Source of Inspiration

Hopefully this post go up without a hitch as scheduled. I have to leave home early in the morning today and will be spending my day at the hospital as my doctor trying to figure out what causing me to be sick so often. So, crossing my fingers that they'll find it. Don't get me wrong, I do not want to be sick. It just at this point, I think nothing more annoying than not knowing why you keep getting sick. At least if you know, then something can be done about it. :) And hopefully get things back to normal. Wish me luck!
On to card, today we  have new Wee Memories challenge for you. The theme is so much fun! "Source of Inspiration" and we're sponsored by Oh My Crafts!. All you need to do is create any project inspired by any project you see in magazine or stamping catalogs.

My source of inspiration is a card on Paper Crafts March/April 2011 edition on page 72. I love Kasia's card and really love that rectangle block of blue. I love my blue. For my card I created the block of color by cutting an opening in the middle of a post it  note paper and colored it in using distress ink in Broken China. And the sentiment is from SRM sticker. I won a set from SRM and so excited that I finally get to try their stickers. And... I love them!

Challenges:
Stampin' Royalty - mark it up / use markers

Isn't this card just look so vibrant and happy? LOL, hubby was asking if I make  this card for myself since I haven't been doing too well. This cards is actually for a friend of mine, Lori, who's one of my biggest cheeleader. :) She known me since way back then when I first started in scrapbooking and card making. And, I think this card will brighten her day.

Don't forget to check  out the DT fabulous creation at Wee Memories! Thank you all for stopping by and have a super duper fabulous weekend. Cheers...

Wee Memories Patterned Paper Challenge

Hi all! Are you ready for a new Wee Memories challenge? This week it's all about patterned paper.

We are sponsored by Paper Maniac and you can check out all  the challenge & prize details, plus the awesome eye candies by the DT gals here. For my card, I made this CAS looking card.

Most of us use patterned paper anyway on our card making, so this should be an easy peasy challenge and I hope many of you will join us. Looking foward to your creations!

On another note, as of yesterday we're almost reaching 500 cards for Caring Hearts Card Drive! Thank you, thank you,  thank you! I am continue to be humbled by your generosity. I had to go back and forth twice to pick up all the packages from the mail box to my car. I had to contain myself not to jump up and down when I opened the mail box and saw the pile of packages.

And, Ann Kikuchi from Anchorage, Alaska got me teary eyes with her note. She included a small donation to help me with the mailing cost. The simple gesture of kindness means so much to me. Ann, thank you so much! I say it before and I will say it again, I am so grateful for each and everyone of you who supported this card drive. It's successful because of you all.

Have a blessed weekend everyone!

Wee Memories Challenge 20

Long weekend... don't you just love it? Extra time to chill out or do errands around the house and more importantly more time to craft. Heh... I'm hoping I have my creativity running this weekend. Sometime I can have so many ideas swirling in my head, yet by the time I sit in my desk, I can be at lost of what to do. LOL, don't know which idea to use first.

On to my card for Wee Memories "WEE ONES" challenge. This week we are sponsored by Digital Stamp Characters who provided is with the cutest Pure Innocence digi stamps.

I pick the winter image one, hoping it would inspires me to start working on my Christmas cards. LOL, I am trying to be optimistic here.

I truly love Pure Innocence line of stamps. They're just so adorable. For the design, I used CPS sketch 182. I embossed 3/4 of the aqua blue panel, add the Papertrey Ink ribbon, then add the matted image.  I really should take 2 pictures to show the layering on this card. The girl and the red rider wagon were layered for extra dimension.

Head over to Wee Memories blog and check out all the amazing cards that DT came up with. And if you play, you get a chance to win "4 digital stamps" from Digital Stamp Character.

Have a great long weekend and be safe!! Hugs, Vera.
