SugarPea Design Sweet Release day 2

Hi Everyone, and welcome to to Day 2 of Sweet Peeks for our Spring Collection!

For my card today, I used the row of diamond to create this soft rainbow background. To be honest, ever since my dad passed away, I have a hard time to create Father's Day card, so instead I am showing you how to use this set to create every day card. :)

The sentiment is from Flowers For Mother set that was introduced yesterday and the monkey is from Chunky Monkey set from previous release.

SugarPea Design Sweet Release day 1

Hi peeps and welcome to SugarPea Designs 2017 Spring Release. We have lots of fun & cute products to share throughout the week. For day 1 we are introducing Flowers For Mom, SugarCut Flowers For Mom, SugarCut Mom Words and Sugar & Spice Paper Pad.

I used one of the patterned paper from Sugar & Spice paper pad and combine it with the stamp from Flowers For Mom set. The images I used here is my favorite from the set. They're simply gorgeous.

Stamping For Autism Awareness

Hi peeps! Happy Saturday and welcome to Stamping for Autism Awareness Blog Hop. 

I am thrilled and honored to be here today, to be joining this special hop organized by my dear friends Veronica Zalis and Tenia Nelson to celebrate World Autism Awareness Day! 

I am doing this hop in honor of my mom who used to volunteer her time at school for autistic children and for my foster brother who dedicated his life teaching at autism center. 

Without further delay, here's my card which kind of inspired by the rainbow badge.

 

I used the fox from Altenew Hug Me stamp set and colors the balloons blue as my way to represent Light It Up Blue. I hope this card would bring smile to whomever received it.  If most blog hop have prize, this time we don't offer any prizes. Our goal is really to focus and bring more awareness to autism, for greater understanding and acceptance.

The Ton Spring Release Blog Hop

The Belle's Dress Couture Mix is the perfect compliment for the sunflower and I just love that this card just scream cheerfulness and sunshine to the max. Here's a closer look of the shaker & the flower.

From yellow, let's jump to my favorite color, blue!! This Wishful Wildflower is one of my favorite and I chose to color it blue because it reminded me of the flowers that I used to see at our vacation spot when we were kids. Have no idea what the flower name was, I just remember them as blue flowers. :)

Sigh... I sure love blue. LOL, when I buy shirt for hubby, I seriously have to make conscious effort not to keep buying blue shirt. Here's a close up look of the flowers.

Too much brightness? Okay, my last card is definitely more subtle. Sometime, I just go with unusual color combo.

My first card is using the beautiful Pragmatic  Wreaths. A while back I ask Effie for hanging cluster of flowers and she came up with this set. It still amaze me how I could give her a request and she make it come to true in a way that's better than I imagined.

Isn't this wreath just gorgeous? Here's a close up of the image. For the sequins, I used Guava Shortcake Sparkling. This sequins quickly becomes my favorite color and with a name like that, I love it even better. ;)

For my 2nd card I use the Chandelier set on a piece of vellum and heat embossed it with sparkling silver embossing powder.

How elegant is this chandelier?

Rainbow Mother's Day Card

Hi peeps. Quickly popping in to share this card I made for the latest Simon Say Stamp Mothers Flowers and Fathers release.

I get to play with this fun Mom & Dad Icon set. I decided to focus on the word "mom" itself and highlight it with the heart. I just love how pretty it is.

Once I heat embossed the word, I went to town and color the panel with watercolor to create the rainbow look. Finished with the scallop border, also from Simon Says Stamp.

Short one for this one as I have another post coming up. Don't want to overload you with long post. Hah!! Hope you love this card as much as I love making it.

Seriously, this spring release makes me gaga with my excitement. I simply love all the flower sets. But this one, called Pretty Mail, oh goodness.... swoon worthy in my book.

For the inside of the shaker card I used the new Coral Necklace Couture Mix. It is such a gorgeous mix that compliment the colors I used on the floral frame.

For my second card, I used Peony Crush background, sentiment from Pragmatic Wreath, Dew Drops, and Arctic Sky ink pad. 

I was pleasantly surprised at how the Arctic Sky ink pad looks like when being stamped directly on soft pink card base. It becomes this beautiful grayish color that I just love. Then I added shadow details on the flowers with Copic and pencil color. I keep the color tone subdue since it is sympathy card.

Now, let's get to the card. First up is my card featuring the Wildflower Banner set.

How gorgeous is this set? It's such a fun set to color and you can bet that I'll play with this set a lot. Here's a closer look of the flower.

For my 2nd card, I use the Wishful Flowers to make shaker card. For the shaker card I used the Blue Lagoon Couture Mix  and added some extra Aqua Satin Beads and Light Aqua Buggle Beads. The sentiment "Wishing You All Kinds of Happy" is my favorite sentiment that I usually use for my birthday card on the inside. I am thrilled that Effie decided to add this to a stamp set.

My 1 card is using the beautiful Sunflower Bouquet, with sentiment from Chandelier set (you can take a peek of this set tomorrow). The soft line background on the card was made using the Freestyle Stripes background stamp.

All this yellow makes me feel super cheerful. Seriously, this set is so fun to color. By the way this set also have coordinating dies. Here's a closer look of the flowers. And, you know I love sequins, so I sprinkle some Peach Mousse sequins to finish the card.

Continue with the happy theme, here's my 2nd card using Sunflower Garden with sentiment from Modern Labels set (another set that makes its debut later in the week). Oh, for the center of the sunflower on the left, I used Champagne Seed Beads as extra detail and fun texture on the card.

All I can say, not only this release have a bunch of beautiful sets and the sentiment on the sets are among the best in my opinion.

The Ton April Challenge: Anything Goes

Hi peeps! Happy April. Yes... first quarter of the year has passed.  Sometime I wonder where did the time go? They seem to just zoom pass darn past.

With new month, that also means time for new The Ton Challenge and we make it super easy, Our challenge theme for this month is "Anything Goes". Couldn't be easier than that, right?

Here's my card for this challenge using the beautiful Fresh Cut Poppies (Coord. Outlines) set with its matching dies.

For the sentiment I used the Brushed Hug dies and layer it in two color to create the shadow look. Finish it with some sprinkle of Guava Shortcake Sparkling Sequins. I think the sequins help soften the bold colors for this card & am pretty happy with the way it turned out.
