Rainbow Heart Welcome

Hi peeps. Today we have new challenge at SugarPea Designs. This time, we're feeling sentimental. Create any project where the sentiment takes center stage.

I have a friend who just had a baby and I made this with her in mind.

SugarPea supplies: Bundle of Joy, Welcome Baby

It's not quite your typical soft color baby card. The colors on this card are definitely more cheerful & contemporary. I hope she'll love this card.

I hope you will play along with us! The other SugarPeas has created some fabulous inspiration for this challenge. Check it out HERE. Thank so much for stopping by here.

Newton's Nook Designs June Release

Hi everyone! I am so excited to be guest designing for Newton's Nook Designs this month. Expecially, since I get to work with some really cute critter stamps!

First up, is "In Slow Motion" set. There are several cute images on this set. One of them is a sloth. I think sloth is adorable. I don't know if you have seen a youtube video from a sloth sanctuary in Costa Rica, they made the cutest sound. They're such gentle animal. So, needless to say, I know right away this is the image that I want to work with.

Adorable, right? Now, would you like to win "In Slow Motion"? This set will be given away to one lucky winner.

Here's how to win:

Persian Motifs

I finally, finished my card that I made using Altenew Persian Motifs. I had this set in my pile for a couple of weeks, before I finally get to play with it.

Sometime, I want a set so badly, then when I got it, somehow my mind just went blank. So, just to get me going, I decided to recreate my old card HERE, only this time using the Persian Motifs. I am not normally one to repeat a card design, but hey, as long as the design is pretty, why not, right?

Hah... Only after I am almost done with this card, that other idea of what I can do to varies the design came up. I don't feel like re-doing the card, so I'll try that other idea on the next card. For now, I stick with this.

In case you're wondering what I used to color this image, I used Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush. I got this set about 5 years ago at summer CHA and it still works wonderfully. I created the original card with this pens as well.

That's all for today. May your weeks starts off wonderfully!

A Special Wish

Hello there. How's your weekend? Hope you have a lovely one.

I spent my Friday evening & Saturday morning snuggling with the puppies and did a Grey's Anatomy season 1 marathon. Sigh... I do so love Grey's Anatomy. Watching season 1, makes me miss Yang & Derek even more. Then on Sunday, we had a lovely brunch at my SIL's place. I love my SIL, Kristen. She is just one of those lovely person. I often call her the Martha Stewart, because she's one very talented, creative person & she's a really good cook. Unlike me.

This kind of weekend is my favorite kind of weekend. Just laid back and catching up with people I love. Oh, and of course... I get to play with paper & stamps quite a bit, too. Have to take advantage of some of those free time, right?

Now, so often, when I play with a stamp set, I tend to play a lot with the main image and forgot to play with the side/embellishment image. Well, this time, I decided to focus on the side images and making them the center of attention. :)

Crafter's Companion supplies: Kimono Butterfly Silk,
Spectrum Noir: CG3, FS4

I am pretty happy with the way the card turn out. It's clean & simple, just the way I like it. :) Well, that's all I have today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, peeps!

Sweet2Repeat Blog Hop

Hi all and welcome to SugarPea Designs Sweet2Repeat blog hop. By now, hopefully you have some of the SPD sets that were released back in May. Well, to give you more inspirations,  the SugarPea team has put together some new projects that will inspire you with even more creative possibilities featuring the newest SugarPea Designs stamp sets and SugarCut dies.

I chose to play with the Tee-riffic set, since I am trying to build up my golf theme card collection.

Love this cute guy. Simply by adding fun pattern to the hat, you could so totally dress him up! I also find myself using the SugarCuts Polaroid Journal Card quite a bit. It just such a nifty dies to use to anchor any image.

Now, no hop is complete without a giveaway. Simply check out what the team has created and leave comment along the way and who knows, you could be the lucky one to win a $20 gift certificate to the store. You have till midnight, Sunday, June 14, 2015 to comment. Winner will be announced on Monday on SugarPea Designs blog.

BTW, right now "SUMMER SALE" is going on, on SugarPea store. Check it out! Sale ends, midnight, this Sunday.

Thank you so much for stopping by here and my you all have a fantastic Friday!

Destination Collection

Hi peeps. Popping in to share the latest release from Crafter's Companion. Today they are launching a new collection called Destination that is perfect for summer travel theme project. Here's what I came up with using images from Spirit of Adventure set & Hello and Goodbye set.

I had fun getting inky & layering images in making this card. I colored the background with distress inks and colored the frame and birds using Spectrum Noir. You can check out the new Destinations collection from Crafter’s Companion US HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by here.

MFT Sketch 232

Hi peep! It's time for new MFT Sketch Challenge. Here's the sketch for your inspiration.

At first, I wasn't quite sure how to do this sketch. I was thinking of doing windows with some critters peeking out. But, that idea went out the window (hah... did you catch that??), as I want to do something that still represent the sketch but in a more creative way.

Well, thank goodness for The Whole Herd set. I love stacking them and as you can see they represent the sketch in a pretty darn cute way, if I may say so myself.

As you can seem when playing with sketch, you don't necessarily have to follow it 100%. You don't have to use flower just because there's flower on the sketch. Just be open to any possibilities and you can end up with fun results.

I also want to do a quick shout out to my teammate Erin Lee Schreiner who welcome a new baby girl yesterday. Congratulations, Erin and wishing you and your family lots and lots of happiness. Welcome to the world, baby Quinn.

Now, check out what the MFT team has created for this challenge HERE and come play along!

Kimono Butterfly Silk

This weekend, I am totally in coloring mode and finished 6 cards. Love it, when things goes smoothly and everything comes together easily.

Like I said previously, I tend to do cute stuff. But, I made an exception for this Kimono Butterfly Silk beauty from Crafter's Companion.

Crafter's Companion supplies: Kimono Butterfly Silk,
Spectrum Noir: TN1, TN, BT2, BT3, CG1, CG3, CR1,
CR10, FS4, IG8, IG10, TB1, TB2

I decided not to add any sentiment on this. I recently need a quick card and surprise, surprise, I couldn't quite find a card that I need. This is when I decided that some blank, no sentiment card is needed, so I can use it for any occasion. :)

I also didn't want to re-stamped the birdcage as in person you could actually see the birdcage in the soft blue color. In case you couldn't quite see it, it's on the top left corner of the card.

Well, that's all for this afternoon. Just want to share this card, since I am darn happy with the way it turned out. Enjoy the rest of your evening, peeps!

Duckies Warm Wishes

Now, who could resist cute little duckies? Not me. I am a sucker for anything cute and adorable. Today, I want to share this cute duckies from Purple Onion Designs latest new release.
.

And, just a reminder that today, June 7th, is the last day you can get the complete set of Sweet Occasions Collection for $100. This is a 30% discount of the regular price and today is the last day to take advantage of this offer.

Later today, we plan on seeing The Entourage today. That's hubby favorite series, so, of course, we have to see the movie. Afterward, I plan (or let's say I am hoping) to get lots of crafting done. How about you? How are you spending your Sunday? Have anything fun plan? Whatever it is, I wish you all a blessed & happy Sunday. :)

Patchwok Boo

Hi there. Am popping up to share this cutie patootie ghost courtesy of Spellbinder's Felt Patchwork Boo Etched Dies by Nichol Spohr . I...
