Caring Hearts Mail

Hi peeps! How's your weekend? Did you take advantage of the extra one hour of sleep? LOL, for me it was great on Sunday, but come Monday morning, hmmm.. that 6 o'clock sure felt like it was still 5am! And with the cooler weather, I did not want to get out of bed.

Anyway, Friday night, right after work, I went to check the mail box and look what came in!

Tons of cards for Caring Hearts Card Drive! At first, when I opened the mail box, there were only 3 envelopes and a pick up notice. I was like, oh okay... a bit worried, since only a few days left to collect the cards. Then, when the lady came out with a bix postal box, you should see my eyes! I was like all of that? Girls, you all ROCK big time! I can just imagine how this is going to bring so many smiles!!

Here's a peek of some of t he cards that came in. I usually sorted them as they came in, so the ones I received previously already all neatly bundle & organized.

I started counting & added all the new cards to my log list (I need list to keep track of all the entries for the prize purpose). So far, we have collected 258 cards!! We have plenty of Christmas cards, but a bit short on the Thanksgiving cards. One of the nursing homes that will receive Thanksgiving cards has 120 residents and so far I have reach about half that amount.

I don't want anyone to feel left out if they don't get a card, so I started to do mass production for Thanksgiving cards. I managed to complete 24, including writing personal message inside each card. They are simple cards and granted they are not necessarily my best works, but I think the people that receive them will appreciate the thought. I made maybe like 6 different designs and repeat each of them 4 times with just slight variation of colors. All I know, by Saturday evening I can barely color inside the line because I was soooo tired.

And, I know many just now sending out their cards, so I am hoping we'll reach 120 Thanksgiving cards by November 15!! Here's a couple of the Thanksgiving cards that I made. BTW, I surpassed my 50 cards goal! Yay. I am tired, but I am very happy and thankful I can do this. Just the thought of how much this effort going to bring smiles to so many people was enough to keep me going.

Challenges:
Crazy 4 Challenges - square cards
Sew Many Cards - DIGI STAMP and fall
Digi Doodle Shop's Best - fall or autumn

I'll post all the other card for my next post. LOL, since I made that many cards, might as well use it for the blog post, right? I also received some personal thank you cards from some of you and I will share those here sometime this week. Girls, I am the one who need to thank you for all the support. I can plan and organize this card drive, but it wouldn't been a success without your help. You made it possible!

Now, I feel like I am out of creativity juice. Not good. LOL, I cannot afford of having my mojo go on vacation. I haven't even start my own personal Christmas cards. Eekkk...

One more card for the card drive. This one is Christmas card, inspired by EBTKS challenge, Jay Gee's Nook, and Moxie Fab Diggin' on Damask challenge.

I am thankful for all of you my fellow card maker, blogger for coming by my blog, for your encouragement, for your support. Thank you for making my dream come true by helping me bringing smiles to those who needs it. I appreciate you! Hugs!
