Hubby of Mine

Today we are celebrating hubby's birthday. We started the celebration yesterday with a fabulous crab leg dinner, courtesy hubby to try out the new induction cooktop he got from my mom. And it will continue today. :)

There are so many reason why I am so thankful for my hubby. My family loves him, too and they all think I am so lucky to have him as a hubby. My mom think he's the best son-in-law (hm.... I wonder if she says this because he cooks for us, hah...). No, for all seriousness,my family love him because he is sweet, thoughtful, and kind.

He is the kind of husband who saved the best piece of steak for his wife or given up the last piece of dessert because he knows his wife love dessert. The thoughtful hubby who woke up super early in the morning to let the dogs out, so his wife can sleep in. A strong man who doesn't mind sharing household duties, a supportive hubby who let his wife going to CHA because he knows how much papers and stamps make his wife happy. A quiet man who can be so silly and goofy. A thoughtful man who treat me like a princess.

He makes me a better person. Nope, he is not perfect, just like I am not perfect. But, we are good for each other. I am grateful to have him as my life partner and I want him to know that I appreciate him very much.

Below, is a layout I made of his 40th birthday. Isn't he so cute?? Honey, I know it doesn't sound manly, but I am your wife, I am allowed to say you are cute. Hah... Sorry for the crooked pic, I couldn't figure out how to take a good pic of 12x12 layout.

So, happy birthday to my best friend, my co-worker (yep, we work for the same company), daddy to our pups, hubby of mine. I love you and I wish you many happy blessings.

My Puppy Eat My Homework

I made this Kaylee's card for Some Odd Girl featured digi that went up on Some Odd Girl blog this past Monday.

And.... the sad thing about this card?? Eli the puppy love papers and cards just like his mom and he decided this card belongs to him. Luckily, I already took picture of the card when the accident happened.I tried to reprimand him, but he gave me this look that say, "why are you mad, I love card just like you, you should be happy about it!" Even hubby said that, yep, he's mommy boy, he loves paper.

Seriously, sometime he look through my scrap paper stash and kind of look around before deciding to pick one up. And, he thinks it's super funny when I am running around chasing him.

So... that term... my dog/puppy eat my homework is true. At least, I have picture of the card to remember what it looks like. :)

Fall Leaves

Happy October, lovely peeps! Are enjoying the lovely fall colors on your neck of the wood? I wish I could say that I am enjoying fall colors on my end, but there's not much fall colors here, except brown. No pretty mix of yellow, red, orange, etc.

But, I definitely can do fall leaves color on my card. :) Here's my CAS card using the leaves from Avocado Arts Gobble Till You Wobble set.

I simply colored each leave with distress marker and then stamp it to the card. And... what do you know... today we actually have fall weather in Houston. It's a nice change after the hot weather we have to endure in the summer. Hubby who grew up in Michigan, definitely loving this cooler weather.

Hope your October starts off wonderfully and may this month be a great month for you. Happy fall! And from here, please check out what the Pit Crew has created for you.

Geeky Turkey

Hi everyone and happy Sunday! Hope you have a good weekend so far.

It was a rainy Saturday here in Houston, so my mom and I spent the day shopping. have I told you that I'll be an aunt soon? Yep.. yep.. my li'l brother is going to be a daddy in just a few more months and they have just found out (even tough they've been guessing about it) that they will have a girl!!

So, needless to say, my mom and I start looking for girl stuff. :) We call the baby, li'l sunshine. This will be the first grandchild for my mom. The whole family is super excited. And yes... it's so hard not to go crazy shopping for baby stuff. So much cuteness....

We finished the day with a very nice family dinner with all my cousins which I enjoyed very much. It's nice to catch up with everyone and enjoying a good food at the same time.

Now, let's get down to card business, shall we? Today I am sharing a new project using Avocado Arts Gobble Till You Wobble set. You see the  turkey? Hah... it reminds me of my li'l brother when he was a toddler. My mom used to call him birdie with his big eyes and bald head. Just like the turkey. :)

This time I dressed up my naked turkey as geeky turkey. :)

I love fall colors in nature, but I have to admit that it's not my favorite color combo for card. I figure the pink color would liven up the card a bit. And, with that glasses I think my turkey looks pretty geeky cute. :)

My team mates has created some fabulous projects using this set. Check them out. Below is the list.

Thank you so much for stopping by here. Have a blessed Sunday everyone!

I am still alive. :) It's been quiet around here, isn't it? Well, this week I am swamped with submission projects and I also have my aunt and cousin from Wyoming staying with us. So, lots of family time and a bit less of blogging time.

But, I did manage to squeeze in a card to showcase the latest set from Becky Oehlers Stamp for Gina K. Designs, called "You say Goodbye I Say 'Ello."And, this set is a cutie!! Here's a look at the full set.

Moxie Fab Seasonal Decor

This morning, my old pug, Ollie woke us up several times. I am not sure what is wrong, but she whined and barked a lot through out the night. Starting at 1.30am. So, my morning didn't start in the best way, but oh boy, it changed right away with a visit to Moxie Fab World.

Yep, today Cath is sharing Seasonal Decor from Holiday Cards and More and she's showcasing my Seasonal Greeting Shadow Box!! (You can see the post HERE). I am so excited and thrilled. I think I yelped with excitement when I saw my project there. Then I am grinning ear to ear like a fool. :)

I have 4 projects published on this edition. Beside the shadow box, I also have this penguin card in there.

There are so many cool inspiration on this edition. And this is the first time I get to share the magazine with my mom. Usually she just see it on my blog, but since she is here, I am able to show her the magazine hot off the press.

Thank you for letting me share my excitement. Have a very happy Friday everyone!

Hi Y'all

Quick post today to share the latest digi release from Some Odd Girl. Today we're showcasing Cowgirl Mae and Pink Ribbon Mae.

First up is Cowgirl Mae and being a Texans, I have to use our slang of y'all. :)

I do adore Cowgirl Mae a lot. I think she just look super sweet & cute with her cowboy hat & boots. Sigh... I might be a Texans, bit those two items I do not have. I guess I am just not a wearing a hat kind of girl. Very rarely you'll see me with a hat. Am entering this cowgirl cutie to Moxie Fab World asymmetry challenge.

Next, another sweetness, this is Pink Ribbon Mae. I think almost all of us know someone who's affected by cancer and next month is breast cancer awareness month, so this image would be perfect for an encouragement, hope, or thinking of you card.

Check out what the Oddies girls created HERE. Thanks for swinging by here and I really appreciate your sweet & kind comments.

Puppy Cuteness

If you have followed my blog for a while, you know I love doggies. I sure have a soft spot in my heart reserved just for them.

So, when I saw Kristy's drawing for this month Some Odd Girl digi release, I know I have to have this puppy one. Kristy said she thought of me when she made this one. See... why I just love, love, love being in SOG DT? Kristy always pay attention to what we love.

Here's a look at the card I made using this cutie patootie. :)

That puppy's smile makes me think of Eli our pug puppy or as hubby like to call him li'l monster. Despite his nickname, he really is adorable. And speaking about puppy, Eli was in heaven last night because my mom let him sleep with her and that sneaky boy sneak under the blanket and snuggle with her like it's nobody business. Sigh... like they said that's what grandma's for, right? To spoil your kid!! :D

Now, back to the card. This is actually a mini card, size 4-1/2 x 3-1/4. I kind of dig this size. Hah... with my simple and clean style, the small size is really appealing to me.  Do you like making mini cards?

Check out what the DT created for this releases HERE.

Also, in two weeks I will be starting my card drive to collect holiday cards for the elderly that lives in nursing homes. Kristy the owner of Some Odd Girl has generously designed the badge for the card drive. I am telling you, she is a super girl. I asked her about it and bam... in just a couple hours... she had it done. And she must have known my style really well, because what she designed is exactly what I had in mind, but she beat me to it before I even relay my thought to her.

Anyway... if you have any nursing homes in mind that you think would love to receive the holiday cards from the card drive please let me know. I am hoping we can support 7-10 nursing homes. Please email me at wirianta at hotmail dot com and let me know.

That's it for me today and thank you all so much for stopping by here and I notice some new followers. Welcome and I hope you find some inspiration here. Have a fantastic day everyone! :)
