Blossoms & Borders

Hi all. Ah, my blog been a bit neglected. Yep, I just realized that I haven't made any post for 2022. Time to fix it. I haven't been crafting as much as family life taking priority. However, I do try to squeeze in some crafting time here and there.

For today, I am excited to share a couple cards from Spellbinders' January release. First up, is this card I made using Spellbinders' Cinch and Go Blossoms Etched Dies. I love working with flower dies, so of course, when I saw this set, I knew right away that I want to play with it.

I used a mix of colored cardstock and white cardstock for my flowers. And with all of them I added shade to it with Copic  markers. Piece all the flower together and put them aside. Next, I worked on the panel. I love working with soft gray color. I trim the panel shorter than the card base and on one of the edge I used one of the scallop border from this month's new Romantic Slimline Borders Etched Dies. Adhere the panel to the card base and then arrange all the flowers. For the sentiment I used Sending You - Clear Stamp of the Month. Once all  this done, finished by adding some enamel dots.

Next, I want to highlight one of the gorgeous border from Romantic Slimline Borders Etched Dies.

I die cut the border from various soft color cardstock and carefully remove them with all the parts intact and glued them all layer by layer. I have to say, I got really lucky with these borders as most of the part stay together and make it so much easier for me to adhere them all with not much fussiness. Once the borders layered, I worked on the flowers using Simply Perfect Layered Blooms Etched Dies from Simply Perfect Collection. I love, love this set!

I used white cardstock for all the parts and either ink blend them or colored them with Copic. Piece all the flower parts together and arrange on the card base. For the sentiment I used May 2021 Stamp Set of The Month and add some enamel drops.

A couple flowery cards that I hope you enjoy. I have to say I do enjoy and treasure every chance I got to craft. Life and work can get quite stressful and crafting allow me to unwind and be in my happy space. That's all from me today and I hope you all also get to find some time to be in your happy space. I know it's a bit late, but here's to a great 2022. May it be a year filled with many blessings for you and your family.

Beautiful cards! I like the idea of leaving all the parts of the border together. What a good idea.
