MFT Summer School: Primary

So, what do you think of our summer school theme for this month? Are you enjoying all the color lessons?

Today, we're focusing on primary color. According to wikipedia: Primary colors are sets of colors that can be combined to make a useful range of colors. They are red,  yellow & blue. In traditional color theory (used in paint and pigments), primary are the 3 pigment colors that can not be mixed or formed by any combination of other colors. All other colors are derived from these 3 hues.

Now, for my card today I used my Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush to watercolor this card. I used the red, blue and yellow, of course. The color does appear softer. After all, there are many hues of red, yellow & blue. This card, definitely reflect the softer hues.

Now, you see some specs on the card. That's because after I finish the watercolor I spray the panel with water mixed with some pearl powder. When you see this card in person, it actually has a nice shimmer to it.

Here's a look of the card from the side, to show how the letter popped. Fun letter dies, right?

Now, check out for more details on this lesson on My Favorite Thing blog and from there you can see the link to all the design team member who participate on today's class. Hope you're enjoying the class!
