A Day For Daisies Blog Hop

Hi peeps and welcome to A Day For Daisies Blog Hop. I used to design for ADFD and a few weeks ago was asked if I'd like to join us for a surprise blog hop for Tammy showcasing our favorite image from ADFD.

What I love about ADFD image is the fine detail and sketch of their images. I especially love their fairies and critter image. Pretty much I think Tammy's drawing has a distinct style that when you see it, you know it's her design.

This first card is an old card that I made back in the day when I was part of their design team. I just love this image because it's so sweet and perfect for thinking of you or missing you card. If you want to see ADFD beautiful fairy digi stamps, you can find them all HERE.

Looking at this card, totally make me realize how I so rarely using ribbon on my card nowadays. Need to remind myself to try playing with ribbon again.

Next is a new card that I made using one of my favorite critter image, the Fall Squirrel. As an animal lover, beautiful animal stamps have special place in my heart. I fell in love with this image from the moment I saw it and I have to have it.

How about you? Are you more of a fairy person or critter person? Or both, like me?

Now, no hop is complete without prize, right?  The hop has hidden prizes - a commenter from each hidden prize stop will win a choice of one image from theADFD Shop! You won’t know where the prizes are hidden, so be sure to leave a comment at each stop of the Hop! Our Blog Hop will run from 7:00 a.m. eastern standard time on Saturday, February 25, 2017 until 9:00 p.m. eastern standard time on Tuesday, February 27, 2017

You can find all the prize detail on  ADFD blog.

In addition to the Blog Hop, we invite you to share your Favorite ADFD image in the final ADFDBlog Challenge. The linky will stay open until Friday, March 3rd. All prize winners will be announced on the ADFD Blog on Saturday, March 4, 2017. We hope you will join our celebration of the thousands of images Tammy has created. Rules for the challenge are posted on the right sidebar of the ADFD Blog - the last spot of the stop!
That's all from me today peep. Thank you for swinging by here. And, below is a complete list of the hop participants. Have a great weekend, everyone.

Fall Floral

There's quite a few companies out there that offer digital stamps, but I have to say that to this day, one of my favorite is A Day For Daisies. I love her delicate design. And, I am not just saying it because I used to design for her. Just check out her shop, and you'll see she has so many gorgeous images.

When I was browsing through the store, I saw this cute squirrel, I know right away I want it. It simply looks adorable and it holds poppy flowers. Double whammy. Love at first sight. :)

I have such soft spot for cute animal image. I made this card for ADFD challenge #80 to add flower.

Does the squirrel image make you think of fall? For us here, squirrel is for all season since we usually have mild winter. And the squirrels on our yard is spoiled rotten. Our orange trees are bearing quite a load of fruits right now and every day we found a couple laying on the ground, totally empty in the middle. Hubby thinks the squirrels are enjoying the juicy orange. Sweet hubby decided not to anything about it as he said it's probably rare for the squirrels to enjoy delicious juice. :) Another reason why I married this kind man.

Hope you are enjoying fall no matter where you live. Cheers...

Laurel's Baby Girl Blog Hop

Through paper crafting I have met so many fun & sweet people & some have become such a dear friend to me. One of them is the tiny and spunky Laurel Beard. I have had the pleasure of spending some time with her at CHA and when she visits me in  Houston. I love this girl.

And, we are here today to celebrate her as she is welcoming her new baby girl, Lily. Lily came into this world a few weeks early and she had to stay at the hospital for awhile. But, with God's blessing she is now home and joining her mom, dad and proud big brother, Lucas.

So, several of us get together for long distance celebration. :) If you come here from Tamara's blog you are on the right track. In case you miss anyone, you can find the complete link on Chrissie Tobias blog HERE.

For my card I used this sweet image from A Day For Daisy. I simply love the big bow on the li'l duckling. I bet Laurel will just have a blast dressing up her own  li'l duckling.

To Laurel, congratulations sweetie! I am so excited for you and Christian. May your family always be blessed with many joy with your precious baby girl.

From here please hop on over to Yainea. Thanks so much for stopping by here. Enjoy your weekend.

PS: Today I am sharing a  layout at There She Goes Stamp. You can check it out HERE.

May Arts & ADFD

Have a couple projects to share with you today. First is a mini memory keeper I made for May Arts. This week May Arts is teaming up with Creative Imaginations and the DT get to play with gorgeous papers and Luminarte paints.

This was  my first time playing with Luminarte and I love them! You use them just like you use watercolor paint and when dry they have this gorgeous shimmering finish. Here's a peek at my album cover. For  the rest of the pages and the tutorial, please check out May Arts blog. And remember, when you leave comments there you get entered for the giveaway.

Granted, this is not my typical clean style, but I sure had lots of fun making it. The coloring process is relaxing for me and the result made me feel so artistic. :)

Now, next is a CAS card. No shock there, huh? For this card I used the latest releases from A Day For Daisies. I used metallic ribbon for this card as that's the them of the new ADFD challenge "use something metallic".

And, I want to do a quick shout out for my dear friend, Trinh, for being one of the lucky girl that get picked as Paper Crafts WCMD winner! Congrats, Trinh!

Have a blessed Friday everyone!

Mama & Baby Duck

Yesterday, I mentioned how I've been working hard on submitting for publications and today I am so thrilled to announce that 7 of my cards get picked up for publication. So very thankful. Can't share for what magazine it's for, yet (I am such a tease, aren't I??), that you'll have to wait. :)

I am just so excited that my hard work paid off. And, I got invitation to guest designing for Avocado Arts!!
Simply grateful for all these opportunities. I appreciate them all.

And, I have a sweet card to share with you today. This cute mama & baby duck is courtesy of A Day For Daisies. I know I want this image the moment I saw it.

The baby duck with the big bow stole my heart. She's just too cute! I used Copic marker and Faber-Castell color pencils to color the image. I am entering this card for CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #25 to use color medium.

Wants to see more cute images? Please check out A Day For Daisies for more new releases and fabulous samples by the DT. Have a blessed and happy Friday!

Halloween ADFD Style

Hi all. This is my first post for today. A Day For Daisies is releasing a few fall and Halloween theme images this week. Honestly, I am not a fan of Halloween. It wasn't a holiday that I grew up with and most importantly usually Halloween decoration scare me.

I do not like scary movies, do not like anything that look scary at all. When I walk in the store during Halloween season, I avoid the Halloween rack is possible. Like yesterday, I had to pass this aisle (because it was at the entrance of the store) and suddenly this hand and creepy voice came up. It scared the s*** out of me. That's why I try to avoid them as much as I can. Yeah... I am a chicken when it comes to scary stuff. :)

Now, cute Halloween stuff is a different story. I could handle that. Tammy draw this cute mummy boy and I decided to combine it with the spider web. I love that the boy is holding a roll of toilet paper!!

Check out what the rest of the DT created HERE. And, please come back later as I have another post for Operation Julie's Smile blog hop. There'll be prizes worth over $2500 involves. So, make sure you check it out!

Tea Time

Hi all. This is my 1st post for today. Another one coming up in a few hours and you don't want to miss it, cause it's a  blog hop and there's prizes, too. :)

Tammy at A Day For Daisies came up with tea time related set this week. And it matched our new challenge which is to create any project that involves tea. See that green thingy peeking from behind the image? Yep, this card hold a tea bag for the recipient. For my card, I insert my favorite peppermint green tea. When I am sick, I often reach for hot tea to comfort me and I like to think it works the same way for others. :)

Here is a closer look of the image. It's really hard to see that the background actually has a nice shiny shimmer. I stamped the background image using Penny Black Paisley Background (which I do have about 3 sets that I'd like to sell, if you're interested -- see for sale tab on top), embossed it, and then I spritz the whole thing with Tattered Angel glimmer mist.

Check out the DT fabulous creation at A Day For Daisies and please join us for  this fun challenge.

Honestly, this week been kind of hectic. I've been slaving in my craft room since I have lots of DT works & tutorial to finish that my desk looks like a ship wreck. Literally, it gets to the point where it really bugs me and my mojo threatened to leave me if I don't clean it up!! So, that's my goal for today. To have my desk clean up and organized, so I can mess it up again. Sigh... the cycle of crafting.

Thank you all for stopping by. And thank you for the few people who's been signing up lately to follow my blog. I just want you to know that I appreciate you. I pride my blog for having true followers (thus the  reason I never asked anyone to have to follow my blog when I do a giveaway) and you choosing to follow my blog really means the world to me. Slowly but surely the number is climbing up. Thank you.  :)

Christmas Scene

If you're looking for my Lawnscaping {Heart} Kelly blog hop post, please scroll down.

I have 2 post for today. This is my second post to showcase A Day For Daisies new releases. BTW, you can see Tammy's (owner of ADFD) interview & get to know her better on Lily Pad blog post HERE.

With Christmas just a few months away, Tammy come out with some fantastic Christmas images. I was immediately taken by the bird image and this one just remind me of a calm, peaceful winter Christmas scene. I put glitters on the falling snow and on the fence.

The fun thing is this card took me only 5 minutes to complete. This week, I've been running around like chicken without head, so quick card is almost necessary. Basically this past couple of weeks I have completed 6 cards for PSA Essentials, 3 for Lawnscaping, 1 for Wee Memories, 6 for submission (another few in progress), 4 for Some Odd Girl new releases, .... LOL, I am exhausted just thinking about it.

What help is that I love the companies I am designing for, so it always fun. When I come back from vacation, Some Odd Girl new clear stamp release party start right after that and you'll love this new releases! All post scheduled and ready to go for next week. Now time to finish packing and I'll see you when I come back! Hugs.

Resting My Broom

Hi y'all (can you say it with a Texan's twang?? LOL). Friday means new releases from A Day For Daisies.  This week I picked this sweet girl image called "Resting My Broom" and colored her with Copic and Kuretake ZIG Wink of Stella (glitter pens).

It's hard to capture the glitters, but I basically outline the eyes, nose, mouth area and the pumpkin itself with a yellow Wink of Stella. So, in real life it has nice glitter to kind of reflect the look of the pumpkin being lighted from the inside. The patterned paper is from Bo Bunny.

I wish I could write more, but right now, my brain kind of in a daze mode. Been working so hard on my DT stuff. I completed at least 10 cards this past week just for that (which means, not including the cards I posted here) and I was so intent on being ready, that only after the cards done that I realized I actually have till mid September to finish some of the cards. Now, working on submission cards. :)

Have a great Friday everyone!

Nice vs Mean

Yesterday was one of those day. I am tired and frustrated of people who think the only way to be ahead in life is by running over other people. You want to be ahead in life then work hard, use your brain, be kind to others. Be ahead through an honest way, through a way that you can be proud of. Where's the pride of being ahead by being mean to others?

There's this story about Budha. He was meditating and this rude person walk by him and call him all kind of names and Budha just smile. Finally, the guy asked him why is he still smiling and not being insulted by the name calling and all. And Budha said, "Because none of them were true and your words have no power over me unless I let it be."

Some people are just plain mean and they will do anything and say things about you like this person did to me, just to be ahead. But we have the choice whether to let mean people has power over us or not. If anything, I feel sorry that this person must be so miserable that she feels the need to hurt others just to make herself feel better. I am frustrated by this person act, but you know what... this makes me determine to spread the message that KINDNESS RULES!! Be nice to others and let mean people see that being kind and nice matter more than being mean.

I believe in karma, what goes around comes around. I am just saying it's much better to be nicer than to be mean and you most likely get less wrinkles. Amen. :)

Now that I vented off my frustration, let's share some pretty things shall we. Let's surrounded ourselves with good positive energy. Today, I have a couple cards to share using the new released from A Day For Daisies. As soon as I saw this cute owls image, I knew I want to use it right away. Love the look of hanging stars and to add texture, I hand-stitched them.

Distress the edges of frame with distress ink and for the moon glow, I rub chalks around the moon. The moon itself was colored with copic marker. I often mix and match different color medium on a card. Here's a close-up look of the layered image.

Next, is a super girly card. When I saw this image, I love the layered of her dress. It just looks so pretty & girly. I made this for ADFD "twine" challenge. For the background I stamped a music score

I outlined the sash with Sakura glitter pen and here's a close up look. Hopefully you can see the pretty soft glitters on the sash. You can click on the pic to get a larger view.

Now... I am going to start my days by making someone's day brighter simply by giving them smile. One small act. A smile can trump over a frown. An act of kindness can trump meanness. Let's spread kindness all over the place so meanness have no place in our life.

ADFD Christmas in July

Yay it's Friday! Today, A Day For Daisies is celebrating Christmas in July. The DT get to choose Christmas images to play with and of course, it's like unleashing a kid at a candy store. :)

My first card is using Elves at Work. Found this printed digital paper in my pile of scrap papers and decided to use it. If I am not wrong this paper is not Christmas paper, but the color still  works, so why not?

Challenge:
Craft Your Passion - Christmas in July

Then my 2nd card is actually a mini card 3x3. The top of the stocking is covered with glitter. The green dot border is fabric tape from Love My Tapes. I use them quite a bit lately, because they are simply gorgeous (I was lucky to receive quite a few as freebies after helping them at their booth at CHA).

Challenge:
Crafty Creations - #129 Christmas

Oh my gosh, as I am typing this, Tiffany is singing "I Think We're Alone Now" on Good Morning America. and it sure brings back those 80's memories. I did love this song growing up. Well, I want to enjoy the song and jamming to it. LOL. Great way to start my morning. Thanks for swinging by here and enjoy your Friday. Cheers... :)

Star Light Star Bright

Yay... it's Friday! How are you all doing? Today, I have a dreamy card to share with you using image courtesy of A Day For Daisies. Actually, besides being a card, I think this actually would make a sweet baby room decor as well. Simply put it inside a frame. What do you think?

For this card, I am using my old but trusty chalk set. I have this chalk set for almost 10 years, if not more. It last forever and they're perfect to create soft colors. Actually, on this card, I used chalks for the background, hammock, and tree, then copic markers for the li'l girl, blanket, & flower, and color pencils for the moon & stars.

I did color outside the moon a bit  on purpose to create the glowing look.

Hope you enjoy your visit here and don't forget that I do have a giveaway going on till July 25 to celebrate my 300 followers!! Click HERE for details. Have a great Friday everyone!

ADFD Blog Hop

Hi peeps, how are you all doing? Sorry, I am such a slacker in blogging this week. Just have bunch of things on my plate this week. Anyway, today I'd like to welcome you to A Day For Daisies blog hop! For this hop, the DT gals were asked to create 3 different projects using some fun cupcake images.

Of course, to make it more fun, there are freebies and prizes!! You have a week to hop, and to be qualified for the door prize, you must leave a comment at each designer's blog. The grand prize for the hop commenting is the July Club release. And, Tammy, who designed all the images at ADFD is providing 2 freebies for the participants to play along with for their 3 projects. The winner of that gets a $12 gift certificate for the shop.

Here's my 3 projects. First one is a mini card. Give me great excuse to use up my scrap papers. :) Been loving the aqua color a lot lately. They're just so pretty.

Next project is a cheerful tag. On purpose, I didn't put any ribbon or twine on this tag. No special reason, just don't feel like it at the moment. Heh...

And the last project. A cupcake paper gift bag. Let me tell ya'... this bag is red, red! I don't want to put too much and decided to use this gorgeous lace ribbon from May Arts to help tone down the red a bit.

There you go. 3 projects. I hope this help make up for the time I am not blogging this week.  I haven't had a good night sleep this past few days, then I started a new exercise schedule that just make me feel whooped by the end of the day, so not  much energy left. Fingers crossed it'll change soon.

From here, please hope on over to our DT coordinator Arielle.  And here's a complete list of the DT blogs. Thanks so much for joining us and I hope you enjoy the hop.

A Day For Daisies

Hi peep. A quick post to share this week new releases from A Day For Daisies. Here's a look at one of the set. There are 3 sets of images being released this week.

And, here's my card using one of the image from above. The challenge at ADFD is to use a technique that you never used before with digital stamp. On mine, I never use watercolor on digital image and figure now is a good time to try. :)

The background is made of ribbon from May Arts. I {heart} webbed ribbon. So fun to play with. Thank you all for stopping by and have a great Friday.

Happy Birthday To My Li'l Brother

First, let's start with the card, shall we? This week, A Day of Daisies releases a bunch of Asian inspired images and they're gorgeous. I made this card for the new challenge at ADFD, which is "black, white + one color". I've been drawn to red lately, so that's what I use for my extra color.

I really only use red to color the image. For glitters, I used stardust stickle and somehow it shows up as blue. I kind of like this challenge. :) I think the result is pretty fun. I hope you come and join us for the challenge. Tammy always provide a freebie with each new challenge, so check out the freebie for this challenge and check out the inspiration by the DT HERE.

And now... a birthday shout out to my li'l brother, Jerry. I always joke that he's my almost twin as he's only 11 months younger than me. Trust me, my mom was shocked and freaked out when she first found out she was pregnant with him. :)

But, our family wouldn't be complete without him. He's the clown and always know how to make people laugh. I am so proud of him and love him to pieces. Look at this cake from his sweetie. LOL, can you guess his profession?

So far, he has published 2 books. Here's a look of his book covers. The first book was about beauty, grace, power, and strength of women and he dedicated this book to my mom. The second book are collection of influential people in Indonesia in their most private room their bedroom and just by looking at the pic, you can guess what they're like or what their job or what's important for them. That's what I love about my brother's photography. When you look at the pictures he's taken, it represent something deeper. He has many fabulous underwater picture as well and you can check those HERE.
Happy birthday to my lil brother. May you alway be blessed. Have a fabulous day everyone!

Just A Note

Hi there, blogging peeps. Did you experience difficulties with blogger yesterday? I sure did. It deleted my post. Uggh....

So, here's reposting my card that I did yesterday for CPS Sketch #217 and Penny Black tall card challenge.

Clean and fun cuteness, if I might say so. :) Love it when  my card comes out so clean looking. Since, I have a few posting that needed to be done today due to blogger issue, I re-do this post with a couple other cards.

Next card is a girly one. For this card, I used A Day For Daisies new releases for this week. And today also mark time for new challenge and it's a sketch challenge. You can find the sketch HERE.

And for this last card, I used the sktech from Card Patterns Sketch 114. The background stamps and the snail are all from Market Street Stamps and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

Was planning on entering this card for a couple other challenge, but too late now, since I couldn't posted this morning. Debating whether I should change my blog to typepad or wordpress. Anyway, hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Loving Grey's

TGIF!! Happy Friday peeps! Welcome to the  month of April. :)

So, any of you  a big fan of Grey's Anatomy? Did you watch last night episode? I have to talk about it as I LOVE that show. And, I thought last night was episode was a great one. Simply awesome. Musical without being cheesy. It was actually a powerful and emotional episode.

And yes... I cried. I could see my mom shaking her head. :) I cry at movies. Heck, I got teary eyes watching Up! the animation. Anyway, back to Grey's, Sara Ramirez performance as Callie was powerful & amazing. She has great voice. They picked all the right songs. I'm not going to spoil the story for those of you who record the show and hasn't watch it, yet. I think this was one of the best episodes of Grey's. What did you think of the episode?

Ok, on to card. Before I got glued to the TV, I did completed this card for A Day For Daisies. This week we start a new challenge and the them is stitching. Can be real can be faux stitching. Since  my sewing machine been acting up, I settled for the faux one.

Merry Mayhem

Hi friends. How's it going. I know, my poor blog been so neglected. I do still making cards quite a bit, but I feel like people don...
