You Make Life Sweet

Hi peeps! Phew, what a whirlwind this past week been. I shipped out my last Caring Hearts box, emailed all the prize winners, our remodeling almost done (only a few touch up still needed) and at least our home looks decent again. Now I can finally focus on getting our home decorated for Christmas.

We haven't really put up the big Christmas trees since we have Eli & Abby. We only put up the table top Christmas tree. But, we figure this year we'll give it a try and cross fingers that hey won't destroy the tree. So far, so good. Day 1 passed without any incidents. We'll see how the tree is when we get home from work today. Finger crossed!

Anyway, I also squeezed in some time to do some cards. This month, the opportunity to do so have been far & few in between. When I do, I just have to crank up the production. :)

I just received this cute MFT mug die-namics and been itching to play with it.

LOVE this! So fun to play with and so perfect for my mini card. And, yep, loving the scallop rectangle as well.

Ooh... by the way, who's fans of The Voice? I am super duper excited for tonight's final performance. I am rooting for Jordan Smith all the way. I mean, come one, his voice is amazing!! Who are you rooting for?

Well, that's all from me today. See you all later!

Caring Hearts Card Drive 2015 Update & Winners List

Hi everyone. I know many of you have been waiting for the update for Caring Hearts Card Drive. here we  go!

First of all, thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support for Caring Hearts Card Drive. Because of your support and generosity, we have another record breaking year!! We collected 21,681 cards & covering 127 nursing homes throughout US, Canada and Australia.

Jennifer McGuire, Tina Schrof, Linda Langes, Anita Recksiedler, Caroline Bredeson and I are honored that you support our card drive. We are a small team & we do this on volunteer basis and your support means so much to us.

This is truly a community effort. And, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for caring, thank you for sharing our vision of giving & spreading kindness. When I started this, I never thought it would get this big, but I'm glad that it did, because we are doing what I believe Christmas is all about. That it's about caring, sharing & giving joy to others.

I am excited that many more people express interest to add their local nursing homes to our list. As long as we have cards to cover the number of residents, we gladly send cards to the nursing home that was suggested to us. :)

Now, time to celebrate this record breaking year with some fabulous giveaway. Here's the list of all the prize winners. Ladies, I'll be emailing you all. Thank you again to all for your support & caring hearts. We appreciate you so much!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hi peeps! Time for another round of coffee lovers blog hop. I am thrilled that this time I have new coffee stamp sets to play with.

For my card today, I am using the latest set from The Ton Stamps called Hug In A Mug and Caffeine Crush Sentiment set.

I wasn't sure at first, if I'd make it for this hop and kind of making this card literally last minute, last night right before I went to bed. Nothing like squeezing in things last minute.

For complete list of the hop participants please go to: Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog.

Super short post as I know you have many blogs to hop to. And, in case you're wondering when I'll post the update on Caring Hearts Card Drive, I'll post it either later today or by tomorrow the latest. I have several people emailing asking for update and I know I am behind, but we've been swamped as we received another record breaking amount of cards and scrambling like crazy behind the scene to get the packages out as fast as we could. So, stay tune and thank you for stopping by here. Cheers!!

Love You Always & Forever

If yesterday we challenge your creativity with a sketch, today, we're offering a fun color combo for you to try.

Pretty cool color combo, right? Sorry folks, I can't resist and just  have to play with the elephant again. What can I say, I am a sucker for cute critter!!

How sweet is this elephant? I made this card with my niece, Shakira in mind. Let jut say, my li'l niece would have good stash of cute card that she can collect as she grow up. Well, I hope she keeps all my cards that I send her way (to my mom who's reading my blog, please remind my brother that he better keep my cards! LOL.)

To keep  the card pretty flat, I did in  laid die-cutting for this card. I die-cut the scallop rectangle on the white card panel first, then the purple and laid the purple panel inside the white. The white on top is from the die-cut white scallop ractangle. Does it make sense? Basically, I only used 1 white panel cardstock on this card.

Please check out MFT Challenge Blog to see the team fabulous creations for this color challenge.

Tons of Fun

Hi peeps! Happy Wednesday. it's time for a new sketch challenge from MFT. Here's the sketch:

And, here's my interpretation of the sketch. I am sure you're not surprise that I chose to play with this new, cute elephant set from MFT.

Besides pug and giraffe, elephant is another animal that I have quite a few collection of. LOL, who am I kidding, I have all kind of animal related collection. From figurine to stuff animals, to coffe mug, I can't resist them.

Anyway, when I saw this elephant set, you betcha it was love at first sight! And, even though it took me forever, I am so glad that I finally figured it out how to do soft gray Copic coloring for my elephant. It's been a long time coming and I still have lots of practice to do.

Well, I hope you'll join us and play along! For more inspiration, please check out what the team has created for this sketch at MFT Challenge Blog. Cheers...
