Floral Fusion & Roses

Today, I h ave the pleasure to bring you the new color challenge from My Favorite Things. Here's the fabulous colors for your inspiration to use any way you want.

For my card, I chose to play with the Floral Fusion dies and using ink daubers added the various colors.

It has kind of a funky vibe, isn't it? Me, likey. Check out what my team mates have created for this challenge HERE and join us, will you?

Now, since I am in the mood to play with flower theme, I made another card just for fun. After my roses card on my post yesterday, I just have to make another one. That rose background stamp is simply gorgeous & so fun to play with!

This card is inspired by another card of mine that I made a couple years back for a publication. I love stamping on patterned paper, especially when you have the right patterned paper that just complement the image so perfectly.

Well,  that's it from me for now. Hope you  have a fantastic Thursday! Cheerio...

Happiness Is Trying To Catch You

Hi peeps. It's time for new My Favorite Things sketch challenge.

I've been wanting to play with this roses background and so excited that I finally get to use it. I heat embossed the roses with gold embossing powder and only color some of the roses (to represent the circles on the sketch) and leave the rest blank.

I am totally loving this Sno Cone cardstock combine with the gold. It balances out the boldness of the gold. Check out what the MFT Challenge team has created for this challenge HERE. Can't wait to see your project!

Little Monster

I realized that I don't do enough boy cards. On my stash there's only maybe 4-5 of them. Time to fix that, right? Lucky for me, there's several new cute sets that  will be coming out this week from Crafter's Companion.

Here's a peek into one of the set, called Freddie.

Crafter' Companion: Freddie, Spectrum Noir: BT1, BT2, BT3,
CT3, EB3, FS4, IG1, IG2, TN1, TN2

A boy in a cut monster outfit? How adorable is that? I am saving my boy cards for my nephews because when I saw this set, it totally made me think of them.

The funny thing, my puppy, Abby actually have a Halloween monster costume that look just like this costume. Hah... Not that I could make her keep it on her. When we put it on her, Eli immediately tried to pull it off her.:)

Hope you enjoy this sneak peek. There's a lot more cuteness from Crafter's Companion and I'll share another one tomorrow. Stay tune as today I have more post scheduled. See you in a bit!

MFT Summer School

Hi all. Have you been enjoying My Favorite Things summer school? This whole week, the MFT team been sharing various lesson in design. Today, our lesson is all about white space.

For many CAS designers, we love white space. Now, when we talked about white space, we're not necessarily talking about white as in the color white. In CAS design, white space = blank space.

Blank space doesn't mean boring. Often, the white space give your eyes a place to rest the eyes, area that give your design a pleasing openness, a pleasing balance. And, no, it doesn't mean it's simple card either. You can add lots of layer and be fancy, but by leaving some blank space, it keep the design from becoming overwhelming.

For my card today, I did go with white for my white space, simply because I do love the color white and I want my penguin to shine bright like a popsicle! :)

How adorable is this li'l guy? Pair him with blue polka dot swim trunk, he's ready to impress. Hah!

Well, today's lesson is definitely one of the most popular subject. Many member of the DT participating in today's class. Please swing by to the main class at MFT blog and check out what teh girls has created for this lesson. So, grab a cup of joe or tea and enjoy the class. TG

You Are My Happy Thought

In case you don't know, I love animal. I love learning about animal (gotta love Discovery & National Geography channel) and I respect the animal kingdom. I grew up having dogs, bird, fish, bunnies and squirrels (my brother found them as babies & ended up rescuing & nursed them). My mom used to shake her head when she found out my brother & I would sneak the squirrel to our bed & nap with them. So, yeah, I love animals. I think they're awesome.

As you can guess, my love for animal goes into crafting as well. Give me anything that related to animal and I am happy.

When I saw Wplus9 Happy Mail & Party Animal set, swoon... that was love at first sight. I was going to say especially the giraffe, since I have like 5 giraffe stuff animal and one of them like 4 ft tall, but who am I kidding. I have several bunnies & bear stuff animal as well. And, I didn't  mean when I was growing up. I mean now. as adult. Hah!

I am very excited to share my first result of playing with these adorable sets.

I was inspired by Joni Andaya's card HERE. I love her style and her works are amazing. I made this card with my niece in mind. What a cute gathering, right? Makes me think of children storybook that I used to read. Out in the meadow, the animal gathers & have a little party.

Here's a close up look of the gathering. :) I used Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush for the watercoloring.

Entering this card to Simon Says Stamp Challenge to create project using your favorite technique or products. This card is it! Watercolor & my favorite stamp sets.

I am super giddy with the way this card turn out. Will be sending this out to my niece. She's only 2,5, but I hope later on she can appreciate the card. Hah,.. I'll make her daddy save this card for sure. So much work & love goes into this card.

That's all from me today. I hope you have a beautiful day. Enjoy the little things.
