Fall Florals

Hi, peeps. I am back with my 2nd post for today. This time I am combining Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge 247. The SSS challenge is "No Patterned Paper", which is for me translate to pretty much everything goes minus patterned paper. Hah!

I know that it's time to clean my craft room, when for the longest time I thought I didn't have the dies for this Fall Florals set, only to find out that the dies have been sitting on my desk all along, buried under piles of scrap. I was so happy to find the dies set, that I went ga-ga with the set and made this flower happy card.

Sigh... To think that I used to dread flower set. Totally show how things and taste change over the years. And, it's a bit hard to see because of the soft color, but I stamped the background with Etched Flower Background stamp. In person, you could see it more.

SPD Falling For Fall Challenge

Hi peeps and welcome to SugarPea Designs challenge. Since today is the first day of fall, you could guess what our challenge theme going to be, right? Yep, we're all falling for fall. :)

Create any project with fall theme. Of course, I reached for this cute nutty squirrel for my card.

I have to admit, as much as I love fall colors in nature, I find making fall theme card a challenge. Fall color combo is just not my forte. I prefer brighter, happier colors. Thank goodness for cute critter to help with the mojo. Hah!

A Little Birdie On A Window

I find it amazing that sometime, the set or dies that you didn't think you'll love, ended up become one that you really love. That's the case with me with this Boutique Window dies from My Favorite Things. It wasn't on my shopping list, till I saw Kay Miller's use of it HERE.

This is my 1st project using it.

Kay, she is my enabler. I love her work! After I saw her card, I am like, okay, I'll get this window dies. I might like it. Then, I made this card and I was like, ooohh... this is cool & with that, this dies become one of my favorite!

I love, love, love the way this card turned out. I fussy cut all the flowers as I won't want any white outline from the flower dies and for some more flower variation, I also use the blooms from Birds of Paradise set.

I already made another project using this dies for upcoming MFT event in October. However, I am sure that I'll make another project using this dies before then. So, stay tune for it!

Cake Bunny

Happy Sunday, y'all. I've been in a creating mood today and happily finished several projects, including this watercolor cutie for Crafter's Companion. LOL, this image make me think that  maybe I should dress up Eli, my pug, as a piece of cake for Halloween!

Crafter's Companion supplies: Bebunni Yum Yum Yum set, Spectrum Aqua:
Slate, Scarlet, Meadow, Sunflower, Bud Green, Aqua Marine, Desert, Topaz, Orchid 

I notice that when it comes to large image, I prefer to use watercolor technique that alcohol marker, because it allows me to finish the coloring quicker. Besides, I love the watercolor look as it often reminds me of children story book.

Just a quick share as I am getting ready to watch the Emmy. I love watching the Emmy. Hope it's not disappointing. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday evening, peeps.

You Are My Happy Thought

When I saw the theme for this week challenge I got all excited. This week theme is "Die Crazy". To create card using dies. I love using dies and this week we're highlighting Wplus9, one of my favorite company.

Of course, immediately, I know I want to work with the Happy  Mail set. I am making this card with my little niece in mind. 

I had so much fun creating this sweet scene. Seriously, how could you not love this adorable set.

Birthday Birdie

Hi peeps. How's it going? We're back with new sketch challenge from My Favorite Things. Here's the fab sketch.

And, here's my interpretation of the sketch. I simply focus on the circle. I've been wanting to play with this Birthday Centerpiece dies and goodness.... love, love, love it! This card going to my boss who is celebrating his birthday today. 

I couldn't get the right lighting when taking this pic. In person, it shimmers really prettily and the watercolor background is just gorgeous!
