Christmas Felt Stitch & CReate Collection

Hi friends. Today I want to share a few projects featuring Nicole Spohr Felt Stitch & Create collection for Spellbinders.

First up is the Felt Candy Cane set, which I actually used with cardstock and stitched with silver metallic threads.

Just because these sets are designed for felt, doesn't mean you only have to use it with felt. It works just as beautifully with cardstock. I actually love the way it looks like cardstock.

Now, for my next 2 projects I did decide to use felt and use them to decorate my Christmas tree which, yes, it's already up. LOL, the only reason my tree is up was because we finally decided to get new tree when one that I want was on sale and need to make sure all the lights working  before the return window close. So, since we had to unpack it to test the light, might as well put it up and decorate it.

Here comes to Felt Snowman Star.

Hubby love this snowman ornament and asked me to keep it, so yep, am keeping it. Hah! I have to admit, stitching on felt a bit harder than on cardstock. But, nevertheless I love the way this one turned out. I do agree with hubby that this snowman is adorable.

And, last but not least, introducing Felt Gingerbread Boy & Girl.

Now, when working with felt, I can attest that using good, thick quality felt definitely made a huge difference. Here I used the felts from Spellbinders Merino Felt Wool Warm Collection for the body, bow and buttons. This felt is luxurious, thick and simply beautiful. Only after experiencing it first hand that I realized the difference. So, yes, it may cost a bit more, but it made stitching way easier and the result is so much prettier.

Well peeps, that's all I have for today. Hope you enjoy today's post and may your Thanksgiving week be a good one. Cheers...
