Autumn Floral Corner

I am definitely not the type of person that jump on everything that's the latest and the greatest. I tend to take my time and see whether I really need new tools or not. Anyway, after viewing some videos of Spellbinders Better Press, I decided it's something that's worth it for me tp splurge on.

And, yep, ever since I tried it, I am totally hooked. I usually only do a card for a set, but I find myself making multiple cards with the BetterPress plate. Today, I am showcasing Autumn Floral Corner Press Plate.

What is it about mushroom that makes them adorable? Wait... don't tell me, is it just me who thinks mushroom adorable? Hah!! Anyhooo, I love design that has mushroom. I guess because it makes me think of gnome, fairies, etc. I love fairy tale stuff. I sure am glad I get to play with tis gorgeous set. I press this image twice, each on opposite corner and then watercolor them/ Once done, I splatter some gold paint and let dry. Finish by adding die sentiment from Yana's Layered Script Sentiments.

For my next  card, I made a horizontal card and did partial press. Repeat same step as above.

All in all, these cards come together pretty quick. I know from the way it look online, there's not much different than stamped card, but in person, that little press indentation on the card, made such a difference in my opinion.

Hope you enjoy today's inspirations. Go and make today a great day!

Delicate Snowflakes

Hi friends. I know, we're still smack dab in August and as much as it doesn't seems right to share Christmas cards with its being smack in the middle of summer, I am more than happy to work on these cards. This way, when the season comes, I am more than ready. :)

Today I am showcasing the new release Delicate Snowflakes Etched Dies by Bibi Cameron. Honestly I never big in playing with snowflake image, but this set kind of caught me off guard and I ended up with 3 cards for it.

First up, using the largest snowflake in the set. For the background I used the Ski Lodge Embossing Folder.

Finish the card by adding sentiment using Snowflake Wishes Clear Stamp & Dies set paired with Mini Christmas Sentiment Strips Glimmer set.

On my next card, I paired the snowflake with Spellbinders' July Stitching Die Club kit for the background. Who said a stitched die have to be used for stitching? I think it looks gorgeous for background just the way it is. I simply ink blended some blue ink on the edges and that's it.

Last but not least is this card using the folk art looking snowflake die. Again, I used the Ski Lodge Embossing Folder for the background. For the sentiment  I used Pierced Mini Labels Etched Die to anchor the sentiment.

Phew... am pretty proud of myself that I finished all this 3 cards in 1 day. Here's all 3 cards together.

Well peeps, that's all from me today. Hope your week starts off with things that brings smile to your face.

Gold Pine Sprays

Hello. While we're still experience the hottest summer, I continue to grow my Christmas card stash. I find myself enjoying making cards a whole lot more now that I find a purpose. Besides selling my cards on Etsy, I also donate my cards to my church coffee house, where 100% of the proceed goes to our church fund. I feel like this gives me purpose to make more cards. Do good & making people smile with my cards, what could be better, right?

For today, I am showcasing a card I made using Spellbinders Pine Sprays Hot Foil Plate.

I simply did the foiling on navy cardstock and then adhere it to the card base. For the sentiment, I used an the letter dies from an older set that I love, called Stitched Joy Etched Dies. To brighten the card a bit, I added Poinsettia from Holiday Blooms set.

This card comes together pretty quick and I am happy with the way this card turned out. That's all I have for today. May your week starts off wonderfully.

Crocus & Ladybugs

Hi friends. Today I am showcasing a 3D card using Spellbinders Crocus & Ladybugs Etched dies. I have a friend who's birthday coming up and I thought the Crocus flower would make a pretty birthday card.

I die cut the flower pieces from soft purple cardstock, the center from yellow cardstock and the leaves from green cardstock.  Before assembling them, I ink blended the flower edges with purple ink and the green leaves with darker green ink. Arrange and adhere everything to the card base. I curl some of the leaves before I adhere it to create dimension.

Finish the card by stamping sentiment from Sending You - Clear Stamp of the Month set and some enamel drops.

With the flowers dimension, this is definitely not a card I plan on mailing. I always save my 3 dimension card to be handed out personally. Beside sit makes more impact that way. :) That's all I have for today and I hope you all enjoying a great weekend. Cheers.

Spellbinders BetterPress Christmas

Hi peeps. Last weekend I get to play with my Spellbinders BetterPress set and seriously, when I saw the result, it was a wow moment. The print came out so crisp!! Well, let's get on with the cards, shall we?

First up is this birdie card using Spellbinders Christmas Greetings Press Plate. They're not kidding when they said that you literally could use BetterPress tool right out of the box. It's so easy to use.

I placed the image plate and the sentiment together, inked them up and run it through the die cut machine. Once that done, I simply watercolored it, let dry, trim the panel and adhere it to the card base. Finish by adding some rhinestones.

Here's another card I made using the same set. I love birds and I love the bird on this set.

I really love playing with BetterPress. That little indentation from the press definitely make a difference. It's small details, but I love it. For the next card, I used Exclusive: Holiday Foliage Joy Press Plate on Pebble BetterPress Cardstock.

Here's another variation.

And, last but not least, this card showcasing Chic Merry Christmas Press Plate. The clean, simple but modern design of this set make it a perfect set for doing mass production card. It looks fancy, yet you don't really have to do much. I simply do watercolor on it and that's it.

Okay peeps, that's all I have for today. I hope you enjoy today's cards and if you have tried BetterPress, I'd love to hear your thought on it. Thank you all for stopping by here and I wish you all a wonderful day. Cheers....

For my 2nd card, I repeat the same step as before except I did it on colored cardstock. I love the result on coloring on colored cardstock.

Spellbinders August Club Kits

Hi friends. As what we're in Texas call pre-heating season pass and now baking season starts, I am excited to bring some inspiration featuring Spellbinders Club Kits. With Spellbinders you have many different kits to choose from and I choose 5 kits myself.

Let's start this post with Spellbinders' August Stitching Die Club kit. I've been wanting to use black background as I usually shy away from dark background, but I figure time to step up my game.

And, I have to say I am pretty darn happy with the way this card turned out.For the card base and the background panel I used colored cardstock and for all the flower and leaf pieces I used white cardstock and then colored them with ink blending. Once I finished the coloring, I wrapped the flowers with silver string. Adhere all the pieces to card base and finished by adding enamel drops to all the flowers and leaves.

Next, I am sharing this card I made using August 3D Embossing folder.

I love how the 3D embossing folder really make the design popped. I used light pink cardstock and then add some colors to the raised image with Copic marker. For sentiment, I hot foiled one of the sentiment from More Sentiments Hot Foil set.and finish by adding rhinestone to the flower center.

On to my 3rd card using Spellbinders August Embossing Club Kit.

I am keeping it simple with this card. First, I ink blended the card base with rainbow color ink and then run the panel with the embossing folder. For the sentiment I die cut the letters from Be Bold Upper Case Etched Die set. Layered the letters a couple time to make it popped a bit and finsih by adding some mix size rhinestones.

Next up, this fun pomegranate card using Spellbinders' August Large Die of The Month Set. This card definitely has lots of pieces. But, the result is worth it.

For the background panel of this card, again I used Spellbinders August Embossing Club Kit. You could leave the background plain, but I wanted a bit of texture. Cut and piece together all the parts and adhere to card.
Phew... I think that's all I can muster for today. I still have 1 more kit to share with you all, but let's save it for another post, shall we? I hope you enjoy today's cards and may it brings you inspiration to get creative. Thank you for stopping by here. May your August be a good one.
