Christmas Felt Stitch & CReate Collection

Hi friends. Today I want to share a few projects featuring Nicole Spohr Felt Stitch & Create collection for Spellbinders.

First up is the Felt Candy Cane set, which I actually used with cardstock and stitched with silver metallic threads.

Just because these sets are designed for felt, doesn't mean you only have to use it with felt. It works just as beautifully with cardstock. I actually love the way it looks like cardstock.

Now, for my next 2 projects I did decide to use felt and use them to decorate my Christmas tree which, yes, it's already up. LOL, the only reason my tree is up was because we finally decided to get new tree when one that I want was on sale and need to make sure all the lights working  before the return window close. So, since we had to unpack it to test the light, might as well put it up and decorate it.

Here comes to Felt Snowman Star.

Hubby love this snowman ornament and asked me to keep it, so yep, am keeping it. Hah! I have to admit, stitching on felt a bit harder than on cardstock. But, nevertheless I love the way this one turned out. I do agree with hubby that this snowman is adorable.

And, last but not least, introducing Felt Gingerbread Boy & Girl.

Now, when working with felt, I can attest that using good, thick quality felt definitely made a huge difference. Here I used the felts from Spellbinders Merino Felt Wool Warm Collection for the body, bow and buttons. This felt is luxurious, thick and simply beautiful. Only after experiencing it first hand that I realized the difference. So, yes, it may cost a bit more, but it made stitching way easier and the result is so much prettier.

Well peeps, that's all I have for today. Hope you enjoy today's post and may your Thanksgiving week be a good one. Cheers...

The Ton November Release

Hi friends. Today we're celebrating The Ton November release and it's a good one. I am excited that we have pretty good size release. First up, I am showcasing the Winter Bear Layering Stencil set. After seeing so many layered floral stencil, it is so refreshing to finally get a layered critter stencil. I love this bear! Since this is a pretty quick coloring with the stencil, it's great for mass production.

Next, I am showcasing Dazzling Daisies set paired with Nested Striped Border Dies.

I love, love how detailed the petals of these daisies are. And, love it even more that I can get all the pieces with 1 run through the die-cut machine. I die cut all the pieces using white cardstock and do the coloring afterwards. If you want a fuller flower you can use all4 layer in 1 flower or if you want a less dense flower, then just use 2 layer. Here, I used all 4 layer for the top flower and use 2 layer for the bottom flowers.

Die cut the frame using one of the die from Nested Striped Border Dies. Colored it by ink blending Spring Salad ink on it, followed by adhering the flowers and leaves. Added sentiment from an older set that I have on my sentiment piles and finally finished by adding some white dots and enamel drops.

Hope you enjoy this month's release. Please check out what the team has created and let us know what you love from this release. Thank you for stopping by here and for all the support. Cheers...

'Tis The Season

Hi peeps. Today I want to pop in to share the latest Spellbinders Stitched Die of the Month . This time I get to combine the stitched frame with one my favorite set Party Puggles and use these every day set to create Christmas card.
Please note: Compensated affiliate links may be used at no cost to you and, please make sure your cookies are enabled. As always, I appreciate your support of my blog.

I start by die cutting the stitched frame and did the stitching. I almost did cross stitching, but then I think the slanted one line stitch looks more modern and clean looking. Die cut all the Pug pieces and put it together. For the poinsettia I used Delivering Joy Sleigh Etched Die set. Put everything together.

And I also enhanced the card base by adding a wide strip of cardstock and super thin one to add interest. I am happy to add another Pug Christmas card to my stash. I hope you enjoy today's card. That's all for me today. Till next time.
