My Grafico "Anything Goes"

Happy December! Seems like as soon as December starts the air feels different. It seems more jolly, in my opinion. Today, is exactly 2 more weeks before I get to go to Jakarta and see my family for Christmas. I wish hubby could go with me. This would be the first time we're apart for a long period and on top of that it's Christmas. His parents will keep him company while I am gone, but still, so wishing he could go with me. Of course, our doggies would argue with that. :)

Anyway, I have new card for you for MyGrafico "Anything Goes" challenge. This week, the DT get to play with the vintage "Christmas Digital Stamps" by Blackleaf Studio and "Let It Snow" patterned paper set from Jazzy Patterns.

Here's a peek of what's included with the 2 sets that we get to play with. You can check out the rest of the DT works here.

Well, don't have much else to write about. What's new at your neck of the wood? Care to share? Wishing you all a great December!

My Grafico Sketch Challenge

Hi peeps! How are you all doing today? Wednesday, means new challenge time for My Grafico. This week the DT gals get to play with some fun digi paper kit and this super cute digi stamp set from Stockberry Studio. I thought all the characters in this set are such a cutie patootie.

I decided to use non traditional Christmas colors for my card. How about some hot pink with blue? So girly, isn't it? For the birdie scarf, I used my cross stitch floss. I used to do some cross stitch and still has tons of threads. So glad I get to use it. :)

Challenges:
A Spoonful Of Sugar - snow / snowflakes
Craft Your Passion - 2 of anything
Crafty Calendar - winter
Bee Crafty - digi stamp and christmas
Alphabet - b is for bird

You can check out the sketch for this week challenge & all the DT works here. Also, currently My Grafico is hosting a Christmas Giveaway! Check out all the details here. Many awesome prizes!!

For those that are Papertrey Ink fans, have you seen their sneak peek today?? Hah... I told myself I am going to be good this month and plan on not buying anything. Yeah... that resolution kind of waving pretty badly right now. I saw some sets that I know right away that I have to have. Sigh... and today only day 1 of the samples. Are you buying this month? I think I am addicted to Papertrey. :)

Happy hump day! Cheers...

Bunch of Cards

Today, I have quite a few cards to share with you. First up, is my final card for the Hero Arts pairing up challenge with Hannah. For the finale, our theme is Christmas!  And, here's what I came up with:

Challenges:
Incy Wincy Designs - anything goes
Wild Orchid - christmas
Bee Crafty - christmas

Yes, another die-cut with text. I cut out a bunch of this last time and just trying to use them up. Besides, I still have to make tons of holiday cards and it's handy to have thinsg ready to use. I am sure Hannah's coming up with a really awesome card as well. Check out Hannah's card here.

Next, my card for MyGrafico fall challenge. The DT get to play with these wonderful sets from Lilly Bimble and form Lindsay's Stamp Stuff.

And, here's my quick & simple card. I love that the digital patterned paper is so pretty, that you don't need much embellishment at all. I covered the maple leaves with glitter.

The third card, just for fun. Well, I've been wanting to use this cutie patootie turkey and to join OTWC color challenge (orange, white, & black). Finally, able to do it! I did add some other colors. Wonder if it's okay?? Yep, I have a bunch of this turkey printed out, so I can make  bunch of Thanksgiving cards for Caring Hearts Card Drive.

Challenges:
Tuesday Throwdown - give thanks
Cupcake Craft - thank you with autumn colors
Edited to add: this card also for 2S4Y Sketch challenge

I haven't reach my goal of making 50 cards, but I am getting there. I hope I can reach it. I've been so focus on this card drive, I haven't even start on my own Christmas cards for family & friends. And I only have 6 more weeks left before I am flying out to visit my family in Indonesia! Yikes.... it's going to be soooo crazy. But, it's FUN crazy!! :)

Thank you all for stopping by and enjoy your day. Cheers!!

HA Pairing Up & MyGrafico

Today, I have another Hero Arts Pairing Up card. It's my second wekk of pairing up with Hannah F. Nicole. Our theme for this one is to create a "Thinking of you" card.

This time I am stepping out of my cofort zone a bit. I don't usually do distressing technique too often, but I figure I wouldn't know how much I'd like it or not if I don't try, right? So, based on Jennifer McGuire Thinking Inking class and using CPS 190 sketch, here's what I came up with.

The doggy is from Hero Arts for Silhouette. I am loving cutting shape with the text paper. Someone suggested I should try to sell the die-cut like that (I used the bird shape on my post here). I am tempted, but right now not sure how much time it would take. I haven't post anything on my Etsy shop for more than a year now. What do you think, should I try to sell die cut with text images?

Next, is my card for MyGrafico. This week, the DT get to play with this fun set.

And, here's my pirate/bat owl. LOL, Ii wasn't quite sure what hes costume supposed to be. But, for sun, I made the skull eye patch glittery. Heh... I thought it's more fun if the eye patch all sparkly. Added glitters on the wings, too. Check out all the eye candy from the DT here.

Challenges:
Karber Monthly - Digi stamp & fantasy (halloween, fairies, etc)
Crazy 4 Challenges - halloween
Ellephantastic - halloween

So, have you check out Caring Hearts Blog Hop, yet? Today is the last day to leave comments on all participating blogs to be eligible for prizes. You have till midnight and 3 winners will be announce on Friday! Cheers...

Happy Wednesday

Happy hump day! Which means, time for MyGrafico challenge. This week their challenge is "ANYTHING GOES". The DT glas get to play with Sarah Paris Clocks & Watches stamps & Crosshatched paper from Woofy World.

For my card, I keep it CAS. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Challenges:
Craftalicious - anything goes
One Stitch At A Time - use digi stamps / paper
Create4fun - use a digital stamp

You can check out all the DT creations here. I also have another quick card to share. Made this a while back and I don't think I ever share it here. It's using the samp from one of my favorite, favorite stamp company, Lawn Fawn. Every time, I look at this typewriter stamp, it makes me wants to get an antique typewriter for display for my scrapbook room.

I love the old school typewriter, for me it evokes such sentimental feeling. LOL, back in my elementary school days, I used to use them to type school projects. And, I think they look cool.

Challenges:
Tuesday Throwdown - 3 of something  (I used 3 stamps)
Daring Cardmakers - office theme

Thank you all for stopping by and I cannot wait for the weekend already. Have so many stamping ideas swirling in my head, would be nice to be able to work on some of them. Hugs.

A couple cards

Hi peeps. How are you all doing? I have a couple cards to share with you today. The first card is just a random card I made. Quick & simple card.

Second card is the one I made for MyGrafico assignment. Honestly, I have to say that this is one of my hardest challenge. Why? Cause I have to create a card using clown images!

I mean, I am okay to see clown in the circus, other than that, hmmm... not really. LOL, blame it on creepy movie. And, I can tell you, I am not the only one who felt that way! Well, for this week we get to use the clown set from Dilek Design Studio & Circus Love Paper by Cupcake Cutiees.

There's the card. What do you think of clown? Seriously, I think most of the girls in the DT really struggling working with clown images. You can check out the DT projects & the challenge detail at MyGrafico challenge blog.

Tomorrow, I will have a pretty card for you, for the 2nd week of Hero Arts Pairing Up Challenge. All I can say, I want to frame this card. Stop by tomorrow to check it out. Have a blessed day! Hugs, Vera.

MyGrafico Challenge 68

Hi all, how are you all doing today? Are you ready to celebrate World card Making Day this weekend? As I mentioned on my previous post, I am considering doing a card drive. There are many elderly in nursing homes that are lonely and sometime forgotten, and my mom was mentioning how sad sometime the situation is when you stuck in nursing homes and don't get many visitors. A card could definitely brighten their day.

I am going to offer some prizes to make it worthwhile your time. Would you be interested to join? Please leave a comment & let me know. Any support is much appreciated. :) I will post more detail later.

Okay, on to today's card for MyGrafico. This week, the DT get to work with this super cute "Little Witch" from Clip Arts & Scraps.

And the challenge is to make anything but a card. I decided to make a candy bag with Halloween coming up.

Challenges:
Cuttlebug Spot - requires embossing

Check out MyGrafico challenge blog for challenge, prize detail, and eye candy from the other DT gals. And before I forgot, there's also sale going on at MyGrafico, 35% off all Lilly Bimbl stuff.

Thank you all for stopping by. Hugs, Vera.

MyGrafico

Hi all. How are you today? Me... I am giddy. 3 more days and I get to see my li'l brother. Okay, he's taller than me, but still he'll always be li'l bro to me. :)

When we were kids, we played together all the time. I mean we're only 11 months apart, so naturally we did lots of things together. At first, when I found out this week challenge for MyGrafico to use some metal and the DT have to use Western theme digi paper & sentiment, I was stumped. This is so not my style. Then I googled for cowboy/cowgirl image to use and I found this cute image that totally reminded me of me and my brother.

There's even picture of us dressing up in our cowboy/cowgirl outfit. I don't have any metal to work with, so I used the aluminium foil as my metal part. For me, it seems like a vintage card. What do you think? This is totally out of my comfort zone for me.

Check out MyGrafico challenge blog for challenge & prize detail.  I am also entering this card for Cinema Saturday "High Noon" challenge.

I'll have 2 post for today. My second post would be for DeNami Blog Hop. Hope you'll come & checking it out, too. Cheers.

Sick Day

Yesterday was not a good day at all for me or hubby. We were both sick, but for different things. Hubby was up all night, throwing up, so he felt yucky when it was time to go to work. And he has slight fever & ligh headed. I was fine, then on the way to work, I started to feel my stomach cramping. I thought must be that time of the month. Wrong. By the time I got to the office, I felt like crawling. I asked my coworker for a pain medicine.

Well, the pain was so severe that just drinking water was enough to make me empty my stomach. Nuff said. My coworker made me lay down at one of the office that has a couch and she emailed my bosses & husband to tell them I was sick as a dog and hubby needs to pick me up.

I was telling hubby, what a pair we are. In sickness & health together, alright, just wish it's not at the same time. Sigh.... Went to the doctor, they couldn't really tell me what's wrong. So, we'll see. I sure hope the cramp won't come back. Not often I ever have the thought geez, pass out seems like a good idea rather than dealing with the intense pain. Then my rational part of the brain, well, if you passed out there's a chance you might bust your head or crack you teeth, so better stay focus and don't pass out. Yeah, basically I argued with myself. LOL, I can be nuts sometime.

Anyhoo..., that's the reason I didn't have anything posted yesterday. All I did was laid on the sofa curled up with the babies. Today, I have card for MyGrafico challenge that luckily I finished last week.

This week it's "Beach theme". For details on the challenge please check out MyGrafico challenge blog. Thank you for stopping by and I sure hope I'll get back on the swing of things again. Hugs, Vera.

MyGrafico Challenge 64

Yesterday, 2 things happened that totally made me smile big time! Hero Arts highlighted my card here through twitter. Eekk.... and I found it through Kryssi's comment on my post. Thank you, Kryssi, you're a doll!! Then, while I was at  my Flickr group browsing around, Michelle mentioned this post at Love My Tapes!! Double eeekk... LOL, I know I was going to be featured, just didn't know it's up already. Thank you, Shemaine for the lovely post.

All I can say, that poppy flowers from Hero Arts is my good luck charm! Whenever I used it, it seems to bring me luck! :)

On to today's card for MyGrafico challenge 64. This week, easy peasy, ANYTHING GOES. The DT get to play with digi papers by Cupcake Cuties & digi stamps by Kelly Medina.

From the background paper to the crayons and star, all digi images. I just layered everything on Words and voila, it's done. Quick & easy. The only thing I stamped is the sentiment. Here's a peek of what's included with the set that we get to play with.

MyGrafico Challenge 60

Hi peeps! Notice something different?? I decided to update my blog header. I actually made 2 version. One with the letters in blue grey, which I currently used, and the other one in green. What do you think? I think this new design has cleaner look than my previous one. Kind of loving this new look.

It's Wednesday, so it's time for another MyGrafico challenge. This week the DT get to work with the Mel Brushes "Wild flower set". And the challenge is to create vintage or distressed card. This truly is a challenge for me. If you have followed me for awhile, you know I don't do vintage card. Totally not my style.

Making distressed looking card stressed me out. Here's my card. The closest I came in making vintage looking card.

I keep feeling like I need to clean up those edges. LOL. What do you think peeps? Yay or nay? And I decided to add some buttons, so I can enter this card for EBTKS Challenge 20 as well.

I hope you will join us for MyGrafico challenge. You can find all  the details here and you can win free digital stamp, too! Here's a peek of what's included in  the Wildflower set.

After all  the stress of trying to make vintage card, I tried to get my mojo back by making my typical cute stuff. :) On my previous post I metioned I found this cute ducky stamp at CHA. Well, here he is. I think he's a cutie pie!

I made this card using Maren's sketch for Skipping Stones Design Challenge 36 (my 1st time entering their challenge). I met Maren at CHA and she's just the cutest girl with bundles of energy. She entertained the crowd at Paper Crafts booth with her enthusiasm and she's just so nice and adorable.

Thank you for stopping by here. I really appreciate all your wonderful comments & encouragemet. Have a great Wednesday!

Becky

Today I feel a bit bummed for my sweet sister-in-law & my brother who lives in Jakarta. Early this morning their time (last evening our time here in the US), they had to put their beloved dog, Becky to sleep. Beacky has been with them for almost 15 years. She came into their live soon after they got married along with her sibling, Barney.

She's been sick a lot and blind, too. Letting go of a beloved family member always heartbreaking. I just want to wish them both comfort during this sad time. At least now, Beacky is free from any pain and hopefully she's having a blast in heaven!

OK, on to today's card for MyGrafico challenge. This week we're featuring the work of Zenwaredesigns, called Slumber Party. The challenge is to "Glitz Up" your project. Add glitters, rhinestone, etc., to your project and then upload your card at MyGrafico Challenge Blog.

And here's what come in the Slumber Party set:

Plenty of cuteness. Would be fun to use this to make invitation for a slumber party! I also make another card last night using CPS Sketch 177. This one is using the Hero Arts design for Silhouette. I loved, loved my Silhouette and it's great that slowly many manufacturer have their design available to Silhouette.

Going to Paris is one of the item on my bucket list! So want to go there. I love travelling, especially to Europe. I just love the history they have and the mix of old and modern together. Isn't this Eiffel Tower die-cut so awesome & detailed?

Well, for now, travelling to Chicago is on  the list. 2 more days!! LOL, I already get excited that I can barely sleep last night thinking of all the goodies I am going to see, the people I am going to meet, etc. :) Hope you will join us on this week MyGrafico challenge. Let those glitters out!! Hugs, Vera.

Here's what come in the set:

To join the challenge they do ask that you use MyGrafico digi stamp. But they have lots of freebies that you can get here, to get you started. Just go look under "Freebies". As of this morning, there seem like some technical issue over the site. Hopefully it will be fix by later today and you can swing by there and get yourself some freebies. :)

I'm entering this for CAStastic summer challenge as well.

I am short on crafting time lately, so I stick to CAS style card. I love trying new technique, but lots of time I come back to my simple style. I do love card that has lots of white spaces. Have a great Wednesday and hope you will join us for MyGrafico challenge! Hugs, Vera.

What?? Hmm yeah...

Hm... my brain still not fully functioning today. See my title? Yeah, that's how I felt all day yesterday and even this morning. I was down with allergy yesterday, and boy I think it was one of the worst I ever experience. Feel like my nose and cheek were swollen and throbbing with pressure. Pretty much spent the whole day in a daze.

I checked my emails, etc., but today I have to re-read all of them. None of what I read yesterday registered on my mind at all. You said something to me yesterday? Hmm.. yeah, can you repeat it again today? It was like puff... the magic dragon took all my memories. Today, I feel much better. Still a bit groggy, but better. :)

I started this card on Friday night for Cherie Reve for MyGrafico. I didn't finish it till Sunday as Saturday I was busy all day long and Sunday, with my head up in the sinus cloud, finishing this was the only thing I accomplished.

You can get this cute girl surrounded by all these balloons here. I added the crystal glaze on all  the balloons so it has nice shiny finish to it.

That's all for today. I still have tons of works to do. Hoping for a very productive week this week. Hugs to you all, Vera.

Banner card

Isn't banner such a trend right now? Seems like we see it everywhere. This is my second card this year that incorporate banner. And... me likey.

For today's card I used the banner from MyGrafico "On The Line Digital Set" by Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. I loved the way this card turned out. After I printed the banners, I colored it Copic markers, stamped the letter using Hero Arts Printer's Lowercase alphabet set. Oldie but a goodie set.

I am slo entering this card for Card Style Fun and Cute Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. I am sure you'll agree my style most of the time either fun & cute or clean & graphic. What do you think is your card making style?

See all those flags? Yeah, at first I was like what was I thinking, looking at those little triangles. But, luckily cutting them didn't take much time once I figured out the quickest way to cut them. I just snip from one angles first, then snip from the other angles. Take about 10-15 minutes to cut all of them. And my desk is filled with pretty tiny confetti once I am done. :) I glued the string using my must have Tombow liquid glue, then added the banners on top of it. I just loved the cheerful colors. At last minute decided to add the cute Penny Black mice. Love  the result.

Here's preview of what come with "On The Line Set":

Check out this week MyGrafico challenge here. It's free to join and they do have loads of digi freebies. Have a great Wednesday peeps. Hugs, Vera.

Patchwok Boo

Hi there. Am popping up to share this cutie patootie ghost courtesy of Spellbinder's Felt Patchwork Boo Etched Dies by Nichol Spohr . I...
