Becky & Melanie Blog Hop

Happy Holiday Hop! Becky and Melanie (designer for Gina K. Designs) thought it would be great fun to team up for a little Holiday Hop today. We are showcasing Becky's new set, "Warm Woolen Mittens" along with Becky's new cut file "Grand Banners" and "Grand Banners - Winter Sentiments" and Melanie's new set, "Lots of Letters" today. Joining us are some dynamic designers that will knock your socks off with their beautiful work today!

Make sure you visit everyone's blog to leave a comment and be entered to win a clear "I do!" and "Beyond Baskets" stamp set! Now onto today's projects!
For our team, we were asked to create banners with matching card. Now, let me warn you. I am behind in my Christmas decorating. Right now the only thing we finished decorating is the pergola in our backyard that we decorated with ornaments around it and this tiny tree.
And, right  now that's the best spot I can find to hang my banner.

Here's a close up of the banner. I created the background using the border from  Warm Woolen Mittens set. stamped in various green ink.

And, here's a pic of the banner with the tree. Sorry for the grainy picture. It is really hard to get good picture with the lighting we have.

The color on this card makes me happy. :)

I have to thank Becky for taking my suggestion and created this amazing set. She truly is fun and fabulous to work for. I am sure you will love this set as you hop along and see more inspirations.

Here's a complete list for the hop:

Not Quite Cross Stitch Bear

How's that for post title? I am stumped and that's the best I can come  up with. Today is the last day of Some Odd Girl Hol-odd-day hop and I want to show this cutie patootie one more time.

This time, I used my aida cross stitch fabric and back the bear with a cushy tick felt, so when you touch the bear it kind of cushiony. :)

The yummy background is the herringbone background from Becky Oehlers (for Gina K. Designs) You Say Goodbye, I Say 'Ello set. Love, love, love that background and especially in this color combo, swoon... And, I think by making the scarf & hat in neon colors it really pop the bear and make this card a super happy card. I am entering this card to Moxie Fab Keen on Neon challenge.

Only the bear part is made of cross stitch fabric. The rest is paper. Love it when I get to combine material like this. Am also entering this card for Paper Crafts December holiday challenge.

Sigh... this bear cute face reminds me of my sweet  trouble maker, Eli. I know, he's a pug, but as his mama, I think he's cute just like the polar bear. Hah... Enjoy your Thursday, peeps!

Mistletoe Memories

Quick post for today. A little bit of update for Caring Hearts Card Drive. So far I have received 735 cards and my goal is 1000. And there's still time to participate. The card drive runs till the end of November. So, if you have thought of sending some cards, please do so. Every single card counts. :)

And, here's a card I made for the card drive using Becky Oehlers stamp for Gina K Designs. The mistletoe, text border, and the sentiment are from Mistletoe Memories clear set and the herringbone border is from You Say Goodbye I say 'Ello set (one of my favorite border!!).

Oh, and yes... I have a winner from Paper Crafts blog hop. The lucky gal who win Paper Crafts Die Cutting for Paper Crafters magazine is:

Congrats, Kris and thank you to everyone for hopping along. Hope you get to get off work early today. I am and using this chance to have lunch with friend. :)

Bonjour from Maui

Bonjour, peeps. Last night I spent some time on my craft desk and slowly finding some inspiration trickling in. Slowly. I often find myself just start doing a bunch of fussy cutting when I don't feel like I have a mojo. And, that's exactly what I did last night.

The cutting allow my mind to just chill and wonder and allow my mojo to sneaking back in. One of the card that I made is this one using the super cute tea cup from Becky Oehler's You Say Goodbye I Say' Ello set. And that background is my favorite of the moment. :)

BTW, this set comes in both clear and rubber stamp. And matching cut file.

Now, as I promised, I am back with more vacation pictures. We spent 2 nights in Honolulu and spent the rest of our vacation time in Maui. I love the laid back atmosphere of Maui and its gorgeous scenic view.

Of course, being in Hawai'i, we have to see the luau. And I was so proud of myself when I was able to catch this fire dance. Love it!

The fire dance at the luau.

Then after a night at the luau, we spent the next day snorkling at the famous Molokini crater. Hubby took this pic.

Snorkling at the Molokini crater.

From Molokini we cruise by to Turtle town and to my delight we were able to watch quite a few turtle swim by. I have soft spot for animals and turtle is one of them. To watch them in their own habitat is amazing. It did get annoying though when some people wouldn't listen to the warning not to swim too close or not to touch them. Haven't they know they could just zoom in with their camera??

We were lucky to see several turtles swimming close by us.

The next day we went up to the Haleakala summit. Hubby loves it whenever we get to go somewhere high above sea level. This one the summit is about 10,000 feet above sea level. LOL, originally hubby thought of watching sunrise there, which mean we have to leave around 4 in the morning. Let just say the alarm went off and I simply ask, "Later?" and the answer that I expected came out. Yep... we didn't make it for the sunrise trip.

On the way up to Haleakala Summit. Such a gorgeous view!

And, I am glad we did the trip during the day as otherwise we would have missed the many gorgeous view along the way. The variations of blue of the sky and the ocean combine with the green of the mountain are simply breathtaking. And the unique landscape of Haleakala is pretty stunning to see.

At the amazing Haleakala Summit with my mom.

Also, in the past couple years I've been into taking jumping pic during vacation. Of course, when I saw this amazing spot, I had to do one. I called this careful jumping as this rocky hill simply drop to rocky pile, so I had to make sure I land on the same safe spot. :)

One of my favorite pic from the vacation. :)

Hope you enjoy the pics. I know many of you come here for card, but I hope you also enjoy seeing some pictures. :)

Thank you all for stopping by here and have a blessed day.

You Say Goodbye I Say 'Ello

I am still alive. :) It's been quiet around here, isn't it? Well, this week I am swamped with submission projects and I also have my aunt and cousin from Wyoming staying with us. So, lots of family time and a bit less of blogging time.

But, I did manage to squeeze in a card to showcase the latest set from Becky Oehlers Stamp for Gina K. Designs, called "You say Goodbye I Say 'Ello."And, this set is a cutie!! Here's a look at the full set.

You Say Goodbye and I Say Ello- CLEAR

The set comes in CLEAR and RUBBER. How awesome is this set?? Here's my card with all it's chevron trendiness. :)

Now, please check out what the fab girls in our team has created using this set.

And, I also want to do a quick birthday shout out to my girl, Laurel Beard. We clicked from the moment we met and I am so thankful for her friendship. Laurel, I wish you the very best and may this year be your best one, yet. Hugs. xx

To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hops!! Today, I am highlighting the newest Becky Oehlers set called “American Made” which is available for purchase in CLEAR and RUBBER!

First, let's take a look at the stamp set.

American Made- CLEAR

To me this set has a bit of vintage look and a bit of rugged look. And, what I love, that ray, when you stamp it twice will create a full circle of rays. Simply fabulous. Also available from Becky Oehlers this month:

Here's my card using the rays and the label.

The ray is embossed with sparkle embossing powder, so in person the card actually has a nice glitter to it. And, I couldn't stop at just one card as I want to use the ray with die-cut. I cut the map using Silhouette and stamp the ray twice. Then add the fine lines ray in between  the solid ray.

I know you have quite a few blogs to visit, so I'll keep it short. Below is a list of the blog for the hop. Thank you so much for stopping by here and have fun hopping!! :)

This set is just what I needed as I don't have any wedding set in my stash. Of course, for my card I go for CAS style. :)

I love the clean design of this stamp set. The hexagon border is so versatile. And the plus, the equal symbol, and the parenthesis can be used with so many other stamp sets. LOVE!

Becky Oehlers Stamps

Today, I have an exciting crafty news to share. I've been asked and have delightfully accepted to join Becky Oehlers' mini design team. She is joining Gina K Designs as their stamp illustrator. You probably already familiar with her clean design style as she previously she designed some fabulous sets for Papertrey Ink.

I met Becky through Avocado Arts (which I am joining as well and my term with them will starts in July) and when she asked me to join her team, I was pleasantly surprised and honored. I will start sharing Becky's design starting in July. I can tell you that you will love her fabulous clean design style!

Another fun news, the new Paper Crafts Stamp It! Cards is finally out! I have 3 cards published in this edition and here's a look at one of the card, featuring my favorite gnome. :)
