Honey Bee Cheerful Love Blog Hop

Hi peeps! Welcome to day 2 of Honey Bee  Stamps Cheerful Love Blog Hop!

We're celebrating Honey Bee Stamps Cheerful Love Release that are now available in the store and to celebrate the new release, we are having a two day blog hop called Cheerful Love. So please hop along with us both days to be inspired! In case you missed day 1, you can check it out HERE.

Of course, we have fun giveaway, too. Be sure to visit each blog & leave a comment to be entered to win!!! We will be giving away two $30 gift cards to the Honey Bee Stamps store, one from each day. The winners will be posted on our blog Tuesday, February 27th.

Let's get on with my card, shall we? I just love, love this cutie patootie platypus. Mind you, I love stuff animals and one of my favorite back from when I was in junior high was a white platypus. So, when I saw this Penny Platypus, it sure brings back lots of memories and I enjoy playing with this set.

For the background I made my own background by mixing some alcohol inks and swipe them back and forth. Pretty color combo, right? I used Tim Holtz alcohol ink in Amethyst, Sail Boat Blue, Turquoise and Citrus with silver mixative.

Then I stamp, die cut and color the platypus and adhere it to the card base with pop dots. Then stamp the sentiment from Ridiculously Happy set. At first, I was going to leave the card the way it is, but then I remember this awesome bling, bling called Wedding Ring Rhinestone that I haven't get to try. So, naturally I had to use it since I think it compliment the card perfectly.

I am also entering this card to the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge of making your own background.

In case you're wondering why my platypus look slightly different than on the set, that's because I make his eye larger and I draw a soft line underneath his eyes. I think the little doodle make him look more like my platypus that I used to have. :)

Well peeps, that's all from me today. You have quite a few blog to hop to, so grab your cup of your favorite drink & enjoy the hop. Here's the complete list of today's hop participant. Thank you for stopping by here and enjoy your weekend!! Cheers...

Hi peeps! Yay, today is the day. All the new goodies that you've been seeing this whole week, will be available in the store this afternoon!  While waiting for that, we have some more goodies to showcase.

Introducing the totally adorable Better Together set and the fabulous Large Striped Cover Plate. I used this cover plate on my card on day 2 and 3. Below is my card using Better Together set.

When I made this card a few weeks back, I was in the middle of watercolor craze. Well, who am I kidding, I am still into playing with watercoloring technique. I stamped and heat embossed the milk and the heart cookie. Then I went to town with the coloring.

Here's a look at the stamp & dies set that being introduced today.

SugarPea Sweet Peeks Day 4

Hi everyone! We're almost there. Tomorrow, all the new goodies will be available in store. Meanwhile, today we continue with more sweet peeks. Introducing the beautiful Garden Topiary set.

This set totally remind me of the garden in Versailles with  their beautiful topiary. And, the font combination on the sentiment on this set is one of my favorite. It's fun & elegant at the same time.

For my card, I start by stamping the pots and the the topiary. As usual, I like to add shadow and dimension on the image on my card. Here I added shadow to the pots and then dab Copic in various greens to the topiary. Once that done I die cut the bottom of the card panel using the curve border from Card Front Element Builder. Then stamp the sentiment and adhere the panel to the card base. Finish by adhering some sequins.

Here's a look at the set:

SugarPea Sweet Peeks Day 1

Hi peeps! Welcome to SugarPea Designs sweet peek weeks. We have quite an array of new sets to share with you that we hope you will love as much as we love them.

For today, we are introducing Pretty Peonies and Card Front Element Builder dies. Let me just say, if you love flower stamps, this one is definitely a must have. I love flowers, so this definitely up my alley.

For my card, I start by die-cutting the watercolor card panel using one of the edge from Card Front Element Builder dies. Then stamp and heat embossed the flower with rose gold embossing powder. Once that done I did loose coloring with Ranger Oxide Distress ink. Adhere panel to card base and finish by die-cutting the hello sentiment from glitter paper (I layered with a couple cardstock to make it thicker).

Below you can take a look at the new stamp & dies that we're introducing today. I have to say the Card Element Builder is pretty neat. You can create so many look with this dies set.

The Ton February Challenge - Heart

                                           Image may contain: text

Hi peeps! happy February. Yep, yep, we already passed the first month on 2018. Crazy isn't it? Anyway, new month means new challenge at The Ton Challenge Blog. Since it's February we're going with the cue word "Heart". Easy peasy & fun theme.

For my card I started by tracing a heart shape on a card panel. Then I stamped the flowers from Wild Peonies, Mini Wild Florals and colored them with Copic. Once that done, I cut the heart shape opening on a piece of scrap paper and use it as mask and lightly inked the heart edge. This help to strengthen the heart shape. Adhere the card panel to card base.

Next, I work on the sentiment. I love this sentiment from Summer Blooms and stamp it and heat embossed it with Rose Gold embossing powder on a strip of vellum and carefully adhere it to the card base. Finished by adding mix size Dew Drops

So, what do you think? Will you join us and play along? You could win gift certificate to the store. Check all the challenge detail and enter your card HERE. Thank you all for stopping by here and may your February be filled with lovely things that makes your heart smile. Cheers....
