A Chef and A Phone

What you think of my post title? LOL, I have no idea what to put. But those are the focus of my cards for today.

One of my favorite card maker is Torico. I love her clean style. She designs for There She Goes Stamps and just recently she started to sell her digital stamps on her Etsy store Birdie Brown. I know right away, I want to play with her stamps.

She only have 3 stamps on the store at this moment, but I just love this one!! He's such a cute chef. :)

I am entering this for Catered Crop FTR6 challenge. I followed their cooking theme, square shaped card, used pattern paper, lots of colors, paper trim, and distress ink. I love their challenge, cause you can just pick parts of the recipe to follow.

Now, for my next card, it's something abit unusual for me. As much as I love me Silhouette, I rarely used it to make shaped cards. Somehow it feels like cutting those parts, even though the machine cut it for you, is a lot of hassle. But, since I am in the mood of trying somehing new, I decided to give shaped card a try. I had this die on my Silhouette library for the longest time and this is the first time I am using it.

For this phone card I used the color combo from Totally Hues Challenge #2, which is to use aqua mist, ocean tides, raspberrr fizz, and chocolate color.

Challenges:
Paper Take Weekly - Anything goes + (optional) something old/not used for long time
Cupcake Craft - anything but square

Here's how it looks open.

What do you think of my retro phone? Did you ever miss the old rotary phone? I do. There's something nostalgic about the old school stuff. Like, I keep thinking I want an old typewriter for part of my home decor. Especially the one that has retro color. When I was in Seattle last year, I saw a red one and it looks so darn cool. I wanted to buy it, but suitcase space was limited. Oh well...

Hope you enjoy your visit here and maybe we should give some old friends a "ring" just to say hello. :)
