I actually have several coffee sentiments and I tried to make cards with them, but I keep coming back to my favorite coffee sentiment.

I am pairing the sentiment with the retro folk image from Riley &Company new release (available in their store starting tomorrow). I just thought the elegant image is so appropriate for this sentiment. You know, like the after effect after you have that first sip. You become more civil. ;)

I am still trying hard to give up coffee. Not very successful so far. I manage to not drink coffee for a week, than I get grumpy and give in and have that coffee again. Hah... Hubby probably would agree that this sentiment describe me on some mornings.

Paint Your Dreams

Many time, simplicity is the way to go. In life and in card. :)

I made this card featuring one of the sentiment from Riley & Company new release that will be available in store this Thursday.

I just love this saying. I remember my mom sent me this quote before: God gives us sleep so we can dream and He wakes us up, so we can make tour dream come true. That quote stuck in my head. I love quote that encourage us to live our life to the fullest, to go after our dream.

And, the dream catcher patterned paper is just the perfect background for this sentiment, isn't it? Love it when things work out like this.

Life Is Meant To Be Experienced

Oh December, we're already entering the second week of it. Seems like the pace of everything change during the season. Some days it seems like it fly by fast and some days slow. But, either way, it's good. I love December. :)

I am back with a couple cards today. First up is my card for Riley & Company new releases. There's tons of new stamps coming out (all will be available in the store on Thursday, Dec.11).

I love this saying. I think it's important to experience life. Someone told me before when you question about doing something, ask yourself, when you're old and sitting in a rocking chair, would you look back with regret? Would it matter? Then you'd know the answer. :)

Next, is my card for Purple Onion Designs featuring Birch the winter bunny & Cedar the fox.

Riley Thinking About You

Happy Sunday. I am popping in with a quick post as we started Riley & Company new release week. There are tons of new sentiments and retro folks for this releases.

I am short in time, so I am going with CAS. :)

I know many of you are waiting for the winner list for Caring Hearts Card Drive. Please be patiemt as we're trying to wrap things up. We received more cards than the previous 4 years combined. It's a good thing!! But, that also means lots of works sorting & packaging. I am hoping that I can post the winner list by Wednesday.

Am still waiting for the final list from all the girls that collect the cards. Thank you for your patience as we work hard to get these cards to their final destination. :)

A Moose & A Penguin

I love Thanksgiving week. The traffic is so much better and the short work week is always something to look forward to. I feel like knowing that I only have to work 2 and a half day makes me feel more energized. Hah...

Do you have any big plans for Thanksgiving? I am going to cousin's place for brunch and my SIL place for dinner. I have no plan to battle the Black Friday crowd. I find myself has no patience to hunt for parking and battling people. Online shopping in your pj is so much better. Besides, sometime I like to do things last minute. Christmas still a month away, what's the rush, right. LOL, this got me in trouble quite a few time.

Speaking about last minute, that's what happened with today's card. For Riley & Company they have recipe challenge this week. 3 patterned paper, 1 ribbon and 1 embellishment. When I saw that, I cringe. I don't use 3 pp on 1 card. So, naturally, I waited till the last minute to tackle this and came up with this card.

Yes, there's ribbon on this card. See that tiny silver ribbon tied on the button? I admire my friends who could do layers beautifully. Me, I am a simple & clean girl at heart. I Believe In Pink

Today we have a new challenge at Riley & Company. This time the theme is monochromatic pink in honor of breast cancer month.

And, I immediately thought of this quote by Audrey Hepburn, which is one of my favorite Riley & Company stamp.

I love this quote. I don't think this card need much embellishment. I just fussy cut a flower from a patterned paper and that's it. Keep it simple. :)

Yay, for cooler weather. Today's weather is simply gorgeous on our neck of the wood. Yes, sadly I can't enjoy it much as I am stuck inside my office. Crossing fingers that the weather stay gorgeous till the weekend, so I can totally enjoy it.

Well, today I am back with a Riley card to share. Actually, the new challenge is supposed to be Halloween theme, but I don't have any Riley & Company Halloween related stamp. So, I decided to do winter one. Besides, who says you can't dress up as if it's winter for Halloween? I know, I know.. I am stretching it. ;)

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! As the title shown, this hop if for everyone who's a coffee lover. So, get ready, grab your favorite cup of coffee and have fun celebrating National Coffee Day and browsing coffee related creativity!

I do have a favorite mug that I love to use and for those who's been following me for awhile, you can guess it, it's a pug cup! LOL... our family just a wee bit obsessed with pug. And, yep, we collect those Starbucks cup as well. Whenever we travel, we always try to get Starbucks cup from that city/country. I also have several kind of favorite coffee. In the summer I love ice latte with a shot of hazelnut or Baskin Robbins cappuccino blast. In the winter, I love hot cappuccino with lots of cinnamon sprinkle on top.

Sadly, nowadays, I have to limit my coffee intake due to health stuff. Trust me... it wasn't easy. There's day when my boss come in with Starbucks coffee in his hand and I'd look at it longingly. I still drink coffee now & then to keep me sane, but no longer the strong coffee like I used to, more like the watered down one.

When I first cut down, the sentiment like on my card totally rang true! Hah...

LOL... yep there's morning when I feel like saying this sentiment. And,that first sip of coffee can make a difference!! I simply love the taste and smell of coffee. Oh... in case you want this coffee sentiment stamp, it's from Riley & Company.

Riley & Company New Release Day 2

 Aahhh ... Monday. This weekend is way too short. I guess the saying, "So mmany stamps, so little time" is true. Hah... Yes, I have several new sets that waiting for me to play with.

However, this week is Riley & Company new release week, so I continue playing with the new stamps that Riley & Company sent me. As much as I prefer sending sweet cards to my friends, sometime it's fun to send a funny one. Like this one...

I have some girlfriends who I know would appreciate this card. ;) Not much needed for this card. The wine bottle says it all, right? To make the wine bottle shiny, I cover it with glossy accent.

Riley & Company New Release Day 1

Hello there and happy Sunday. I am popping in today to share a card I made for Riley & Company new releases. This week they will be releasing 49 new stamps and all will be available starting Thursday, September 25.

One of my favorite is this big & bold Christmas sentiment.

This card is super quick to make. Perfect for mass produce. Added a few sequins for festivity and taa...daa... you're done. I love the watercolor look.

Fun Get Together

You know what I love about this card making hobby? Plenty. From the many fabulous stamp sets to the pretty papers to the satisfaction of creating something. But, what I absolutely love is the friends I met through it.

Seriously, I'd have missed on so many good friends if I haven't been involve in card making. One of those friend is Tiffany Johnson, who I absolutely adore. She's down to earth, laid back, open, thoughtful, simply put my kind of gal. And, the kind of friend who'd rive 6 hours just to hangout with me! I love this girl.

We spent Thursday evening just catching up and Friday morning we started our day with a trip to JoAnn. Latisha Yoast supposed to come and join us, but couldn't make it, so, for fun we decided to surprise her with a flat Latisha and she accompany us on our CKC adventure. :)

I got such a kick when I saw that when I try to tag Tiffany on my FB pic, the suggestion that came up were my mom's name, my name and my brother's name. Apparently FB think we look alike and so does her kids! A couple time they mistaken my pic as hers. That's how we end up calling each other twinsie. :)                            

After shopping at JoAnn we went for brunch and then off to CKC Houston where we did some shopping and met up with the girls from Reverse Confetti! They're so fun to hang out with. I am so thrilled to finally meet them. They're all so sweet & nice.

After the convention, we all went out for dinner and hanged out. I love that they all dog lovers like me. Hah... We exchanged dog story and just chat, chat, chat. It truly was a fabulous day. LOL, Tiffany and I were pretty much crashed by the time we got back home.

We already planning for our next get together! :)

What?? You're looking for card? Yes, I have that, too. :) I didn't forget. Today marks the new challenge from Riley & Company. This time the challenge is to create outdoor/summer sport card. Well, when I made my card, I didn't get the sport part, I just thought we have to make summery card. But, then again, juggling is kind of a sport, right?

Riley & Company: Way To Go

For many of you who follow my blog, you probably know that I love cute stuff. And, yes that include cute stamps, of course. So, when I found Riley & Company, I immediately fell in love with their cute moose stamps. And, not only they have cute stamps, but they also have lots of fun & a bit naught sentiments that I can guarantee you will LOL when you see them.

Oh.... did I mention that I am joining their design team? Yep, yep. I am excited and looking forward to share more Riley & Company cuteness. They also have fun challenges and this time it's all about sport. My co-worker's daughter is a cheerleader, so I made this card with her in mind. I love making cards that have certain recipient in mind.

Paper Smooches Sneak Peek

Paper Smooches is showing off their CHA release during the entire month of January.  37 designers are participating along with the PS DT, so there will be a ton for projects to inspire you this month.  Paper Smooches is known for their fun and whimsical hand-drawn stamps.  They decided that it was time to broaden their product line to include DIES and wood mount stamps!

Let's get on to today's sneak peek. I get to play with one of the new die set called Flourishes. And, here's how I used it.

This die set has 3 flourishes in it. But, for my card I only used 2 of the 3 flourishes as I don't want the bird tail to be  too big or too much. And on purpose I didn't glue the curl end of the flourishes so it pop off the card and gives movement to the tail.

What do you think of this die set? I have lots of fun playing with it and what I like about it is that you can use it for elegant looking project or fun looking project. I love the way it gives my bird a funky & stylish edge.
