I recently placed my very my first order from The Ton Stamps. Their stamps been on my wish list for a while. They have quite a few gorgeous flower sets that I just got to have!
So, this weekend, I dove right in and played with the 2 sets that I got. Large Peony 1 and Wild Peonies.
Here, I stamped the large peony onto patterned paper and then add colors to it with Copic markers. For the background, I stamped the various peonies from Wild Peonies set directly on the card base and use the masking technique. I really love the way the background turned out.
After playing with these sets, I now want all their other flower sets. I think I just find myself a new favorite company. I am also entering to The Ton's World Cardmaking Day Challenge.
BTW, I have to do a quick shout out to my blue eyes Michigan guy, my hubby who is celebrating his birthday today. Since we're both so in love with our baby boy, Eli, for his present, I asked this talented artist that I found through a pug group in Facebook to draw picture of Eli. Here's the reference pic.
And, this is her drawing:
Isn't this amazing? I wish I have her drawing talent! I'd have drawn all the dogs in our family. I am waiting for it to arrive, soon. Karen Dimaio, the artist, sent this for approval before she mail the drawing. Hah... It was supposed to be a surprise to hubby, but I got so excited as Karen sent her progress and ended up showing it to hubby already.
I am grateful that I have a hubby who shares my love of dogs or animals in general. I don't think I could be married to someone who doesn't love animals like I do. Hubby is such a great dad to our babies. We are a lucky bunch to have him. Happy birthday, JJ!
That's it from me for today. May your week starts off wonderfully. :)
