Birthday Wishes Train

Hi everyone! I am back in town. After 8 nights in the city of love, hubby and I are back at home and currently as I am typing this post, my baby boy is snuggling on my lap. LOL, I think he was sulking a bit last night as at first he refuse to sleep by my side, choosing to sleep by  my feet instead (which he never did). But after a few hours, he finally forgave me for being away and back to snuggle by my side.

I have tons of pictures, which I still have to sorted through. So, most likely those pics won't get shared anytime soon as right now I have lots of homework. :)

But, before the trip I know I want to try out for Paper Crafts Gallery Idol again. I made this card before I left.

Lots of details in this card (click on the pic to see it in larger details). I first cut out the train shape using my lovely Mr. Q (my oldie but goodie Silhouette SD). For the back of the card, I simply removed all the train elements and cut only the outline.  Then I assembled all the front train pieces one by one and for fun and trendy addition I used sequins for the center of the wheels.

You know me and my love for cute animal stamps, so of course I have to add some to this card. There comes the giraffe and purple hamster. And since I love using banners and bright colors add  those to the mix as well.

Then, I was like, hmm... choo-choo train without smoke is not quite complete. So, I die-cut a cloud and attached it to a skinny strip of acetate and adhere the cloud die-cut so it looks as if steam coming out from the train. Voila.... my card for 2013 Gallery Idol audition.

What do you think? Do I stand a chance? All I know I have a blast creating this card and that's one thing that I want to always remember. To have fun. When you love what you're doing and enjoy it, it'll show. Now all I can do is cross my fingers and hope for the best.

With that note, I think I'll take a nap. Jet lag settling in. :) It is so good to be home again. Travel story coming soon.

HB2U

Hi there lovely peeps. As this post go up, I should be (hopefully) sleeping like a baby after coming back from our Paris vacation. Either that, or I'll be groggily awake and wishing I could sleep due to the jet lag. :)

Today, sadly is my last post as Paper Smooches SPARKS team member. The new team is coming and I can't wait to see their awesome works. It's been such a pleasure to be on this team and thank you, Kim Hughes, for the opportunity. For our term last post the challenge is to create a project inspired by this pic.

Hm.... the color and  the repeat of the tag pattern is what drew me and here's my card with lots of colors and repeat hamster image.

I hope you will play along with us and check out what my fab team mates has created for this challenge HERE. And... happy Memorial day!

Music Mae

** For There She Goes Stamp Aquaholic Blog Hop please scroll down. **

Yikes... today is a busy day. I promised this is my last post for today. I'll make it short &quick. :)

Day 2 of Some Odd Girl new clear stamp release. Today we're highlighting Music Mae. I have this background cut out for awhile now and just didn't quite know what to make with it. Then, when I saw Music Mae, I thought this would make a pretty fun card for teenager with all the sparkliness on the background.

My niece, Maddy is so into music (she's the only freshman who made it into her school singing club, kind of like Glee) and she has beautiful voice. So, I made this card for her. I kind of dig the no sentiment style at the moment.

Please check out Some Odd Girl for more samples of this new releases.

Leaving On A Jet Plane

Happy Friday, lovely crafty peeps! Today hubby and I are leaving on a jet plane to Paris. Oui.... We've been saving for awhile to make this trip and I am so excited. I've been to Europe before, but never been to Paris. So, needless to say I am ready for some Paris adventure. Even better.... I get to meet my mom there. Yay... :)

I do have a hard time leaving Eli though. Sigh... I am so attached to our baby boy. Luckily, we leave him in a good hand. My cousin is staying at our place and she is a big time doggy lover and she's bringing her crew, so Eli will have plenty of fun. Ollie..., well my ol' lady probably just like whatever and find her comfy corner and sleep. She is after all going to be 15 in a couple more weeks.

Anyhooo, I do have a card to share today. There She Goes Stamp is highlighting some past sets and I chose to play with Torico's set called "On The Move"

My other cousin will have to move to Dubai pretty soon as her hubby being relocated for work and I will need this kind of card.

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday. I have all my post scheduled and ready to go.  Hopefully they all go up without a hitch as next week I have tons of new releases to share from Some Odd Girl & There She Goes Stamp. See you when I come back. Cheers.....

Instagram Smile

On Monday, I got a surprised when I visited Moxie Fab World. Cath has chose to showcase my camera gift card holder as published on Paper Crafts 350 Cards & Gifts.

Here's how the card looks like. Can you see the hidden gift card holder?

And, here's how the card looks like once you pulled out the gift card holder. Yep, I created a little gift card holder than can be pulled out when you detach the rainbow stripe. The super think velcro tab hold the stripe in place.

This card will be going to my brother (who is a photographer) for his birthday. I know he'd appreciate this card. :) Thank you for letting me share my excitement here. Have a blessed day everyone.

** Smile and the world smile with you. **

I {Heart} U

Happy Monday! Sorry that my blog been a bit quiet. Have quite a few things going on as I am trying to get things done in advance before my vacation starts. And, sometime life takes precedence over card making as well. My BFF was needing a shoulder to lean on and we ended up spending the whole Saturday shopping and hanging out. Nothing beats therapy like a good shopping. I had lots of fun playing as a fashion adviser. ;)

I was so whooped that I went to bed early Saturday night and Sunday we celebrate Mother's Day by taking the baby (that's Eli my pug puppy) to the dog park. Hah... like any good mom, it's all about the kids, right? It was actually a bribe because he got so stressed out from getting his nail trimmed, that I feel so bad and to make it up we took him to the dog park for some fun time. He met some new friends and dip his feet in the pond.

Anyway,  that's pretty much my weekend story. How about yours? Did you do anything special for Mother's Day?

Now, let's get down to business. It's time for a new Paper Smoochers SPARKS sketch challenge.

I love this sketch and decided to pull out some patterned paper to play with. And, here's what I made:

Can you believe it that I have this set for a while now and just now finally using the balloon images? Sigh... too many stamps, not enough time.

Want some more inspirations?? Please check out what my team mates has created at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog. Thank you for visiting here and I hope you all had a great Mother's Day.

You Color My World

A while back, Paper Crafts had a submission call that required the use of watercolor. And, I've to say it was a fun call, that even after the call ended I continue to play with watercolor.

Then, I saw Moxie Fab the wonder of watercolor challenge. I know right away I want to play along. I have this silhouette cut out that I colored with Luminarte H20 shimmer watercolor paint that I've been wanting to use and this challenge is just what I needed.

Here's  my watercolor wonder.

This silhouette is just so pretty and I think the watercolor gives it an ethereal look. I simply love the way this card turn out. My love of colors and CAS design all in one. This girl is happy. :)

Well, my countdown to my vacation time is starting. In about another week, I'll be on my way to Paris to meet my mom. I am super excited. The only downfall is hmm... I have to be away from our baby boy for a little bit. With our jasmine in full bloom, hubby took my pic with our li'l guy. I can't even begin to tell you how much this li'l boy color my world.

That's it from me today. Hope you all have a lovely day.

When Pigs Fly

Hm.... sometime you ran out of idea on what to write. But, I do want to share this CAS card that I made using the pig from There She Goes Stamp "Oh Crop" set. There's just something about animal stamps that I adore. Especially when they're cute & have smart sentiment.

The cloud is made of blue vellum and traced with stickles all around.

Short post. No idea what else to write. Happy Wednesday. :)

Paper Made Bakery May Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to Paper Made Bakery Blog Hop. Today we are celebrating the release of May kit called "On The Go" and I have to say this is one of my favorite kit. I simply love everything that's included in this kit.

Without further delay, here's my card.

I love the gray arrow ribbon and the wood veneer Polaroid frame. I colored the frame by rubbing the inkpad directly on it and added the puffy heart sticker inside it. And the sentiment stamp set is so awesome. You definitely won't be disappointed if you get this kit.

And, of course a blog hop would be even more fun with a giveaway, right? Well, we are giving away a Mini Fresh Baked Kit. You'll have until the end of the week to enter. We'll announce the winner on PBM blog, Twitter and Facebook.

Please hop along and find some inspirations along the way.

So Lucky You Are In My Life

Yay! I finished a layout. I don't get to scrapbook as often as I'd like to, but when I do I get super happy. After all, I have tons of pictures to document.

I got inspired to scrapbook this weekend, when I saw this layout sketch from Elle's Studio.

I've been wanting to create a layout of my favorite subject, our pug puppy, Eli. He is such a poser and the pic below is my favorite picture of him with hubby. By the way, we need to clarify that he is mommy's boy first and daddy's boy second. Hah...

Gahh... his face, his expression melt my  heart every time. Yes, I love this boy very much.

The patterned papers are from American Crafts  & Jillibean. The banners and tabs are from Elle's Studio. I have a whole stash of Elle's Studio stuff waiting to be used and it's my goal to use them all.

I still need to learn on how to take good picture of a layout. So far I haven't managed that. I ended up scanning this layout.

Cheers To May

Happy May!! May is a big month in my family. My parents and my brother got married in May, my li'l brother was born in May, and.... in about 2 weeks, hubby and I will finally get to to take our first vacation to Europe. I am so excited!

Now, to celebrate the beginning of this month, Some Odd Girl has a new sketch challenge.

And, here's my interpretation of the sketch:

I know, I know there's a rectangle on  the sketch, but with  the doily on the background, I feel my card doesn't need that rectangle. :) I am pretty happy with the way this card turned out. The colors just scream spring to me. What do you think?

Also, today is the last day to send in your entry for Odd Idol. There are pretty huge prizes involves and you can't win unless you try. So, if you want to give it a try (which I really encourage you to do) you better hurry and you can check out all the rules HERE.
