SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Day 3

We're almost there! Welcome to day 3 of SugarPea Design sweet peek week. Today, I am so delighted to introduce you to a set that totally make me gasp with delight when I saw it. Introducing Happy Little Trees! Ack... how cute is the name of this set?

I think most artist would know or have heard  of Bob Ross, right? I remembered watching some of Bob Ross painting video. He's tone always so soothing. But, apparently not everyone knows about him. Hubby gave me a blank look when I showed him the set and I was like, how could you grew up in the States and doesn't know Bob Ross? LOL, I ended up searching on youtube to show him who is Bob Ross.

Anyway, here's my card using this adorable set.

This card pretty simple. I keep the design clean with lots of white space and just let the image take center stage. For the sentiment, I combined the sentiment from Happy Thoughts with dies from Happy Word With Shadow set. For a little extra, I cut the word happy from metallic cardstock.

Here's a look at the sets I used today:

SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Day 2

Hi peeps. How are you all doing? Welcome to day 2 of SugarPea Design sweet peek week.

Today, we have a super sweet set to introduce, called Cottontail Cuties. If you've been following my blog for a while, you know besides flower, I love cute critters sets. And,this one is simply sweet & adorable. SugarPea also coming out a very versatile stencil that I thought is just brilliant, the Outdoor Scene Builder stencil.

For my card, I started by stamping, die cutting and coloring the images from Cottontail Cuties set. Once that done, I put them aside and using Outdoor Scene Builder stencil the soft background on the card panel. I used the cloud and the grass side  of the stencil. I think soft coloring just came naturally for me. Besides, I want the critters to take center stage.

Adhere the card panel to the card base and arranged & adhere all the pieces together. Somehow this scene make me think of English country side. Maybe because I just finished watching Peter Rabbit?? Hah...

Anyhoo... here's a look at the stamp set & the stencil.

As always, with new release we also have giveaway. Would you like to win a $50 Gift Voucher to our store? Leave a comment below for your chance to win. SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Day 1

Hi peeps and welcome to day 1 of SugarPea Design sweet peek week. We are excited to bring you the latest release from SugarPea.

To start with, today we're introducing Piece of Cake Sugarcut. This is such a fun dies to play with. You literally can create a whole cake out of this. I have to admit though, taking picture of the result is a bit of pain. Hah.... I keep changing angle and I still feel I didn't do justice to the actual piece.

For my slice of cake, I decided to use what I consider spring color. After putting together the slice of cake, I decided it needs a banner to make it more festive. So, using the banner dies that's included on this set, I die cut some banners and then add heart dew drop on each banner.

Next, since I was born in rabbit year, so I thought yeah, why not use a rabbit to decorate my cake. It's my party & I love rabbit. :) I used the rabbit from Egg Cut-Away Window Die and watercolor it. Once it dry, I draw an eye to make it look cuter. I was going to leave the slice of cake the way it is, but somehow without sentiment it didn't feel complete to me. So, I decided to add a strip of sentiment.

With this dies, you can have the cake open from the top or from the side. Make sure you check out SugarPea Design blog for more ideas.

Now, giveaway time. Would you like to win a $50 Gift Voucher to our store? Leave a comment below for your chance to win. TWO lucky commenters will be randomly selected from the Sweet Peek Week comments to win a $50 Gift Voucher! Winners will be announced on SugarPea Designs blog: Monday, May 25th

Our team has some amazing and creative inspiration for you using this dies. You can visit each of our designers’ blogs below for details on their projects. And while you’re there be sure to leave a sweet comment for them, giving you an extra entry to win! Thanks so much for stopping by here.

The Ton May 2020 Release

Hi all and welcome to The Ton May release. I am so excited for this release as we have quite a few fab products lined up that I hope you will love as much as we do. Make sure you stop by The Ton blog for complete list and view of the new products.

Now, without further delay, let's dive in to the cards, shall we? For my 1st card, I am showcasing Rose Patch stamp set, Rose Patch dies and Circle Frames Slim Borders Coverplate Die.

I started by die-cutting the circles from a piece of watercolor cardstock and then cut them in half. Next, I watercolored them in rainbow color. I didn't use all the circles, instead I used every other circle to allow white space in between the half circle. Put aside.

Next, I stamped the roses and die cut them. I love how quick these roses come together. Next, I adhere the half circles and then arrange the roses above it. Next, I stamp the sentiment from Easy Expressions Birthday set. Finished by adding some enamel drops.

Now, on to my next card, where I used the remaining half of the circles. Watercolored them in slightly different colors.

Next, I die cut the rectangle panel using the Double Pierced Rectangle A2 Coverplate Die and adhere it to the card base. Then adhere the half circles. For the rose, I used Large Florals: Rose and then finished it with sentiment from Easy Expressions Thanks and some enamel dots.

Both cards have the same basic designs, but still looks quite different. I prefer to use as many parts of stuff that I die cut rather than throwing them away. :)

Please check out my teammates blog for more showcase of the new products.

Well peeps, I hope you enjoy the release and find many inspiration to create. This is such an uncertain time and crafting definitely part of my therapy to cope with the situation. May you and your family all stay safe and well. Sending big virtual hugs to all of you. Have a blessed day everyone.

Hey Honey Bear

Hi peeps. Just want to share a wee bit of sneak peek of my card. I am up on SugarPea Designs blog today and you can check out the full card there. Big hugs.

Honey Bee 5th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 1

Hi all! Welcome to Honey Bee 5th anniversary blog hop! There will be 2 days of hop as we have lots of projects to share. I am glad that you are here joining us on day 1 and helping us celebrate. We have many fun & beautiful sets line sup for this release and we sure hope you love them.

You should arrive here from Honey Bee blog (that's also where you can find complete list of today's hop participants). Without further delay, here are my cards. Let's start with this soft pastel rainbow color flower card.

For this card, I started by ink blending some colors on a panel of cardstock and then run it through my Cuttlebug with the Flower Centers Coverplate. This plate added those dots details around each petal. Once I did that, I layered the panel with Flower Petal Coverplate. This plate cut the petals. You could use each coverplate individually, but layered together they create fun detailed petals.

Once I finished gluing all the petals, I added drops of Nuvo Jewel Drops in various color (trying my best to match the flower colors). Once they dry, I stamp sentiment from Friend set and use the matching Friend dies.

For my next card, which is one of my favorite from this release, I used the gorgeous Farm Flowers set and  Buffalo Plaid stamp set for the background. How pretty is this flower bouquet?

Started by stamping the plaid background and then simply stamp, color and die cut the flower and the tin can. Finished by adding sentiment and some enamel drops.

There you go. A couple cards that hopefully help inspire you to create this weekend.

And, of course, we have a giveaway as part of the celebration. For each day of the hop we're giving away $25 gift certificate to the shop. Simply comment along each blog and winners will be chosen randomly and will be announced on Honey Bee blog.

Happy 5th anniversary Honey Bee and I am so thankful that I get to be part of such great company. Here's to many more . From here please hop on over to my dear friend, the fun & amazing Kelli Latevola. Thank you all for stopping by here. Please stay safe, stay healthy and have a blessed weekend.

#spreadjoynotgerms Blog Hop

Hi all. As we all going through this uncertain time and doing our part staying at home, we all looking for ways to bring joy to others. For us, card makers, one way to do that is by sharing creativity and inspiration for others to create. And, of course, to actually sending out the cards that we've been making.

Along with The Ton stamp company, I am joining over 100 cardmakers with #spreadjoynotgerms blog hop hosted by Catherine Pooler and Hedgehog Hollow. This is just a fun blog hop filled with fun projects. Of course, there are major giveaway going on as well (see below for details).

Get yourself a drink or two (there are lots of blogs!!) and join us for a line up of inspiration. I hope you enjoy this hop. So, let's get on with the card, shall we?

I am so obsessed with the latest release sets from The Ton. All the products I used on my cards today are from The Ton. I can't resist playing with the gorgeous Lily Fields.

I love using random color combination on my card. Often I start with no plan and just go with whatever I feel by the time I start coloring. I started by stamping and heat embosing the image on a piece of watercolor cardstock and then watercolor it using Tombow and Karin markers.

Added details to the flowers with white gel pen. Adhere the panel to card base & then for sentiment I die cut the letters for hugs using Modern Alphas Coverplate Dies from silver foil cardstock. Stamp the rest of sentiment on a strip of cardstock (from Layered Floral Alphas set)

I was going to do just 1 card, but then I started playing again & ended up with another card with different colors.

No rhyme or reason why I chose these colors for my lilies. I was just having fun watercoloring. My therapy. :)

On this card, for the sentiment I die cut the word you from Brushed You Dies. Layered it 4 times with the base layer made of silver foil cardstock. Otherwise the letter just disappear with all the colors. The sentiment Thinking of You from Brushed You set.

There you go. 2 cards from me that in my opinion totally screaming spring is here!! :) From here please hop on over to Kari VanNoy. In case you missed any link, you can find the complete list at Catherine Pooler's blog or at Hedgehog Hollow blog.

The Ton April Release

Hi everyone. We are celebrating The Ton's April 2020 Release with 13 new sets (with delayed shipping - see The Ton's post for more details).

I am trying to balance my time between watching news and self care by not watching news and doing something fun, which this past weekend means lots of watercoloring. This release has some of my favorite sets that I can guarantee go to my always keep stash.

Let's get on with it, right away, shall we? For my first card, I am showcasing this gorgeous Lily Fields set. I am so in love with this set.

I started by stamping and heat embossed the image on Master Touch watercolor cardstock. I was curious to see how this set would look on the line patterned watercolor cardstock. All I can say, I totally lost myself in coloring this. When I looked at the clock it was literally almost midnight. I just didn't want to stop.

Once I am done with the panel, I adhere it to the card base. For the sentiment, I stamped & heat embossed "Sending" from Peony Laurel set on a piece of vellum and die cut the letter for the word "LOVE" using the Modern Alphas Coverplate Dies. Finished by adding some jewel enamel drop.

If my first card, all feminine and flowery, my second card is more on the festive side, using Confetti Balloons, Mega Confetti Numbers & Confetti Alphas.

I started by stamping the first balloons with Amber Citrine ink pad. Then, I created a couple mask for the balloon and stamped the other balloons repeatedly in Soft Garnet, Soft Garden, Caribbean Turquoise, Azurite & Soft Amethyst. Then I stamped the sentiment, number and the corner confetti. Since I am into jewel enamel drop, I used it here for a little extra oomph.

So, there you go, a couple cards that I hope help brighten your day and hopefully inspire you to get crafty. Now, for more fun stuff, how about a giveaway?  The Ton is giving away 1 stamp from our April Release (excludes 9x12 stamps). Simply leave a comment on all design team member blogs by midnight 4/15. Winner will be announced on The Ton blog.

My teammate has created some amazing projects. Please check them out and leave some love. We appreciate you joining us and I am sending you  big virtual hugs. Be safe & be kind.

Sending You Spring Pugs & Kisses

Hi peeps! It's been a while, isn't it? I am popping in today to share my card that I made for SugarPea Designs Mix It Up challenge 65.

I love rainbow and when I saw the color inspiration on this pic, I was like, woohoo, my cup of tea. :)

I am going all pastel with my card. I used my For Pugs Sake set and paired it with Meadow Motifs. Have I told you, I love Pugs? :)

If you want to play along, there's still time, but hurry. Check out all the details and enter you card at SugarPea Blog.

Hope you all stay safe during this uncertain time. I am personally very anxious and wish I could hug my mom and be with my family,  but for now, we do lots of Facetime. I definitely treasure our chat time even more so. Praying that this will pass soon. Thinking of you all and sending virtual hugs.

The Ton March Release

Hi peeps. Welcome to The Ton spring release. The Ton is releasing 11 new stamps to celebrate our Spring 2020 Release! We have a mixed collection of grouped layered stamps, coloring outline stamps and a variety of sentiment, alphas and number stamps for this release!

We will also going to have an Instagram hop on the following days, so check out Instagram for extra inspirations & giveaway. :)

For today, Ia am showcasing Rose of Sharon stamp & dies set, Floral Bits stamp & dies set.

The Rose of Sharon is one of the big set and what I love about it is that it allows you to do the layer stamping quickly. For the big flowers, I layered Soft Amethyst, Iris Bloom and Violet Fringe and Lemon Drop for the center of the flower. Then for the leaves I layered Lofty Mint, Bright Emerald and the additional Hot Tourmaline for the small flowers.

Once I am finished with all the layering, I stamped and heat embossed the outline of the flowers and leaves with Rose Gold embossing powder. Die cut all of them. Before adhering them to the card panel, I flicked some watercolors to the panel.

For the sentiment, I used the sentiment from Lily Bloom set. I love the cursive and the print type font combination. As usual, for finishing touch I added some mix size dew drops. So, what do you think? I hope you like the sets I showcase here. I sure have lots of fun making it.
