DeNami Fall Blog Hop

Happy Sunday and welcome to Denami Fall Blog Hop! If you arrive here from Ruza Rebel's blog then you are on the right track. As always you can find a complete list of the participants on Denami Blog.

As the title shown, our theme is fall. I have to admit that I always struggle when it comes to make card for the fall season. I am not sure why. Maybe it's the color? And, it's not helping when again... mojo goes on strike. After much struggle, I came up with a simple card.

The tree was cut from Silhouette. Sentiment and the cutie turkey are from Denami.

I am keeping my post short as I know you have a lot of blog to hop to. Thank you for stopping by here and thank you for all your lovely comments. From here please hop on over to  Rae Ann Beyerl. Have a great Sunday everyone!

Denami Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to Denami  mini cards blog hop! Glad you can join us. If you get here from LINDSEY then you are on the right track. As always, if you miss any link or want to start at the beginning, you can find a complete list of the participants at DENAMI blog.

I had so much fun making mini cards for this blog hop. With Denami small size stamp, I find it very easy & fun to make mini cards. In fact, I had so much fun that I made a set of card and 1 extra card. Here's a look at the set one. I love the circle sentiment and it fit perfectly inside the Spellbinders Nestabilities dies.

I colored each turtles with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush (watercolor markers) and the waterbrush pen. Yep, I mentioned these markers quite often lately, because I am loving them at this moment. So easy and quick for coloring and no mess!! I still shake my head that I didn't get the waterbrush pen sooner.

And the presents were outlined with Wink of Stella markers. Gorgeous fine glitters, it just hard to take pic of it. But in real life, these cards has some pretty glitters to it. The blue and pink background papers are from Echo Park digital.

For my next card, I used the distressing ink watercolor technique.  Love the artsy feeling it created. Partially stamped the edges with antique writing. I have several Denami stamps, but seems like I always come back to the turtles. I simply adore the cute face. :)

Hope you enjoy your visit here and find some inspirations. From here please hop on over to AYANA blog. Her cards always so cute & cheerful and I am sure she has something amazing for today's hop. Thank you so much for stopping by here and have a great Sunday everyone!

Denami Blog Hop

Hi all and welcome to Denami blog hop. I apologize for having this post up slightly late. Had the post all schedule and it didn't go up as plan. I just now checking in and  manually post this.

I am thrilled to join Denami blog hop again. This month, our theme is fabulous frame. If you come here from Lisa Petrella then you're on a right track. As always, you can find a complete list of the participants at Denami blog. And here's my card:

I adore this sweet elephant and wanting to use it as the focus of this card and frame it using Spellbinders frame die-cut. I keep the design sweet and simple.

I am looking forward to seeing Paulina again at the CHA Super Show as I already see Denami on the exhibitor list. My mother-in-law helped me get in to the CHA Trade Show and since they're back to back, I'll be attending both. So excited. My first CHA Trade Show.

DeNami Simply Scallops Blog Hop

Welcome to DeNami first blog hop for 2011! This time the theme is simply scallops. If you come here from the super sweet & talented PAULINA then you're on the right track. And, in case you miss a link, you can always go to DeNami Blog for a complete list of the participants.

The penguins from DeNami is definitely one of my favorite Denami stamp to use. So, I can't resist to use them again for this card.

The scallops border is from Silhouette. I fussy cut all the penguins to make it looks like they're holding hands. :) The second card is using another favorite of mine, the turtle. To makethe turtle looks more festive for birthdya, I just cut a little trianle to create the party hat.

I'll keep it short today as I know you have many blogs to check out. Hope you like the cards. From here, hop on over to NICKY. Don't forget to leave comment on each blog to increase your chance to win one of the 3 gift certificate from DeNami. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great Sunday.

Skipping A Day

Today is the day that I somehow skipped during my flight to Indonesia. Yep, I left on Wednesday afternoon and by the time I arrive in Indonesia, it'll be Friday already. No Thursday for me.
I am guessing, when this post goes up, I am somewhere between Moscow & Singapore?? And, missing my husband dearly already.

Here's a quick post of another simple tag I made. I love turtles. Used to have a couple that I named Valentino & Rafael (from Ninja Turtles) and yes, I have a little collection of turtles stuff. I have weaknesses toward cute & cuddly stuff (translation: stuff animals). Luckily, they're all mini size, otherwise I wouldn't have a place to put them.

Oy, I rambled all over the place, didn't I? Hope this post goes up without a glitch and I pray that I arrive safely in Jakarta. Hugs!

Thank You

Yesterday, I received this from Ren-Yi and it totally made me smile. To ALL OF YOU who supported Caring Hearts Card Drive, this is for you from the residents at The Pavilions at Forrestal Assisted Living in Princetown, New Jersey.

Thank you, Ren-Yi for all your help in distributing the cards and thank you Pam (the activity director) for all the care and for this sweet pic.

On to eye candy. Last weekend, I was on a roll in making holiday tags. Here's a couple tags I made using Denami Design penguin stamps. A simpler version than the one I did for Sunday's post. :)

As I count down the hours for my trip to Jakarta, my sweet hubby is counting down the days of me being back home again. Due to circumstances, he couldn't go with me. :( We really don't like being away from each other, but he knows how much I miss my family. I'm thankful  to have such a sweet & supportive hubby!Really wish he could go with me. Thank goodness for phone and email!!

Peeps, hope you have a great Tuesday and stay warm.

Denami Holiday Tag Blog Hop

Hi all, happy Sunday and welcome to Denami Blog Hop! Glad to have you join us. If you come to my blog from TINA then you're on the right track. As always, if you miss any link, you can always go to Denami blog for a complete list of the participants.

This month the theme for the hop is "Holiday Tag". I already have the idea in mind for awhile of how I want to do my tag. A few weeks ago I created a ribbon Christmas tree for one of my Christmas card and it was so much fun, that I decided to do it again. It's such a quick way to create a bunch of Christmas tree. All I did just layered several ribbon, like about 6" long,  and  then cut it in a zig zag with my paper trimmer and voila... I get several  trees ready to use.

Here's the first two tags using the penguins. For a little detail I added liquid applique & then heat it up for the hat, creating those yummy puffy stuff.

And, here the other 3 tags. I painted the blue background using glimmer glazed and in person, you could see the pretty shimmer of the glaze. This was my first time trying the glimmer glaze and still debating how much I like it. The ones I try come with brush and I think I prefer the spray one. Maybe once I get use to it, I'll like it more. :)

Hope you like the tags and from here please hop on over to KAREN. Thank you all for stopping by and would love to hear what you think about the tags. Have a blessed Sunday!

Hi peeps! How are you all doing today? Wednesday, means new challenge time for My Grafico. This week the DT gals get to play with some fun digi paper kit and this super cute digi stamp set from Stockberry Studio. I thought all the characters in this set are such a cutie patootie.

I decided to use non traditional Christmas colors for my card. How about some hot pink with blue? So girly, isn't it? For the birdie scarf, I used my cross stitch floss. I used to do some cross stitch and still has tons of threads. So glad I get to use it. :)

Challenges:
A Spoonful Of Sugar - snow / snowflakes
Craft Your Passion - 2 of anything
Crafty Calendar - winter
Bee Crafty - digi stamp and christmas
Alphabet - b is for bird

You can check out the sketch for this week challenge & all the DT works here. Also, currently My Grafico is hosting a Christmas Giveaway! Check out all the details here. Many awesome prizes!!

For those that are Papertrey Ink fans, have you seen their sneak peek today?? Hah... I told myself I am going to be good this month and plan on not buying anything. Yeah... that resolution kind of waving pretty badly right now. I saw some sets that I know right away that I have to have. Sigh... and today only day 1 of the samples. Are you buying this month? I think I am addicted to Papertrey. :)

Happy hump day! Cheers...

Triple Happy Stuff

Yesterday was such a good day! Met my cousin who just came back from Indonesia for lunch and she brought me some Indonesian snack from my mom. First happy package of the day. LOL, when you're away from your birth country, it's all about food. I miss the food. 5 more weeks before I get to go home & have great food. I miss a lot of the fruits, too as many of them are hard to find here.

Came home from work & got my second happy package, this one was DT goodies from Jenny at Wee Memories. Thank you, Jenny! Then, checked my email and Michelle emailed me about this! I am one of the lucky winners from Schlosser Blog Hop and each winner get to pick 3 stamp sets of their choice! Eeekkk... I had to email Michelle again and confirm that I read it correctly! 3 sets??!! Awesome blossom! :)

Nothing makes me happier than some awesome stamping goodies. So, thankful for all these blessings. What a great way to start my week. Continue on with my Thanksgiving cards. Please bear with me as I am sharing bunch of Thanksgiving cards as we're closing to the end of Caring Hearts Card Drive. I don't have many Thanksgiving stamps, that's why you'll see the same image again and again. Come next week, I should have plenty of non-Thanksgiving cards.

Karber Weekly - Digi Stamp and animals
Scrappy Frogs - give thanks
Sew Many Cards - Digi Stamp and fall
Challenges:
OTWC - orange, brown, green
Crafty Emma - autumn
Stamp, Scrap & Doodle - fall cards

Yeah, on this last card, I made a booboo. That's what happened when you're tired, but keep forcing yourself to keep going. Did you notice?? Let me know if you do, cause then I'd have to skip mailing this one out. :)

Digital Doodles DT is on a break this week, we'll be back more eye candy soon! Thank you all for stopping by. Hugs!

How To Train Your Dragon

LOL, how's  that for a blog title? Last night, I finally get to watch How To Train Your Dragon. I've been wanting to watch it since it came out. Don't laugh, but I love it! I thought "Toothless"  the dragon is so cute & adorable. I told you I am such a kid sometime. I love good animation. And How To Train Your Dragon is definitely my favorite animation for this year. Favorite of all time? The Lion King. Cried my eyes the first four times I watched it, when Mufasa,  the dad passed away.

Sigh..., okay don't judge here. LOL, I am not the only one, right, adult that love animation? Well, at least, I know both my brothers & mom love them, too. Even hubby, ended up enjoying watching it last night, eventhough at first he was hesitant to watch it. But, then he saw the amazing graphic & ended up liking it. Besides, he said when Toothess the dragon smile, it looks like our pug, Ollie. Hah! Yeah, definitely would be cool to have pet dragon.

Okay, okay, enough rambling. Here's my card for today. Another Christmas card. Are you sick, yet of seeing Christmas cards? Sorry, but with Caring Hearts Card Drive, all I am making these days are holiday cards. Oh yes, winner for Caring Hearts Blog Hop will be announced tomorrow!!

Rambling Thoughts

For Caring Hearts Blog Hop please scroll down or click HERE. You have till Wednesday to leave comment to be eligible for prizes :)

During Caring Hearts Blog Hop, what Savitri wrote captured my thought perfectly. Here's what she wrote: "I have a thing for old people, especially little sweet old men, they make me go “awwwwww” and reminds me of my own grandpa. But in general, lot of them just brings a smile to my face. A little squeeze on my arm, a little laugh, home made cookies, whatever… old folks gives me the warm and fuzzies."

That's exactly what I thought & feel about the elderly. I always have soft spot in my heart for kids & the elderly. I love those jovial old folks that greeted you with a warm hug & smile. They remind me so much of my dad, who always have huge smile on his face.

Am I rambling? Sorry, just really want to share what Savitri wrote, since I can so relate to that. Also, another note, Nancy Krueger, one of my HA Flickr friend, has an aunt that run a a non-profit charity called Letters from Home, in which she sends letters to lonely people in retirement homes. Here's a link to the website: http://lettersfromhomeinc.org/ It's kind of like what I am doing with Caring Hearts Card Drive. They don't accept cards, but they do accept donation to help with mailing cost and all. Thought I share the link here if it's something that you'd like to support.

On to cards, shall we? Since, I am working on tons of holiday card, sticking to simple & quick is a must. Here's a quick cards I made using the soon to be released Digital Doodles "Frosty Friend" snowman (you can purchase him starting next week at Two Peas In A Bucket). For this week though, you can win this digi stamp. Check out Kathy Martin's blog here for details and for eye candy from the DT.

Challenges:
Crafty Pad - christmas
Gingerloft - winter
Stamp Something - use something digi

This next set is for Thanksgiving. This turkey from DeNami is one of my favorite! He's sooo cute!

HA Pairing Up & Simon Says Stamp

Today, I have quite a few cards to share with you. I started another Hero Arts pairing up challenge. This time I am pairing up with Hannah F. Nicole. And our theme for this week is thank you card. I have quite a few people to thank lately, so this theme is perfect.   You can check out Hannah's card here.

Next...., I am super duper delighted to be sharing my card at Simon Says Stamp Challenge for this week. They are kindly supporting Caring Hearts Card Drive and dedicated this week challenge to the cause.

For my card, I used this tree from Hero Arts. I love this stamp from the moment I saw it. You can color it for any season. The litle turkey is from Denami Design, one of the stamp that I received from Susan Opel (Paper Crafts). Thank you, Susan!

Challenges:
Crazy 4 Challenges - fall or autumn

Here's my second card. I haven't use much kraft paper. At first, I wasn't sure if I like it, but I think it starts to grow on me.

And, last card. On this one, I actually covered all the leaves with diamond glaze, added bakers twine and popped the turkey.

I do this card drive simply because I believe that everybody should have something that make them happy during the holiday. And it's been such a joyful experience  for me, too and I've always wanted to do something meaningful for kids and the elderly. Jennifer McGuire inspires me with her Cards for Kids (I do have several cards for this waiting to be mail out), so with both card drive I get to support cause that close to my heart.

And, what amazes me & warms my heart is the support from the card makers and blogging friends. Every time someone emailed me saying they want to participate, I am filled with so much gratitude. I am in awe of everyone's kindness.

Oh yes, if you have some extra cards for kids, please consider mailing some for Logan & Bekah. They have "Spina Bifida" and you can read about them here.

Wanna share your love of card making and make other people happy? Then, join us for Caring Hearts Card Drive. We also going to have Caring Hearts Blog Hop this Saturday, 10/23/10. You have till Thursday evening to email me if you want to join the blog hop. Thank you so much for stopping by here. I appreciate all your supports and your thoughtful comments truly brighten my day. Hugs!

DeNami Blog Hop

Hi peeps. Welcome to DeNami Cuddly Critters Blog Hop. This is my 2nd post for today. For MyGrafico post please scroll down.

I am so excited to join DeNami blog hop! DeNami has the cutest stamps and I was glad to find out more about them at the summer CHA. If you come here from the sweet & talented Sherri Thompson blog then you're on the right track. If you miss any link, simply go to DeNami blog to see all the links.

All stamps I used on this card are from DeNami. The patterned paper are Chic Vera digi paper set from Woofy World at MyGrafico. I really should have bought more DeNami stamps back at CHA. I don't know how long I was browsing at their booth, but it was long, simply because I couldn't make up my mind of what I want to buy right away and what can wait. Looking at the cute puppy & bunny on the blog hop logo, make me wish I had gotten that set. LOL, I did hold it for the longest time before decided to go with the turtle & penguins one.

I'm also entering this card for these challenges:
Paper Romance - clean and simple
Shirley2Girls - (critters theme) spots and/or dots

I know you have lots of blog to hop to, so hop on over. Your next stop is the delightfully jazzy Tenia Nelson blog. Thank you all for stopping by and hope you enjoy your hop over here. Cheers...

Car issue

Pheww, I had quite a day yesterday. On our way to work (hubby and I carpool, since we work for the same company), in the middle of the HOV lane, suddenly my car battery light went on. I was like, what's going on? First thought, the light was just acting up. Next thing we know, the temperature light went on, followed by another light, etc., with all  the warning sound beeping. I looked at the temp needle it was all the way to H. Not close to, but all the way up there!

I freaked out, and asked hubby if he thinks our car going to blow up. Who knows, all  the warning lights were on. He said exit the carpool line as soon as we can. Anyway, we found a parking spot, turned off the car, called AAA. Love them, by the way. While waiting, we checked the car, try to re-start it after a while, now it's totally dead. Mind you, it's Texas, so even 8.30am, it was smoking hot, peeps! Was not fun! I do thank my guardian angel for watching over us, cause if we had not stop when we did, we would have fried our transmission completely.

Needless to say, called the boss and asked for day off so we can take care of the car and do some car shopping. We've been thinking of getting a new car, but was hoping that we can still get another year on my "Bu" (that's what a friend of ours called my Chevy Malibu Max). No such luck. By the end of the day, I am the proud owner of a new Hyundai Tucson. What really sold us on the car is really their 10 years or 100,000 miles warranty. I am not too happy about having a car payment, but we need dependable car. Now, from Bu to Blue. That's what I decided to call my new ride "Blue". I chose a bluish silver colors instead of plain silver and I thought it looks nice. Hopefully this wouldn't interfere with my stamping budget. LOL, I got my priority here, people! It was a stressful day.

Let's move on to cards, shall we? When I met Paulina from DeNami Design at CHA, I told her now that I know about DeNami and their cute stamp, I will start entering their challenge. Their latest challenge is all about glitters. She does love glitters. I think most of her card sample at CHA has glitters and they were awesome. So, here's my card for DeNami Product Challenge 3 in combination with Moxie Fab Signs of Peace Challenge.

I used my Silhouette to cut the peace signs & colord them with Copic. I thought this card turned out pretty cute! Totally adore that turtle. I really, really love anything turtle related. Except for when my car was moving like a turtle! :) Oh yeah, the idea for this card was that those stacked peace signs supposed to be birthday cake with the turtle as the cake topper. That was the idea for this groovy birthday cake card.

Then, on Facebook, Samantha Walker who designed for Silhouette has a challenge to create a project using her design. I love her cute design, so of course I have to join & play along. :) Here's my card using her cute car design and CPS sketch 178. I think yesterday car issue made me think of making a card that has car on it. LOL.

Hope you like both of the cards I have for today. Tomorrow, I'll have new fun challenge for you from Wee Memories. Come back tomorrow & join us. Have a super duper great Friday! Hugs, Vera.

CHA - Day 2 Report

Happy Monday, peeps! Are you ready for my CHA - day 2 report? Gonna be a long one!! I'll split it & save some story for tomorrow's post as well. :)  My day start at 1.05am. Yep, as in 1 in the morning!! My MIL, her sister, and me shared the room. Well, they both snore = me... no sleep. I kept tossing & turning, by 3am, I started to text hubby. Of course, he didn't get them till he woke up much later.

Thank goodness for iphone! I ended up browsing online, played game, and around 4 something I finally fell asleep. Then 5.20am, my MIL woke up. I woke up with her and she told me to go back to sleep, and I just pointed my finger to their bed, where her sister still blisfully asleep & snoring (love ya, Aunt Flo!!). She laughed & we decided to look for coffee downstairs, while her sister stayed in. It was nice though, I get to catch up with  my MIL.

When the show started. I shopped around, chatted with the Paper Crafts peeps again and they all signed my Gallery Idol card, except for Cath (Moxie Fab) as she wasn't around and later, I kept on missing her. At one point, Susan told me Cath was in while I was waiting at a make & take. The Paper Crafts gals are the best! They're so warm, funny, and just plain fun to talk to. Loved them!!

Anyway, I was going to see Cath after my make & take, except when I stood up, I feel like I am going to pass out. I think that's what 3 hours of sleep & empty stomach do to your body. LOL. Needless to say, I missed Cath, as I rushed back to the hotel to get some food in me. :)

After some rest, I got my second wind. Went back for more shopping. Heh... Loved shopping. Highlight of day 2??? See this pic??

Debbie, Mish, Heather, me, Nichole, Jennifer, & Dawn.
Me lovey Papertrey Ink!!!

Yep, me and all the Papertrey Ink gals! I wanted to jump up and down! It started with me saying hi to Jennifer Ellefson. We went way back. We were on the DT together for Simply Sentiments magazine in 2003-2004. We started to chat and then she said let me introduce you to the whole group. Eeekkkk....

And when I asked if we could take picture, Jennifer lined everybody up! Thank you Jennifer! I get to chatted with Dawn for awhile. Loved Dawn! She's sooo pretty and so sweet. And then, Nichole offered some stamp cleaners. She told me to get as many as I want, but since I only bring carry on and doesn't want to get stop by homeland security, I told her I just have 1. :) This company has the best peeps!

With Jennifer (Papertrey Ink)

Oh yes, they all signed my Papertrey notepad as well. And they gave the sweetest message & encouragement. Simply love them!! The kind of company t hat I would love to work for. I'll post about the make & take & all the goodies on tomorrow post.

I do have a couple cards to share with you, using my new DeNami stamp. Loved Paulina & Nami, amazing mother daughter duo. I love turtle. Kind of collecting things that turtle realted actually. So, as soon as I saw this stamp, there's no thinking required, I have to have it!! I used their sketch from their last challenge and since this is cute as can be, I have to enter this for Moxie Fab Fun & Cute challenge as well and the CAS-tastic Bling It Up challenge.

Close-up view to show the glittery outline

And, I can't stop using this cutie. Made another 1 using CPS 178 sketch. Again as this cute this go to Moxie Fab Fun & Cute and also Clean & Graphic challenge.

Are you still here?? If yes, thank you for reading all the way to the bottom. LOL. I know it's a super long post. Will share more tomorrow. Thank you all for stopping by. Any comments, thought, question about CHA, just let me know. Happy Monday!!

Merry Mayhem

Hi friends. How's it going. I know, my poor blog been so neglected. I do still making cards quite a bit, but I feel like people don...
