Happy Belated Chinese New Year

Hello there. Whoopsy, things were piling up on me a bit and I missed blogging for a few days. And, to all my family and friends that celebrated the Chinese New Year, happy belated New Year! I celebrated long distance by face timing with my mom, brother & SIL.

In case you didn't know, this past Thursday we enter year of the goat. Random fact. ;) I have to say that besides Christmas and birthdays, I miss celebrating the Chinese New Year. I miss the  tradition of going to the temple with my family in the morning of the new year. I miss the midnight prayer. I have always love those moments and now that I am older, I appreciate those moments even more.

On the new year day itself, I went out to lunch with my cousin and that's about it. No big celebration. Sigh... The downfall of being away from my main family. However, my family always make sure I don't feel left out and they sent me quite a few pictures. Gahhh... my niece... she melts my heart. Here's some pics of her doing the greeting for the new year.

The Wirianta's family.

And, yes, on this side of the world, on that day I was wearing red as well. Here's to a prosperous year filled with good health and many blessings. :)

Now, let's get on to card shall we. I have this card for i {heart} papers that I want to share.

CardMaker & Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to CardMaker & Technique Tuesday Kick Off To Summer Blog Hop. You should have arrived here from Summer Fullerton blog. In case you missed any link you can find the complete list on CardMaker blog.

I was so excited when I found out that we're teaming up with Technique Tuesday. I've been a fan of TT for the longest time. Am pretty obsessed with their Ali Edwards sets.  I love using them for my scrapbook. Anyway, for today's hop, I get to play with their new sets Hello Friend by Ali Edwards and Say It - Happy set.

With summer theme in mind, I turn to bright, cheerful color for my first card:

And, I couldn't stop at just 1 card. I made another card, this time a mini one and super simple.

I love making mini card. I usually give all my mini cards to my SIL as she likes to use them for her cookies an cupcakes delivery (she owns her own bakery).

I hope you enjoy today's hop and join us for a day of fun & inspiration. From here please hop on over to Jaclyn Miller.  Thank you for stopping by here and happy Memorial Day weekend!

Watercolor Fun

Growing up I remember that I love playing with watercolor. Not that I am good at it. I just love playing with it. :)

I made this card a while back for a submission. It didn't get picked up, but it was a fun card to make using the blowing with straw technique.

The sentiment is from one of my favorite Technique Tuesday stamp set called Loving Words by Ali Edwards. I simply heat embossed the sentiment and then drop some watercolor droplets and gently blowing through a straw to spread the color. And... tada.....

Super quick and simple card to make. By the way, i {heart} papers just added some more new stuff to the store. You can check them all out HERE. May your Tuesday be a great one. :)

Z Becky Brown and CardMaker Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to Z Becky Brown and CardMaker blog hop. I am glad you can join us. You should arrive here from Cheryl Walker. In case you're missing any link, you can find  the complete list at CardMaker blog.

When we first get the notification for the hop, I was really curious as this was my first time hearing about the company. But, as I browse their site, I got excited just looking at all the options they have.

You have the option to pick ready to use background or create your own. For my ready to use background, I picked this cute & cheerful tropical theme. I just love this! Isn't it super cute?

Next, I play with creating my own scheme. I love collecting cute stuff. In high school and college I used to collect book mark, trolls (yes, those cute thing with colorful hair), and other random stuff. If it's cute, has animal image or word of wisdom, I like to collect them.

So, for my first cover, I created this cover that said, "You Are My Happy Place". Pretty much this tote box would hold those cute stuff that do take me to my happy place just by looking at them. I used the patterned paper from Heidi Grace collection and the dies and stamp from Papertrey Ink Phrase Play #1 set.

I had so much fun playing with this, that I decided to create a second cover. As much as I am a homebody, one of my passion is travelling. Whether it's in the States or abroad, hubby and I made it a point to go somewhere new every year. I love learning new cultures, see new places. I think travelling open your world and your mind.

And, when we  travel we always collect souvenirs, maps, tickets, and other memorabilia. So, for my second box cover, I created a travel theme. I can store those memorabilia in here till it's ready to go into our scrapbook. For this one, I used Elle's Studio patterned paper and Technique Tuesday Geotags set.

Seriously, the possibilities are endless. Wouldn't it be cool to create one for your kids? Each of them can have their special handbag?

And, Z Beck Brown handbags are made in USA and they are God's creation friendly, made  of a renewable resource & eco friendly natural polymer which comes from the sap of pine trees.

I hope you enjoy today's hop and find lots of inspirations. From here please hop on over to Z Becky Brown. Thank you so much for stopping by here and may your week starts off wonderfully!

PS: If you'd like to get your very own Z Becky Brown handbag they have a sale going on right now. See below.

Hello Friend

On Friday, I came home to a surprise goodies from Technique Tuesday. I was so excited! I love TT stamps and can't resist to play with the sets right away and made this card:

Simple and sweet, just the way I like it. I am hoping that I can manage to squeeze in some time to do Project Life (or in my case I actually doing vacation pics) and using lots of TT sets. I ordered several sets that's perfect for our travel pics.

I don't know when I will find the time to do it, but I will try!! It's one of my goal for 2014 to get at least half of our travel pics in an album. I have started here and there, but there's still lots and lots of works to be done.

What's your paper c rafting goal for 2014? Have you started yet?

I'm So Very Lucky

Hi peeps, happy Thursday! Today, I am sharing a card I made for my one and only using goodies from i {heart} papers.

This card reflect the way I feel for hubby, although after I finish it, I am pretty sure it reflects the way our puppies feel for him as well. ;) Hm... yeah, in case you don't know, our household is doggy crazy household.

Last year, when I went through hard period with Ollie, my 15 year old pug, hubby was there through it all. Taking care of Ollie wasn't an easy task and we have lots of cleaning and caring to do and my hubby did it all. It meant a lot to me, because Ollie was mine to start with. But, that girl got hubby wrapped around her paw since we got together and we both feel his love for us.

So, yes, I feel very lucky to have him as my partner in life. He's thoughtful and kind. I know some people took his kindness for granted, but I want him to know that the puppies and I do not take him for granted and we appreciate him.

Now, enough gushing. Let's talk about the stuff I used to make this card. The patterned paper is from Pebbles Walnut Grove 6x6 paper pad. This pad has so many beautiful patterned paper that I had a hard time making that first cut. Do you ever have that issue with patterned paper? Please tell me I am not the only one with that issue. ;)

The sentiment block is from the new Technique Tuesday Label by Ali Edwards set. I am a fan of anything and everything created by Ali. And the cute puppy is from Paper Smooches Woofers & Tweeters set. Enamel dots from Doodlebug.

Also, I have a project up on CardMaker blog. If you would please kindly check it out, I would so appreciate it. Thank you for your visit and have a fabulous day! xo

Stencil Day 2

Hi peeps... today I am back with my post for i {heart} papers. And, it also double as my homework from Online Card Classes Stenciled Day 2. I can't tell you how much I love this class!

Without further delay, here's my card. Again, I created my own diagonal stencil, which I used to create the sketchy background.

The result is a cute and cheerful card. My kind of card. :) The cute fox as you know it is from Lawn Fawn Into The Woods set and the sentiment is from one of my favorite Technique Tuesday set called Simply You  by Ali Edwards (which is currently on sale at i {heart} papers, if you need an incentive... hah!).

Oh yes... currently I am also addicted to gold accent. I've been adding them to various projects I am working on. You betcha that you'll see more gold popping on my cards.

Now... new stuff! When There She Goes Stamp closed many of us who belong in their DT were feeling blue and missing the naughty-ness that TSG bring through their stamps. I love that they have sets that naughty but cute and fun at the same time. Well, as we're chatting and lamenting the fact that now we don't have naughty stuff anymore.... someone suggested that we should create a Naughty or Nice challenge blog. Just for fun.

We know card makers are good peeps, but I bet many of us have naught side, too, right? So, this challenge blog would be the place for you to show us either your goody, goody nice side or your who-me-naughty? side. ;) Sounds fun? Stay tune.... First challenge will be up on February 1st!!

That's it from me and tomorrow I''ll share another card from Online Card Classed Stenciled Day 3. Enjoy your day!

Simply The Best Pup

If you have followed my blog for a while, you know how much I love puggies. Ever since I moved to the States and considering getting my own dog, I always know I wanted a pug. People would ask me, did I own a pug growing up? Nope. In fact, I don't think I ever see any pug the whole time I grew up in Indonesia.

I do remember seeing one on my uncle's t-shirt. That's about it. Before I got Ollie, who was my 1st pug, I read and learned about them as much as I can. I want to make sure we're compatible. :) Well, that love continue to grow. So far I have been owned by 3 puggies. And, it's contagious! My mom also have a pug.

So, when I thought of doing a photo card, of course like everyone else, I turned to my kid. So, here's Eli on the cover of my photo card.

This pic was taken like a day or two after we got him. He's such an adorable bundle of joy. I miss the time when he's this tiny. He's such a good puppy. I don't gushing much about my puggy, do I? ;)

Let's chat about the card a bit, shall we. I made this card using goodies from i {heart} papers. The patterned paper is from Echo Park Bundle of Joy Girl and the sentiment stamp is from Technique Tuesday Simply You by Ali Edwards set. To stamp on the photo paper, I used Memento Luxe Wedding Dress White

Have you tried, Memento Luxe? They are awesome. The color is so rich and stamp so well. i {heart} papers carry all the colors, so check them out!

Thanks for stopping by here and don't forget only 8 more days left to send in your cards for Caring  Hearts Card Drive.

And, for a smile enjoy this little lesson about pug. :)

You Are My Greatest Joy

Happy humpday! Phew.. it's only Wednesday? I feel like I haven't slow down for even a bit since last Friday. I've been go, go, go. I feel like my brain keep whirling. Hah...

Well, all those brain activity, also produce this bright card that I made for i {heart} papers using the super adorable chipmunk from Lawn Fawn Into The Woods set.

I am sooo loving this sunburst background, which I cut using Mr. C (Silhouette cameo). I traced stickles on each side of the sun rays to give some extra details.  The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday Loving Words set by Ali Edwards.

I decided to do the sentiment sideways, which I think added the fun  feature on this card. What do you think? Yay? Nay? I just didn't want to cover the sunburst.

BTW, there's more new stuff added at i {heart} papers. Go check them out!

Well, that's all for me right now. Another buy day at the office waiting. Enjoy your humpday! :)

Bring Sunshine To The Lives Of Others

Good morning everyone! How was your weekend? I hope you all have a good one.

I had a pretty creative weekend. Made some cards, but also do some chillin' and went out to brunch with some girlfriends. Also, after talking to my cousin, I decided to give  massage therapy a try to help me with my jaw and hand pain. It's almost like acupressure. The lady is really good, she pointed out all my problem area and what I need to do to ease the pain.

I still have to go back a few more times, but just from the 1st visit, I could feel a difference, especially on my hand. So, we'll see and cross my fingers I can finally feel normal. Not fun living with pain, even though it's not super painful, it's there and you kind of just deal with it. And I do prefer to try natural fix when I can instead of taking medicine. So, really hoping this will works.

Anyway, let's move on to card. I have this fun card to share for my i {heart} paper post. Have I told you how much I love ikat print? Hah... like a gazillion times??

Isn't the color combo so cool? I love the way this card turned out. The ikat pattern is from Wplus9 Background & Borders 1. The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday. Currently i {heart} papers don't have this set in stock, but there are plenty of Technique Tuesday set that's available including the new releases. So, check out the store.

I just love this sentiment. It's one of the sentiment that I use as guidance or as reminder in my own life.

BTW, you see that strip of patterned paper? Guess how old is that paper?? Yep, it's an oldie alright. From my scrap paper stash, it's from 2003-2004. ** blush**.... yes, I keep paper that old. Some papers just harder to get rid off. Hah...

Thank you for stopping by here and hope your week starts off fabulously!! Counting down to long weekend! 4 more days to go.... :)

May You Always Walk In Sunshine

I have to say the Irish have a way with sayings or shall I say blessings. There's just something about the wording that makes me feel warm & fuzzy. And when I get a chance to create card using the Irish blessing it makes me super happy.

I made this card inspired by Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger: I'm Craving Navy and Wplus9 Monday Mood Board #18.

I was staring at this chevron patterned paper while looking at the inspiration pics. And the vase of green on top of the drawers caught my eyes and it makes me think of mixing graphic pattern with floral set. I was thinking what if I mix this patterned with the flowers from Wplus9 Fresh Cut Florals while keeping to the navy theme? And the results is this:

Now & then I made card with results that totally makes me giddy. This is one of them. I think this floral set is my muse. Whenever I use this set, I always end up with something that I am totally happy with. Best flower set out there. (note: if you don't hav this set, run and get it. i {heart} papers have them in stock) And then, when I was looking for which sentiment to use, this Irish blessing from Technique Tuesday caught my attention and I was like this is it! Totally wasn't planning on it, but I am happy that I did. This card makes me smile.

Here's pic of the flower cluster close-up. I curled a couple of the pieces and adhere them with thick pop-dots, a couple with thin pop-dots and the rest directly to card with regular glue to create depth.

My mom loves flower, so this pretty card will go to my dear mom who is currently enjoying being a grandma. Well, that's it from me and I'll leave you with this Irish blessing:

May you always walk in sunshine.
May you never want for more.
May Irish angles rest their wings right beside your door.

Puppy Update & Moxie Fab

As I mentioned on previous post, on Wednesday, my li'l boy, Eli got snip snip. He's doing okay, but in a daze the whole evening afterwards. I feel worried about him, that I decided that for the night, he could sleep with us so I can watch over him closely.

Well, yeah... as it turned out, that means mommy didn't get any sleep. First time he woke up, I thought it was closer to 4am, oh no.... it was only 11.30pm. So, it was a looooong night for Eli's mommy. Eli's daddy was sleeping hard. I stayed home yesterday, but didn't get much thing done (I was supposed to finish our taxes) as it was my turn to be in a daze. ;)

Here's a look at him as he snuggle away by my desk in my scrapbook room. I just love this li'l guy so much.

Anyway, I might not finish our taxes, but I did manage to finish  a card for Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger: Three Little Birds. Gee... I got my priority in order, don't I? I mean, when the inspiration picture is bird related, how could I not play?

Here's my hybrid card. Combining digital patterned paper with Technique Tuesday stamp, which in case you haven't notice is my favorite at the moment.

I love the way this card turned out. Debating whether I should just frame it or not. Hm.... decision, decision. That's it from me today. Thank you all so much for stopping by here and for all your lovely comments. I really appreciate your kind words. Have a blessed Friday everyone.

Sunshine

Happy Friday!! Yikes.... before I know it, this week has flown by so fast and I have missed blogging almost the whole week. Been totally in spring cleaning mode, so I've been busy cleaning & trying to re-organize my room.

I cleaned up my stash quite a bit and I found good home for all the goodies. I am sending the stash to Kelly Latevola, who currently collecting crafty goodies to help her friend Angie who lost everything in an apartment fire. Please check out Kelly's blog post if you are interested to help out.

Now the cleared up space didn't last long at all. Hah! I have quite a few new stuff coming in thanks to a couple fabulous gift certificate that I won recently. This time I ordered a few sets that's been on my wish list for a while. A couple of my favorite sets are Technique Tuesday Ali Edwards Summer sentiment set and this Hummingbird set from Kaiserkraft.

Challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

I just love, love, love them! The font combination in Ali Edward's sentiment designs always make my heart beat faster. Yes... that's how much I love her designs. :) And how  true is that sentiment? In case  you are wondering, no I don't work for Technique Tuesday, I simply believe in gushing about products that I do love. I only have a few of Ali's sets but every time I used them I cannot help but feeling wow, I love this and it's so great that you can use her set for card as well as for scrapbooking. I have a long wish list for Ali Edwards set. Hm... when is my birthday?? Sigh... still months away.

And that birdie stamp?? Make my heart pitter patter, too. For some of you who have followed  my blog for awhile you know how much I love bird stamps. The moment I saw this one I know I have to have it.

Now, since I didn't post anything this past few days, we can play catch up, right? How about 2 cards for 1 day? This next card is a card I  made for Hero Arts flower challenge. Yep, my rare moment where I use flowers for my card. I always find them pretty but challenging to use.

Note to self: have to remember to try stamping with white on colored cardstock more often.

Thank you all so much for stopping by here and just an an fyi, we will have a big & fun blog hop coming this weekend as Lily Pad Cards celebrating their 1st birthday! Hope you will join us & help us celebrate.

I wish you all a day full of sunshine.

Home For The Holidays

Hi there. When I started in stamping, like many stampers I started with Hero Arts stamp. So, I am excited to play with the new Hero Arts Win...
