I struggle with serious looking stamp.

So, what one do to overcome this challenge? Well, make it less serious! Yep, I decided to make my pears cute by adding smiley face. Luckily, I remember that SugarPea Knit Wit set has this cute face that I can definitely use to make my pears cute. For the girl pear, I simply draw some lashes. Also added some shadows to my pear to make them look more detailed.

For the background I used the Circular stencil and inked it up with various distress oxide ink. This is  a mini card, measured at 3 x 4.5".

How would you like to win this Tutty Fruity set? Simply leave a comment on Sugarpea Designs blog and here as well as my teammates blog to increase your chance. That's all for me today and see you tomorrow as I share more sweetness. Cheers....

Let's continue with today's sweet peek. Today we're introducing Greatest Hits Stamp & Dies, Musical Coverplate & Concentric Circle stencil.

For my card, I used the first two items (I use the stencil for my card for tomorrow).

This is such a fun card to make. I started by inking the card base with various ink colors. Then I run the Musical coverplate on a panel of cardstock and adhere it to the card base. I just love the way the rainbow background peek through the musical opening.

Stamp the record and the sentiment. Stamp another sentiment on a strip of cardstock, trim & finish by adding the record player hand (hm... is that the right term? At this moment I just couldn't think the proper English word for it) and add some sequins.

Sweet Peek Day 1

Hi peeps! Happy Monday and welcome to SugarPea Designs release week. It's our 1st release in 2019 and we have line up some fab sets for this.

For today we're introducing a couple fun sets, Elephant Parade & Balloon Numbers.

For my card, I started by die-cutting a panel using the scallop frame from previously release Card Front Element Builder. Then I mask the edges and color the background with distress oxide ink. Once that done, I adhere the panel to the card base with foal adhesive.

Next, I work on the elephant & the mice. Color them all with Copic. At first, I was going to do a parade, but then, I thought a trio of mice playing the trapeze would be another fun option. So, that's what I did. :)

And, the HB2U balloon, isn't that just co cute? I love it.

Now, the SugarPea team has created many fun & fabulous project for these sets. Check out what my teammates have created and increase your chance on winning today's giveaway (we're giving away the Elephant Parade set). Many Thanks

Hi peeps. How's it going? First, I want to wish all my family & friends who celebrate it, a very happy & prosperous Lunar New Year. May this year be year filled with many blessings, joyful moment, good luck and good health.

Growing up, Lunar New Year was an important celebration for our family. Looking back, I miss going to the temple in the morning with my whole family to pray for our loved ones who has passed away, followed with visiting family & friends. For us, Lunar New Year is not about party, it's about being together and family time. It's a week long celebration. We end it with midnight prayer where my family, my aunts & uncles family came over and we have a big feast.

I sure miss those good ol' time. Maybe when I was a kid I didn't appreciate it as much, but as adult, I sure do appreciate these traditions so much and miss them.

Well, I sure do feel a bit melancholy about the whole thing. Funny isn't it things that we miss & appreciate as adult compare to when we were kids.

Anyhoo, I want to share this card that I finished last week. I have shared it on my Instagram account, but I haven't share it here on blog land, so I thought I pop in & share it here as well. :)

I love this Picket Fence Studios' Kendall set. I think she's pretty &  unique. And, I had lots of fun coloring her! For the sentiment I used Ellen Hutson's many thanks dies.

Well peeps, that' all from me today. Hope you have a beautiful day. <3

Honey Bee Brie Mine Hop

Hi peeps and welcome to day 2 of Honey Bee Brie Mine blog hop. In case you missed the first day, check out Honey Bee blog post HERE.

We have loads of amazing inspiration for you showcasing the newest release from Honey Bee, Brie Mine!! This release is full of cuteness & sweetness!!

For my card, I used the adorable Mae The Mouse. Funny story, recently at the office my boss was having a meeting and suddenly he called me and said, "Vera we have visitor." So, I went to look and here's this cute, tiny mouse inside our office by the front door. Being an animal lover, my reaction, along with my assistant was, "Aw, how cute!"

Yeah, not the reaction my boss was hoping for. LOL. I opened the door and the poor guy scramble away, but not before I noticed that his hind leg was injured. So, then we went looking for a box, so we can rescue it, but it already disappear. My boss think I was nut for wanting to rescue it. Me, I think it's normal. What do you think? Hm..., on second  thought don't answer that. ;)

Needless to say, that cute teeny tiny mouse was on my mind quite a bit. Thus, playing with this mouse stamp is fitting. Hah....

I mean, how adorable is Mae? I grounded it with the flower wreath from Hello Gorgeous set (I think this is my most used Honey Bee set) and colored it with Copic.  For the sentiment I used the word me & Valentine from the new Brie Mine set & die cut it with its coordinating dies. Finish by adding some Sugared Peach acrylic heart.

Honey Bee is offering TWO $30 Gift Certificates to the Honey Bee Stamps Store, one from Day One and one from Day Two comments. In order to be entered to win, all you need to do is hop along with us and comment on each blog. Winners will be announced on the Honey Bee Stamps Blog on February 1st.

Hello Beautiful

My goal this year is to give more love to the stamps that I already owned. With design team assignments and all, I find myself often neglected the stamps that I have & love because I often run out of time.

Well, I am trying to fix that. I mean, after all I bought these stamps because I love them, so I shouldn't let it just sit on the drawers, right? :)

Case & point, this Wplus9 Hibiscus Bouquet. I love, love this set, bought it last year and keep thinking I am going to play with it right away. Wrong... It got neglected instead. So, I am correcting this error. Hah...

I stamped and colored it with Copic and then masked the bouquet and color the background with distress oxide. Once that done, I die cut the word Beautiful (from My Favorite Thing), add the hello and some enamel dots.

I love the way this card turned out and happy that I finally use this beautiful set. My goal is at least each month I'll use at  least a couple sets that I haven't use just because. Not because DT assignment or challenge, simply just to create. :)

Well peeps, that's all from me today. I'll be back on Saturday with a fun hop with Honey Bee. See you then...

The Ton 4th Anniversary Release Blog Hop

Hi peeps and welcome to day 1 of The Ton anniversary release blog hop. From January 5 to January 8, 2019 we are celebrating The Ton's 4th anniversary with some fantastic line up.

Effie has introduced 9 new designs for this release. There are some free gifts with purchase promotions ongoing. Head over to The Ton Stamps' blog for more details.

For today's hope, I am playing with my two favorites!!

First up, is this beauty using Smiling Cosmos. Peeps, this set is awesome! So fun to color and I sure love the way my card turned out.

Originally, I was going to use to do the sentiment in the flower color. You know, layer it up and then use the die cut word to create tone on tone sentiment. But, while doing the layer, I really like the way the white sentiment stands out against the colorful background. So, I decided to keep it white and use the die cut letters for a second card.

The sentiment Hope Your Day Is As and As You Are is from previous release Haute Stacks set. I actually got brave enough to cut the sentiment apart, so I can use them to customize my sentiment on this card. And, yay... I am still breathing! LOL, it was a bit nerve wrecking for me to actually cut stamp apart!!

Here's the second card using the colored die cut letters from making the first card. Leave the rest black and white and I think it lends certain elegance. Basically, this card is flip version of the first card. ;)

I simply lined up the letters to the flowers lines. Oh yes, using Misti definitely help in stamping the flowers in same exact position as the first card. So glad, I haven't moved the stamp from my Misti when I switched idea in the middle.

Long, long time ago I sent request to Effie to create bouquet with lantern and as always by the time she came up with the design and created Special Day Lantern set, it makes my jaw dropped.

I stamped and heat embossed the lantern with Rose gold embossing powder. This set can be used for any occasion. From wedding to birthday to sympathy card, the option is plenty!!

GIVEAWAYS: There are also giveaways everyday on these mini hops! Win a stamp of choice from The Ton's new release. To enter, leave a comment on each blog each day. Effie will choose one winner per day (4 winners total) and announce the winners on The Ton's blog by January 12. The comment period for these giveaways will close on January 11 at 7pm EST.

Without further delay, here's a complete list for today's hop. Thank you all so much for stopping by here and I hope you enjoy today's inspiration. Have a blessed weekend everyone!

The Ton Anniversary Release

Hi peeps! I hope your New Year starts off wonderfully. Creativity wise, how about starting it with a new release? The Ton is celebrating 4 years this month and Effie has introduced 9 new designs for this release. There are some free gifts with purchase promotions ongoing. See below.

For my first card, I played with the Gifted set. This set is so fun to layer! And, since there's plenty of space between each present, it's easy to add different color to each present.

I simply stamped each present in different color and for the bows, I used gold ink. Once that done, I adhere the panel to the card base and added a strip of glitter gold paper to ground the stack of present. Finish by stamping the sentiment and add some sequins from Starry Wonderland Couture Mix.

The Gifted 6x8 Set will be the GWP for this release. This set is a free gift with $175 purchase.

This promotion does not apply to prior purchases*. The threshold amount is calculated BEFORE taxes and shipping. Cannot be combined with other specials, promotions or giveaway codes. This promotion will continue until January 8, 2019 at 11:59pm EST or until supplies last. Limit one incentive package per customer. No coupon code needed. All incentive products will automatically be added to qualified orders (they will not show up in your cart but will be added to orders as we pack them).

And, DOUBLE rewards point for purchases made between January 4 and 7th, 2019.

**There must be a new Anniversary 2019 Release product in your order to qualify for our GWP promotion.** These GWP products are available for immediate purchase.

On to my next card. This one I went with softer tone and using the new Today's Cosmos.

If you have followed my blog for a while, you know I love working with flower stamps. This beautiful Today's Cosmos is simply beautiful. I focused on just one of the flower on the set. I started by watercoloring a piece of watercolor panel and once it dry then I stamped the flowers and the leaves. Die-cut it and adhere to the panel with foam adhesive.

For the sentiment I used one of the sentiment from Penned Sentiment set and finished by  adding some mixed size dew drops. I love using dew drops!

Now, giveaway details. After all that's part of the fun for new release party, right?

GIVEAWAYS: Win a stamp of choice from The Ton's new release. To enter, leave a comment on each blog. Effie will announce the winner on The Ton's blog by January 12. The comment period for all giveaways will close on January 11 at 7pm EST.

Check out what the team has created for this release. Please head on over to The Ton Blog for all the release details and for more inspiration. Thank you all so much for stopping by here. Stay tune for the blog hop tomorrow! See you then.....
