The Ton June Release

Hi all and welcome to The Ton June 2020 release. We have 9 amazing sets for this release and I have to say I think this is one of my favorite release from The Ton.

All the new products available right now at The Ton shop as this post goes live. Yay! Let's get on to the cards, shall we as I have quite a few to share. Did I tell you how much I love this month's release?

My 1st card is definitely my favorite that I made for this release, using Foliage Coverplate.

I die cut the foliage frame twice from a watercolor cardstock. I colored them with various blue & green watercolor. Once dry, I simply flip flop the frame when I layered them and adhere with foam adhesive. This end up quite a pretty thick card with all the layering. For the sentiment, I die cut the word love 3 times to layer using Skinny Mod Alpha Coverplate Die. Adhere to card then stamp the rest of the sentiment on a piece of cardstock. Finished by adding some enamel dots to the berries.

For my 2nd card, I used the Lovely Peony Layering Dies.

This dies set has 4 layers for the flower, but don't let it intimidate you. I simply did some ink blending with various ink color on a piece of white cardstock, die cut and piece all layers together. I prefer to do the layering this way instead of using colored cardstock, because the colors are more subtle. To add a bit of interest, instead of just adhering it directly to the card base, I die cut the square frames using Double Stitched Squared Coverplate dies and use it for super subtle background. Sentiment is from Layered Floral Alpha Stamp.

For my 3rd card, I used Poppy Wishes, 9x12in Grouped Layering Stamp with its coordinating dies. This one is one of those set that actually surprised me. I wasn't sure how much I really feel of this set, till I actually play with it. When the card came together, I was like oooh, this is a cool set.

I also used the Leafy Bits Coverplate dies on this card. I usually shy away from what I consider strong colors, but I really love the way this card turned out. It just look so cheerful.

And, last but not least, is another favorite card, using Swallowtail Layering Butterfly Dies & Many Sentiments dies. I love butterflies and when I opened my package and saw all the butterflies dies, I was like a kid at Christmas morning. The butterflies dies that being released today are simply gorgeous.

Using glitter paper for this butterfly is definitely a must try in my opinion. :) I adhered the cut out butterfly to a piece of cardstock, add the colors and then I die cut it with the outline dies. On hindsight, I should cut out the butterfly base first instead of doing it after. I didn't do that here, but, I still love the result.

Please check out what the team has created for this release. You will find more amazing inspiration from my talented teammates. Thank you all so much for stopping by here and may your week starts off wonderfully.
