Hi everyone and welcome to CASEing Kelly Blog Hop. A little introduction. A year ago, Kelly Latevola started this special series CASEing Genius where she featured paper crafters that inspired her and create a card based on the featured crafter's projects.
She featured me back in November 2014 and you can see her post on CASEing me HERE. Kelly has always been so supportive and I love her generous spirit. So, today, as her CASEing Genius series is celebrating its 1st anniversary, Marika Rahtu & Nina Marie has kindly organized this blog hop as a thank you and a surprise for Kelly.
Each of us chose 3 of Kelly's cards and then we got to create a card based on the chosen 3 cards. Here's Kelly's cards that I love:
Hm... You know, how much I love critters, right? This card totally scream cuteness and her coloring is just fantastic!
As someone who loves clean and simple style, this card totally caught my eyes. The colors, the crisp design... perfection.
And, this one, I just think the coloring is so amazing. Her bright coloring of the owl & the leaves totally make this card pop.
The CASE:
So, for my card, I am inspired by Kelly's CAS style on these cards along with the bright coloring and make this bright, cheerful card that. The layout of the card with a border on the left reflect the design from card #2.
The use of white space is reflection of Kelly's card 1 and 2. And, the rest I think you could see it's totally inspired by card #3. This card is CAS, yet it also filled with so much color & brightness that I think capture the signature style of Kelly's cards.

Vera this card is amazing, you captured the style of Kelly's cards and still keep your unique spin on it. Slam dunk girl! Also, while we are talking of super talented and generous crafters, which Kelly certainly is, can we forget o mention your kindness and compassion in organizing the Caring Hearts Card drive every year? I personally want to thank you for all you, my Mom passed away in June, but up until the end was making cards, and had even contributed to your drive for several years. You helped me to get some cards sent to her nursing home two years back, and I cannot tell you what that meant to the residents who received them! I love seeing talented crafters, but even more I love seeing good, caring and kind people honored, and both Kelly and you should be honored everyday for these qualities, as well as your amazing talent as artists! God bless you!
