Peep-tastic 2

This post marks my last day with Avocado Arts. Like many things in life, sometime changes just need to happen. And Avocado Arts have many exciting things planned behind the scene, so I am sure you'll see many crafty goodness from them.

Through AA I have met some girls that I consider as good friends and I am grateful for that.

To Michelle & Lisa thank you so much for the opportunity you have given me. It's been a pleasure working with you both. With that note, here's my card for AA:

The big bunny peep is one of my favorite from AA. I think he's fun and hey, guess what?? He's also sugar free. So do the mini ones. Hah....

Check out what the Pit Crew has created for you today.

And, I have another card to share. The 1st of the month also mean it's time for new Some Odd Girl's March sketch challenge. You can find the challenge HERE and you have one whole month to play along. Here's my card using the cute daschund from Preppy Pups set.

After pulling out my chalk sets earlier this month, I kind of loving using the chalk technique to color my puppy. It  totally cut the coloring time. :)

Have a fabulous Friday everyone!

Peep-Tastic

Last day of February! Imagine that, we already passed 2 months into 2013. Where did the time go?

I guess time flies when you have tons of things on your to do list. March is going to be a super busy month for me. Lots of exciting new stuff coming up. Paper craft wise and work wise. At work, we have quite a few new constructions going up. So being the only office gal I know my boss going to pile lots of stuff on me. Not complaining though. I love my job and even though we're only a small team we all work well together.

Now, for today I have a sweet card to share with you using Avocado Arts Spring Medley set. I already finished the card when I thought that I should have at least do one yellow peep.

Does this makes you crave some peeps? :) Hope you have a peep-tastic day.

Special Delivery

Before I have doggies, I have bunnies. Well, I mean we have family dogs, but my very first pet that belong to me was a bunny. And, I was born in the year of the rabbit, so I guess I will always be partial to rabbit. Besides, if you ever watch Bambi (I love, love, love Thumper), how could you not love bunny??

Why are we talking about bunnies you ask? Well, it's because I am sharing a sneaky peeky look at the upcoming March set from Avocado Arts. And, literally my bunnies are peeking from the postage frame.

I think so far this is my favorite Avocado Arts card. Very happy with the way this card turned out. Plenty of white space. Check. Fun color combo. Check. Bunnies. Check. :)

And guess what??? It's the 15th, which means today is also Avocado Arts blog hop day and we're giving away these cute sets.

Simply check out what the Pit Crew has created for today's hop and leave comment along the way.

A Special Thank You

Today is a busy day for me. I have 3 post to share today. Here's my first post for the day. :)

Introducing Avocado Arts "Special Delivery" set.

Well, I supposed to show this set on my January 30th post, but my mind was so scattered then as I was focus with work that I completely missed it. Whoopsy daisy.... I do have it correctly today. :) Here's my card using this set:

Totally one layer card. A little masking & then simply coloring it all with Copic markers.

At this moment, if anyone deserve a special thank you that would be my husband. Work wise been so busy and stressful and I probably hasn't  been a very happy camper and hubby been so understanding. I do take my work seriously. My boss was wondering why I am stress out. The answer is doing my job correctly & efficiently matters to me. And handling 60-70 houses (I am in new construction business) can be overwhelming at times.

Yep... I think I have to tuck in this card for hubby. For being patient when his wife being grumpy. ;)

Please check out what the Pit Crew has created using this set.

Hi There

Hi there folks. How's your week going? Mine is cray... cray... Finishing all those last minute tax stuff for work, I have to double up on my coffee dose.

Speaking about coffee, I am recently found out that a couple of my card making friends are also into collecting Starbucks coffee cup that has city name & skyline. Hubby already had Houston & Chicago ones when we first dated. Then when we went on vacation we thought that would make good souvenir that we'll actually used and from then on our collection slowly grow.

I accidentally broke my Seattle cup a few month ago. Then to my delight, my awesome CHA roommates, Aj Otto gave me a Seattle one and Latisha Yoast gave me one from Florida! Double whammy of awesomeness!

Maybe that's why I kind of more partial to play with coffee cup image more than tea cup image?? Because I've been surrounded by coffee goodness? This set from Avocado Arts Perfect Blend has both coffee cup & tea cup images, but so far, I kept reaching for the coffee cup.

As you can see I am trying to use more patterned paper on my card. I have to say it's fun especially when I can still manage to make it CAS the way I like it. Totally into mini card right now. This card is only 2.75" x 4". Am entering this to Moxie Fab itty bitty card challenge.

Check out what my team mate has created for more inspirations, Ashley Harris & Cristal Hobbs. Thank you for stopping by here.

Birthday Cup

Hi everyone. Today I am heading back home and knowing myself, by today my brain would be overloaded with ideas and I'll be working on a long wish list. Hah... the downfall of CHA, you always, always end up with long wish list. Hoping I'll be able to catch up on stuff and share my CHA pics and experience with you sometime this week.

Now, I have a mini card made using Avocado Arts sets. The paper is from my old, old, stash. Let's see maybe from 2003? Sad, isn't it? Anyway, I love the pastel colors with some pop of bright colors.

For this card, I used the coffee cup from Perfect Blend set, sentiment from Avocado Style Border & Sentiment, xoxo border from Sweet Treat Sweetie, and a sneaky peek from upcoming February set. Yes, I was proud of myself that I was able to used 4 different set to make this card. :)

I know my the Pit Crew has created some fab eye candy for you. So, please check out my team mate creations and don't forget to leave comments as we have 3 Avocado Arts set to giveaway. Check out Avocado Arts for the giveaway detail. Thank you for stopping by here.

Thanks A Latte

Phew... Have I been quiet this week or what? Sometime, you just need to take time for yourself and take time off from crafting. Which I did. I get to hang out with my girlfriends, make new friends, and visiting my cousin who just welcome a new bundle of joy.

And, some time to just chill after a busy week at work. I work for a home builder company and we have lots of people want to close their home before the end of the year, so hubby and I been working like crazy to make sure all the houses closed on time.

Anyway, this weekend I get crafty for a little bit and made this card for my last post of the year for Avocado Arts using their January "Perfect Blend" set.

That yummy double sided color ribbon is from May Arts in case you are wondering. I just love the hot pink and the green combo.

I love this coffee cup stamp. Maybe because I am a coffee drinker. ;) Wouldn't this be cute to give to someone to thank them for whatever reason and include a Starbuck gift card?

My team mates has created some fab eye candy for you all. Please check them out.

Your Friendship Warms My Heart

Happy Satuday lovely peeps. Today the Pit Crew is sharing loads of fun projects where you could also see sneak peek of the upcoming January set.

Here's my card using this month "Smitten With You" set and a couple stuff from next month set. Can you  guess the theme for next month set?

I love the way this card turned out even though at first I wasn't sure where I was going with this card. I find this periwinkle blue is a hard color to work with, but I am on a mission to use more of the stash I have since I am on paper diet. :)

And with some American Crafts glitter paper and some red ink, I think the result was pretty fun & cute. And, we have more inspiration line up for you. Please check out the Pit Crew creations and don't forget to leave comments as we're giving away these sets. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

You Warm My Heart

Happy December! Ah... season of joy. And cold weather. But in my opinion, cuteness can always warm your heart. :) Here's my card using the newest set from Avocado Arts "Smitten With You".

The penguin actually come with feet. But, I kind of liking the look without the feet.  It has its own charm this way. Here's a look at the full set:

Please check out what the Pit Crew has created using this set.

How's your weekend shaping out? I have pretty long to do list for this weekend. Our washer kind of crappy and we've been pushing our luck with it. Today, we're finally getting a new washer. So, we'll be waiting for it to be delivered and installed. Then we'll get to try out the new washer of course. Have a couple loads of laundry waiting. Next a visit to post office to pick up more cards for the card drive & swinging by the library across the street. Hubby and I love our library and they have their book sale this weekend. I want to pick up some book for paper crafts projects.

Also, I have to organize, sorting and packing the cards. For those of you who sent out your cards this week, no worries, your cards will go to my local nursing home. What else. Hm, working on submission, cleaning up the house, working on CHA stuff for May Arts, etc., etc., etc. I have 48 hours to accomplish all the stuff on my list. :) Over achiever syndrome or simply nuts? Hope you all have a great weekend.

Penguin Snowglobe

Yikes... it's the end of the month already! I am so behind on so many things. Between works and Caring Hearts Card Drive, I am spread thin. I haven't even start on our own family Christmas card. And, I guess as card maker, I feel guilty if I buy ready made cards. Do you feel that way?

Anyway, the card drive will end soon. I know quite a few just mailed out their card this week and no worries, I'll wait for your cards. I am amazed and humbled by everyone's support for the card drive. Chapel Card Makers group sent 120 cards!! And quite a few individuals generously sent in 40 to 65 cards each. And a couple get their kids involve and my friend from Sweden Karin Akesdotter had her students joined the effort and their messages are so sweet & touching.

I wish I can send thank you note to everyone! Please know how much I appreciated your support, generosity, and kindness. When I started this 3 years ago, I wasn't even sure if I will received a response. And our crafty community showed me that I should have more faith. As we're reaching 1200 cards (which I am sure we'll passed soon), I am filled with so much gratitude. Thank you.

Now, let me share another card I made for the card drive. This one using the latest set from Avocado Arts called Smitten With You. PS: in case you don't know, today's the last day for free shipping on any order over $30 from Avocado Arts.

Now, who wouldn't love a penguin and snow globe? I love both and collect them both. I am crazy about penguin. In fact on my last trip to Chicago's Shedd Aquarium with my mom, I ended up with this cute li'l fella. Yes, I am one those people that still collect stuff animal even though I am on my 30s. It's love at first sight. With his pom-pom beanies I know he has to come home with me the moment I saw him.

Photo: This right now makes me smile. :)

With this cuteness, I am sending you over to my team mates. Check out what they have created using this new set.

Warm Winter Wishes With AA

We're finally getting some cooler weather here in Houston. It's pretty nice, except when you have to take the dogs out in the morning at 4am!! Yep, my old lady, Ollie who is  going on 15 years old like to wake us up that early. And we have to get up as she won't stop barking till we do.

On top of the dog barking, this week poor hubby didn't get much sleep since he's been dealing with super bad toothache  A visit to the dentist and some deep cleaning later, hubby face is swollen and he's in s much pain. He has a hard time sleeping as the pain keep him awake. :( Really praying that it will heal soon.

On a much lighter note, I do have a cutie card to share with you. And, psst... my card has a sneak peek of the Avocado Arts December set. Ah... penguin make me happy. I love Happy Feet not because of the story, but just so I can stare at those cute baby penguins! Hm... I get distracted easily, huh? Here's the card:

And guess what I used for the bow tie? The thingy for the kite from Perfectly Perfect Day set (not sure what you called it, so I assume thingy is the right word *wink*). Yeah, I am pretty impressed with myself that I remember to used that itty bitty little piece. Call it the simple pleasure of life. I get excited when I get to combine several sets in one card, even if it means using 1 itty bitty item. :)

That's it from me today and please check out what the Pit Crew has created for today's hop. Oh, did I mention we have a giveaway with the hop? We're giving away 3 mini sets and you can check all the details at Avocado Arts blog. Thank you for stopping by here.

Cozy Fireplace & Glittery Tree

Happy November! Wow, do you realize that we're less than 2 months away from Christmas? Sometime I really feel like time flies and I wonder where it went.

To start off November, I have another holiday card made with Avocado Arts November set called "Very Merry Season". And, I am loving American Crafts glitter tape, so I am using them to make the tree for this card.

I love the coziness of this fireplace design. And top it off with glittery Christmas  tree... yum. Oh, not to mention plenty of white space. I love white space. Yummy CAS-ness, I dare say. ;)

Please check out what the Pit Crew has created using this fab set. And, tomorrow, please join me for Caring Hearts Blog Hop. Many fantastic ideas and lots of prizes!! See you tomorrow.

Very Merry Season

Hi everyone! As Caring Hearts Card Dive continue, so is my attempt to make as many holiday card as possible. Slowly, package of cards are rolling in. And, I know with November coming, more cards will coming as well.

Today, I am here to share a holiday card I made using Avocado Arts "Very Merry Season" set. I combined this set with the snowman from Brrr! and the Nerdy Snow Peeps.

My snowman is not afraid of fire. :) Hah... My snowman is like me. We like the warmth that radiate from fireplace. Being in Texas we don't get to use our fireplace that often, but when we do I enjoy it very much.

The Pit Crew has created some more eye candy for you, so please check out their creations.

Psst..., did you see THIS? I am so thrilled to see that my vintage Christmas card is up on Paper Crafts magazine blog today. LOL, I remember how the PC peeps were surprised when  they found out that's my card (they do blind judging for submission, so they only see the name after the cards being selected) as that's so NOT my typical CAS & cute. Trust me, I was shock, too.

Now, that's a way  to start a day in a cheerful note. Happy & blessed. :)

Fall Leaves

Happy October, lovely peeps! Are enjoying the lovely fall colors on your neck of the wood? I wish I could say that I am enjoying fall colors on my end, but there's not much fall colors here, except brown. No pretty mix of yellow, red, orange, etc.

But, I definitely can do fall leaves color on my card. :) Here's my CAS card using the leaves from Avocado Arts Gobble Till You Wobble set.

I simply colored each leave with distress marker and then stamp it to the card. And... what do you know... today we actually have fall weather in Houston. It's a nice change after the hot weather we have to endure in the summer. Hubby who grew up in Michigan, definitely loving this cooler weather.

Hope your October starts off wonderfully and may this month be a great month for you. Happy fall! And from here, please check out what the Pit Crew has created for you.

Geeky Turkey

Hi everyone and happy Sunday! Hope you have a good weekend so far.

It was a rainy Saturday here in Houston, so my mom and I spent the day shopping. have I told you that I'll be an aunt soon? Yep.. yep.. my li'l brother is going to be a daddy in just a few more months and they have just found out (even tough they've been guessing about it) that they will have a girl!!

So, needless to say, my mom and I start looking for girl stuff. :) We call the baby, li'l sunshine. This will be the first grandchild for my mom. The whole family is super excited. And yes... it's so hard not to go crazy shopping for baby stuff. So much cuteness....

We finished the day with a very nice family dinner with all my cousins which I enjoyed very much. It's nice to catch up with everyone and enjoying a good food at the same time.

Now, let's get down to card business, shall we? Today I am sharing a new project using Avocado Arts Gobble Till You Wobble set. You see the  turkey? Hah... it reminds me of my li'l brother when he was a toddler. My mom used to call him birdie with his big eyes and bald head. Just like the turkey. :)

This time I dressed up my naked turkey as geeky turkey. :)

I love fall colors in nature, but I have to admit that it's not my favorite color combo for card. I figure the pink color would liven up the card a bit. And, with that glasses I think my turkey looks pretty geeky cute. :)

My team mates has created some fabulous projects using this set. Check them out. Below is the list.

Thank you so much for stopping by here. Have a blessed Sunday everyone!

Inching By

Hi everyone and happy weekend. Can you believe it's already September? Before you know it, Christmas will be here. Sigh... time flies by so fast.

Today, I have another card from Avocado Arts using the latest release "Grateful Season". This time, I decided to do fun & cute CAS card.

Grateful For You

Good morning everyone. Today I am here to show you the September release from Avocado Arts, called Grateful Season.

I love the sunflower image from this set, so needless to say that's the image I use for my card. :)

Keeping it clean and simple. The cut file is so easy to line up with the stamp image. Love that! Now, the DT gals has created some fabulous eye candy using this set. Check  them out, will you.

Speaking about grateful, I am very grateful that my mom will be visiting me from Indonesia in a couple weeks. Yes, I am counting the days. Cannot wait to hug my mom again and of course, hubby and I are looking forward to my  mom's wonderful cooking!! Nothing like your own mom's cooking, isn't it? Well, unless a kid get me as their mom, that's a different story as I don't really cook. Hah.. yes, I am blessed that hubby is a good cook and doesn't mind cooking.

Oh, another wonderful news, last night, I found out that a while back There She Goes Stamps was showcasing some of my cards for their Trendsetting Spotlight, HERE. I couldn't believe that I missed it. They posted it on August 9. Yikes. This month I've been so swamped with works that I didn't get to visit all my favorite blogs as much as I want to. To TSG, thank you so much for the honor. I really wasn't expecting it and I do appreciate it very much.

I want to thank everyone who kindly visited my blog and appreciated your sweet comments. Thank you and have a blessed  day. :)

This is my first time using the Avocado Arts cut file and I love how easy it is  to use with the stamp. Everything line up perfectly and easily! LOVE it. Still shaking my head at why I didn't try to do that before.

Perfectly Perfect Day

Yikes, my Tuesday went by in a haze. I was so deep in allergy, I can barely function at work since I kept sneezing and have runny nose constantly. I don't think I can touch my nose anymore since it felt so raw. Yeah, I know it was bad, when I snap at my boss. Lucky for me, he likes me enough. Sigh... Here's hoping that Wednesday would be better.

Anyway, today the Avocado Arts Pit Crew is sharing more projects using the August set Perfectly Perfect Day. And here's my card. The picture didn't show it, but the white area is actually has linen impression, so it's really not that blank.

I am not 100% happy with this card, yet. Might end up adding more stuff to it later. But, right now with my stuffy nose I can't quite think.

Please check out what the girls created today and check out Avocado Arts blog as well for a free .SVG and .Studio file to download for an easel card. Have a happy Wednesday.

Home For The Holidays

Hi there. When I started in stamping, like many stampers I started with Hero Arts stamp. So, I am excited to play with the new Hero Arts Win...
