Coffee & Corgi

Hi all. I was invited by my dear friend, Shelly Kurth to partner up with her in creating coffee theme card. We agreed to use the same Coffee Break set from Honey Bee Stamps and make a card with coffee & critters. What's better than combining the tow things I love. Hah! Here's a quick look at my card and check out Shelly's card on Coffee Loving Card Makers blog

I want to be able to tuck in gift card on my card as I plan to give this card to my mail lady, so I decided to make an easel card. The pocket inside function to hold the gift card and also to keep the easel part in position.

Well, that' all from me today peeps. Have a blessed day all.

Honey Bee Stamps Autumn Afternoon Release Blog Hop

Hi peeps! Welcome to day 1 of Honey Bee Stamps Autumn Afternoon blog hop. I am super excited for this release as here are so many gorgeous and fun sets to share.

One of my favorite from this release is the gorgeous Harvest Bloom designed by my dear friend, Emily Midgett.

Here on my 1st card, I went with bright colors. I stamped and heat embossed the image and then watercolor them. Trim the panel and adhere to card base. For sentiment, I die cut the word hugs from Simple Sentiments Eyelet three times and layered them. Finished by stamping and heat embossing the word Sending You from Kisses set.

I also want to share a couple of the cards for this release that I have shared on Instagram. I've been sharing more cards there then on the blog. You can find me on Instagram HERE.

You can see how much I love the Harvest Blooms since I made a card for the sneak peek and for the hop.

This card below was so much fun to make. I combine 5  sets from this release on this card. I used Slimline Sentiments Blanket dies, Little Red Wagon dies, Nuts About You stamp & dies set, Itty Bitty Leaves dies & Let’s Hang Out stamp & dies set. Yay, me! Hah.... Sorry, I have to pat myself on the back, since it's very rare where I used so many sets in 1 card.

GIVEAWAY!!! A new release party is not complete without giveaway, right? We are offering a $25 Gift Card for each day as a giveaway. You must hop & comment to be entered to win.

Honey Bee Hello Summer Release Blog Hop

Hi all & welcome to day 2 of Honey Bee Hello Summer release blog hop. For complete list of the hop for day 1 please visit HERE.

Honey Bee is really rocking it with this summer release. And, one of my favorite set to play with from this release is the Birds of Paradise set The birds are fun & cute.

Here for my card, I paired the bird with the Hexagon Thin Frames dies. I die cut the thin frames on a piece of white cardstock and then colored them with Copic markers. Then, I simply having fun with the placement before finally adding the bird and the leaves. Finished by adding sentiment from Tropical Tweets set & Candlelight Confetti Mix.

I got into this design so much that I ended up making another card with same style, just different color & different bird. :)

Now, I know you have several blogs to check out, so I am keeping mine short & sweet. As always, Honey Bee is offering a $25 gift card for each hop day. Simply join the hop & comment along the way to enter. Winner will be announced on Honey Bee blog.

Honey Bee 5th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 1

Hi all! Welcome to Honey Bee 5th anniversary blog hop! There will be 2 days of hop as we have lots of projects to share. I am glad that you are here joining us on day 1 and helping us celebrate. We have many fun & beautiful sets line sup for this release and we sure hope you love them.

You should arrive here from Honey Bee blog (that's also where you can find complete list of today's hop participants). Without further delay, here are my cards. Let's start with this soft pastel rainbow color flower card.

For this card, I started by ink blending some colors on a panel of cardstock and then run it through my Cuttlebug with the Flower Centers Coverplate. This plate added those dots details around each petal. Once I did that, I layered the panel with Flower Petal Coverplate. This plate cut the petals. You could use each coverplate individually, but layered together they create fun detailed petals.

Once I finished gluing all the petals, I added drops of Nuvo Jewel Drops in various color (trying my best to match the flower colors). Once they dry, I stamp sentiment from Friend set and use the matching Friend dies.

For my next card, which is one of my favorite from this release, I used the gorgeous Farm Flowers set and  Buffalo Plaid stamp set for the background. How pretty is this flower bouquet?

Started by stamping the plaid background and then simply stamp, color and die cut the flower and the tin can. Finished by adding sentiment and some enamel drops.

There you go. A couple cards that hopefully help inspire you to create this weekend.

And, of course, we have a giveaway as part of the celebration. For each day of the hop we're giving away $25 gift certificate to the shop. Simply comment along each blog and winners will be chosen randomly and will be announced on Honey Bee blog.

Happy 5th anniversary Honey Bee and I am so thankful that I get to be part of such great company. Here's to many more . From here please hop on over to my dear friend, the fun & amazing Kelli Latevola. Thank you all for stopping by here. Please stay safe, stay healthy and have a blessed weekend.

Honey Bee Mine Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to day 1 of Honey Bee Stamps Bee Mine blog hop. We are having a 2 days hop, so tomorrow please check back on Honey Bee Stamps Blog as we'll have different line up for each day. For this release, Honey Bee has quite a few fun and adorable sets that I simply adore and I hope you'll love them, too.

Hopefully, you arrive here from Bobbi Lemanski blog, but in case you're missing any link, you can always start over at Honey Bee Stamps Blog.

I personally love the way my card turned out. Introducing Pierced XOXO Heart dies, Bad Influence & Sweet Treats stamp & dies set.

Actually, when I started this card, I have completely different idea. See, I started this card with the idea of doing rainbow hearts from Pierced XOXO Heart dies and really just use the hearts as the main focal point of my card. However after coloring the hearts & messing around with it, I just didn't quite feel it.

Then as I moved the hearts around, they get twisted and all, and I was like, oh hey, this is a fun look. Once that decided, everything else just fall into place quickly. Add the cute piggy and add some sweet treats as border to ground the piggy and tadaaa.... cute card done! Hah! Happy accident card.

Oh yes, I am also patting myself on the back on this card, because it's pretty rare where I used 3 sets on 1 card. I think I'll repeat this design again with different color and different critters, simply because I really love the way it look.

GIVEAWAY
Of course, we have giveaway for this release. Honey Bee is offering a  $25 gift card for each day of the hop. Simply hop along and leave comment here and on each blog. Each comment count as one entry. So, the more place you leave comment on the higher your chance. :)

Well peeps, that's all from me today I hope you enjoy today's hop. I am the last stop on today's hop. Thank you so much for stopping by here and for joining the hop. May your week starts off wonderfully.

Honey Bee Happy BEEday Blog Hop Day 2

Hi peeps!! Welcome to Day 2 of TWO days of blog hops celebrating Honey Bee’s 4th Birthday and HUGE Birthday release!! Glad to have you joining the celebration. We have lots of new goodies, including pretty 6x6 paper pads. And, of course, we have a ton of inspiration as well as giveaways so make sure to check out the whole post and all the stops on the hop!

While today I'm only showcasing Spring Peony, Happy Birthday and Radiant Background Stencil, I'll be sharing more projects using the new release goodies over the next few weeks. Make sure you follow my Instagram account HERE as I share more projects there than here.

To start, I use variety of Glitz Glitter gel to create the ombre glitter look. These gels are so easy to use & spread beautifully. Once it dry, I trimmed the panel and adhere it to the card base. Next, I stamped, colored and die cut the flower. Adhere it to the card with foam adhesive.

I also added some white dots with white gel pen to add interest to the flower. Finish by stamping & adhering the sentiment strip (sentiment from Happy Birthday set). There's already lots of glitters on this card, so I keep the rest of the card simple.

Now, if you haven’t had a chance to check out all the new products you can find them all HERE <— click! at the Honey Bee shop!

Honey Bee Brie Mine Hop

Hi peeps and welcome to day 2 of Honey Bee Brie Mine blog hop. In case you missed the first day, check out Honey Bee blog post HERE.

We have loads of amazing inspiration for you showcasing the newest release from Honey Bee, Brie Mine!! This release is full of cuteness & sweetness!!

For my card, I used the adorable Mae The Mouse. Funny story, recently at the office my boss was having a meeting and suddenly he called me and said, "Vera we have visitor." So, I went to look and here's this cute, tiny mouse inside our office by the front door. Being an animal lover, my reaction, along with my assistant was, "Aw, how cute!"

Yeah, not the reaction my boss was hoping for. LOL. I opened the door and the poor guy scramble away, but not before I noticed that his hind leg was injured. So, then we went looking for a box, so we can rescue it, but it already disappear. My boss think I was nut for wanting to rescue it. Me, I think it's normal. What do you think? Hm..., on second  thought don't answer that. ;)

Needless to say, that cute teeny tiny mouse was on my mind quite a bit. Thus, playing with this mouse stamp is fitting. Hah....

I mean, how adorable is Mae? I grounded it with the flower wreath from Hello Gorgeous set (I think this is my most used Honey Bee set) and colored it with Copic.  For the sentiment I used the word me & Valentine from the new Brie Mine set & die cut it with its coordinating dies. Finish by adding some Sugared Peach acrylic heart.

Honey Bee Stamps Bee Bold Blog Hop

Hi everyone! Welcome to Honey Bee Stamps Bee Bold Blog Hop. All the new release sets from Honey Bee are now available in store and today we have line up several fun & creative projects for your inspiration using the new sets.

If you've been following my blog, you know that I am a big time animal lover. Needless to say, when I saw the No Probllama, I did a happy squealing. Hah! This llama is so darn cute!

For my card, I keep it clean & semi simple. After I stamped & colored the llama, I die cut the sentiment on the panel using Bee Bold Alphabet dies. Then, I trace the opening on a piece of cardstock and inked it with distress oxide inks. I put this piece behind the letter opening. Adhere the panel with foam tape. Finish by adding some sequins from Cloudy Day sequin mix.

Okay, on to the next card. This time, I am using Frappe Shake Card dies. Now, you can use this dies to make frappe shape card, or you could cut it in half and use it on normal rectangle card. In all honesty, I was going to do the shape card, but I messed up the coloring and since I don't like to waste paper, I decided to just cut it and use the still blank site & start over. :)

I inked the cardstock with distess oxide ink and then run my wet watercolor brush over it to kind of soften the colors & the blending. Once it dry, I die cut the "thankful" sentiment. And then stamp the sentiment from Grateful set. I also use the Sentiment Banner dies to highlight the word friendship. I sprinkle some Candlelight confetti mix to mimick the bubble tea look, which is one of my favorite drink.

GIVEAWAY:

Woot, woot! Honey Bee is giving away two $50 gift certificate to the store. All you need to do is leave a comment on each blog for a chance to win. Winners will be announced on HERE of the Honey Bee blog on August 10th.

Birthday Otrichs

Hi peeps. How's it  going? This weekend, I immerse myself in some crafting time. Often, this hobby, card making, helps me to deal with things. It allows me to just let my  mind wander & become a therapy for me. :)

I work on some design team assignment, but I also make card just for fun. It's been a while where I see a set & immediately think I have to have this set. Well, it happened with this Wplus9 Oh My Gostrich! set. I saw it & it was love at first sight. I just thought the ostrichs look soooo cute! Can't resist them.

For this card, I combined it with Honey Bee Hello Gorgeous set. I love the way the flower wreath frame the banner & the ostrichs.

Seriously, this is the cutest ostrich set ever! As animal lover, I sure love cute animal sets.

Well, that's all for me today.

Oh yes, I can't go without announcing the winner from Get Cracking on Christmas hop. Congratulations, Sue D, you're the lucky winner for the Pinkfresh Studio Joy & Cheer stamp & dies set. Please email me with your mailing information.

May your week starts off wonderfully. Cheers....

Honey Bee Stamps & WOW Blog Hop

** For The Ton Summer Blog Hop please scroll down or click HERE**

Hi peeps, welcome to a very special Blog Hop collaboration with the WOW! Embossing Powder & Honeybee Stamps.

The best part of having a blog hop is meeting, sharing and inspiring one another in this beautiful crafting community. We feel so blessed to have our path’s cross with each other and we all hope this collaboration inspires everyone.

If you are hopping along, you should have come from Rosali Bartz blog. If you get lost along the way, head back over to the Honeybee Stamps / WOW! Embossing Powder blog for the complete list of designers joining in the hop.

There's quite a few blog for you to visit, so let's get on with it, shall we. Here's the card I created for this hop.

To start I stamped the image from Honey Bee Zen Bouquet on a piece of watercolor cardstock and heat embossed it with WOW! Rose Gold embossing powder. So, pretty, right? What can I say, I love working with this set and that rose gold is such a beautiful color.

Once I heat embossed the image, then I watercolor the image. I find this process very therapeutic. I just went to town with all my favorite color and am pretty happy with the way this turned out. Once it dry, I trim the edge with an oval cutter (you could also use a curve dies) and adhere the panel to the card base.

For the sentiment, I used Love Bug set on a strip of vellum and heat embossed it with WOW! Super Fine White embossing powder (seriously this is my favorite white embossing powder). Trim the vellum and adhere it to the card. Tip: to adhere the vellum, I place the liquid glue behind the letters, so it didn't show to the front of the vellum. Finish by adding some Wedding Ring Rhinestones (I also place one of the rhinestone on the border of the vellum and the card, to help hold the vellum down).

So, what do you think? I hope you like it as much as I enjoy making this card. :)
***GIVEAWAY***

Honey Bee Spring Release Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to day 1 of Honey Bee Spring Release Blog hop. We're so happy to have you joining up. You should arrive here from the talented May Park and in case you missed any link, the hop starts HERE.

Honey Bee released quite a few sets with this release, but as you may know, yours truly love animals, so, it would be no surprise that I chose to play with what I consider the cutest fella in the bunch, Pinky The Pig.

I stamped, colored and die cut the image and you know what I love about the dies? It actually cut the hooves, so you can lift it up and insert the cake (or cupcake or pinwheel, just depend on the theme of your card). I love it, because often I have to cut the slit myself when working with animal images.

For the background I used one of the stencil from Hexi Patterns Background Stencil. Once I finished inking it with various ink colors, I adhere the piggy with pop dots and stamp the sentiment (from Hey, Pumpkin set). And, of course, I have to sprinkle some confetti. The one I used is the Surprise Confetti mix.

GIVEAWAY
Now, no hop is complete without a giveaway, right? Honey Bee is giving away two $50 gift certificate and 4 of the Bee Organized Prize Pack. Simply leave a comment on each blog and winners will be announced on this page of the HBS blog on May 5th.

From here please hop on over to Wanda Guess and to make it easy, below is a complete list of the hop participants for day 1. Thank you all for stopping by here and may your day be a wonderful one.

Autism Awareness Day Blog Hop

* For The Ton Release post please scroll down or click HERE. *

Hi everyone and welcome to the 2018 Stamping for Autism Awareness Blog Hop. I am thrilled to be a part of a fantastic group of designers as we do our part in spreading Autism Awareness to our crafting community.

This hop was created and hosted by Veronica Zalis. And, I am supporting her effort to spread the autism awareness not only because she's my friend, but also to honor my foster brother in Indonesia teach at school for autistic children. I think it's a honorable, hard work that not too many people chose to do.

And, in case you're interested and would like to learn more about autism, check out this article A Shift from Autism Acceptance to Appreciation.

3 of the companies that I am designing for are proud sponsor of this hop, SugarPea Designs, The Ton & Honey Bee Stamps. So, for my card I am proudly representing all 3 companies. :)

I first cut the diagonal background using SugarPea Designs Diagonal Striped Cover Plate out of watercolor cardstock and then add the watercolor. Let dry and adhere to card base. Next, I work on the critters & flowers. The beaver is fromSugarPea Timber set  & the bear, bunny & hedgehog trio is from Honey Bee Forest Friends set. The flower is from The Ton Fresh Cut Sunflower Outlines. Color all of them with Copic and once that done I simply arrange them all on the card and adhere with pop-dots.

There's more dimension on this card in person as on top of adhering the images with pop dots, I also like to curl the pieces before adhering them, so they don't look so flat. Finished by stamping the sentiment.

GIVEAWAY:
These are the generous and just flat out fantastic companies that have donated over $1,100 in prizes!! Make sure you visit Veronica's blog for the prize detail and visit all the companies who generously sponsor this hop (see the links below).
Am so happy that you stopped by my blog today. Please be sure to visit SugarPea Designs, The Ton & Honey Bee Stamps for a look at some of the fantastic cards for today's hop! Cheers....
